"cutting down" should not enter your mind for a long time.
Thank you.
You're in the low teens I think, but it's harder to say without more muscle on your frame.
Cutting? HELL no... time to get some mass on you :)
Thank you. Time to get back on a decent program. Gyms are back in the UK in April. I have a few weeks to get prepped.
Thanks again.
Hey dude would you mind giving me your estimation? Adam did already cover it but would like as many opinions as possible!

A good rule of thumb is to just take what you'd estimate for a dude and add 7-9% points to it.
Hey guys,
I'd like to get your estimate on my current BF%. You can find the pictures in my body space gallery. Here are my stats:
Age: 41
Height: 5'10
Weight: 185 lbs
Waist: 30.5"
I appreciate your opinion and thanks in advance for your help.

DAMN son... you look awesome.
Taking into account you have a small amount of loose skin... i'm thinking 9-10%...
That's like my dream build right there... nice work!
How long have you been lifting? What's your training and diet like?

Thanks man, I really appreciate it.
You look shredded in your profile pic friend, more similar to what a real 9-10% BF is... wouldn't that put me in about 12% BF (that was my original self estimation)?
As for my history and training/diet: I lifted in my twenties but I wasn't too serious about it. As everyone else, I was getting newbie gains without really knowing what I was doing. Anyway, I got decent progress back then... I also used to play different sports (mostly recreational and a little bit organized in high school and university): baseball, basketball, table tennis, etc
Then life got in the way and although I was having great results at the professional level and was extremely happy with my growing family, I lived a sedentary life for more than 10-12 years and ended up obese (still happy with myself and with my life, but obese).
So I started really serious 5 years ago with everything on point: training, diet, recovery, etc. Since I started obese and I've previously lifted, I guess muscle memory helped in some way along and I was able to do recomposition (like a lot)... gained back muscle and lost a lot of fat.
I'm currently eating about 2800-3000 cals daily (getting about 180-200 gr of protein daily and the remaining cals distributed between fats and carbs), supplementing with Protein, creatine and pre-workout. I'm not longer tracking every macro of my diet, but part of my results were initially to doing so... I learned to get a good balance nutrition because of it.
As for training: I train 5 days a week and I've tried different splits like PPL, BROish splits and some random/custom one I've designed in order to try to squeeze a particular movement more than one time per week in order to progress better on it. My focus is powerbuilding, I really like to deadlift, squat and bench press and also I like to progress on all other bodybuilding classic movements. I'm currently back to one muscle per week: Monday-Chest, Tuesday-Back, Wednesday-Shoulders, Thursday-Legs, Friday-Arms (but also performing first movements that hit again the chest and the back, like bench press and weighted dips and chin-ups)
I also try to begin everyday with a big/challenging compound movement: Mon-Bench, Tues-Deadlifts, Wed-Overhead Press, Thurs-Squat, Fri-Bench and Weighted-Chins
I also try to apply double progression to my movements, trying to get stronger both in low and high reps.
Sorry about the long message, I hope this also helps other people trying to achieve their goals!

Im honestly not sure I'm leaner than you in my avi... at least not by much
Reason I say that is because you hold SO much more lean mass than me (I'm 6-foot and only weigh like 146lb right now), and I also can't tell if your quads are flexed.
There is a chance, yes, you're between 10-12%, but I just think with the amount of muscle you're holding, 10% or so is more likely. I can see all your abs, you have thin skin around your obliques... the only thing that would make me think otherwise would be lower-body leanness. Your TORSO certainly is lean enough to justify an estimate of 10% or so.
That's a very cool story. I actually follow some of the same methods right now from your PPL days, but I suffered from an eating disorder for a LONG time and i'm only now seeing longer term progress after 15+ years of lifting.
If I could get to your point by age 40 (i'm 35 now) I would be thrilled!
I'm trying to post a response since yesterday (thanks AdamWW for your comments) and for some reason I'm getting some weird errors when trying to post... I just posted a response on a different thread and it worked fine.
Is there a limit of post in a thread or something? Not sure what's happening with this one.

Every so often the forum gets super weird errors... it’s frustrating. I’m not sure what causes it.
Basically you’ll type a response that’s too long for whatever reason and it’ll just not let you post.
You can try making a shorter response and see if it helps, but I haven’t been able to figure out why it happens sometimes.

Thanks for the suggestion buddy. I'll try sending shorter messages... which is a good practice anyway :)

Honestly it’s happened to me before even with shorter responses. This forum has some pretty outdated code running it and I think over time the site owners just haven’t thought to upgrade the software.
Hello all,
I wanted to get an estimate before starting to cut. I'm 5'10' and 215 pounds right now and looking to get down to 190. Any feedback and tips are always appreciated!

What is the percentage of fat? Start by losing weight or gaining muscle mass? Thanks for answers!
About 22-23%
Hey guys, so I don't post much but I'm always reading the forum.
I would like help once again with a bodyfat assessment
I'm 32,183 cm tall and currently weight 79kg, the other pic was from around 4 months ago and I my weight was around 82-83 kg
My stats on all major lifts have gone up, though not very fast
What is my bodyfat %? Thank you in advance! (Pics in bodyspace)

I also see him in that range. Even though he's holding a lot of fat in his mid section, it doesn't seem he has that much in his chest and upper body... However, I don't see his legs.
76.5kg - been at a slight deficit/maintenance for a while, BF% estimate please - also maybe an opinion on cut/bulk?
Open to opinions.
Current lifts:
S: 125kg / 275lb
OHP: 62.5kg / 137lb
DL: 150kg / 330lb
B: 100kg / 220lb

Looks like around 15% or so.
You still have plenty of muscle to gain... personally I think you should just lean bulk and build up your base more.
New to the forum and would be helpful to get a rough estimate of body fat.
If someone can look at my progress photos (as I can’t work out how to post photos) and have a guess that would be helpful as I’m guessing 22%-24% but hoping for a bit lower.
Age 29
Height 6 ft 6 inch
Weight 205 lbs
Lifting for about 4 months

I’d say that’s a reasonable guess
I hope someone can estimate my body fat from this picture. I am 42, 5' 10'', weight is 195 lbs. Thanks in advance!

My actual number only dropped a few since last weigh-in here but my look seems to have. Been incorporating some new lifts in the past month.
Wondering where I am now, Down from 153.6 in December to 137.6 lbs presently.
