Would appreciate a BF% estimate and recommendation on where to go from here? 5ft 11, 80KG. Currently 3 months into a cut from 92KG. I think I know the answer but need some good advice
Thanks
About 21%BF.
I'd keep it up no doubt, you seem to have enough mass to support a cut down to 10-12%BF.
Hello, this is my first post on this awesome forum. i am relatively new lifter and have managed to lose over 25 pounds over the last 4 months.
my stats:
6 feet 3- 190cm
185 lbs-- 82 kg
19y/o
i am looking for an BF estimate, oh and also im a bit concerned about the calculations i got that i shpould eat around 1500 calories to lose BF. idk know why but that seems a bit low considering i lift 3-5 times a week. Could anyone help me out?
appreciate it
Around 16%BF.
I'm thinking you shouldn't try to lose BF as a first priority. Rather lift at maintenance or slightly above. Maintenance for body recomp or slight surplus for more mass.
No matter your choice (you don't have to take my advice), 1500kcal is way too low to progress in lifts or support a decent activity level. Start where you're at in terms of calories or just pick a number that makes sense... adjust from there if needed.
Would really appreciate an estimate.
Have been getting back into lifting, and lost about 11kg / 24lbs this year.
I'm at 68.6kg / 151lbs now.
My height is 180cm / 5'11.
I'm careful with my diet and hitting the gym 5 days a week. 5 minutes run before each workout and doing some hill walking a couple of times a week. Will probably put in some swimming and rowing too.
Trying to ramp up the cutting and cardio, minimise drinking and hoping to have some more definition for beach in a month and
then switch to bulking after six weeks / 2 months.
Any tips for ways to burn fast without losing the muscle I have would be great. Thanks.
Close to 15%BF.
Eat high protein and lift to progress in the gym by adding weight/reps. Muscle loss isn't something to be concerned with at this stage.

IMO you're already lean enough and close to the point where you won't benefit from cutting further.
In between 13-14%BF.

Looking for tips to cut, is a keto diet on 1400 calories good? I assume that's quite low but I figure there isn't too much muscle to lose. Also at what bf should I bulk?

Maybe a bit higher, as you don't have much muscle... about 23-24%BF.
If you perform well on keto (fats for fuel) that might be fine, otherwise you'd benefit from a regular diet. I'd say 1400 calories is too low for a male, rather eat more and lift/exercise more. You'll get a lot better bodycomposition results that way and you'll be healthier.

About 18%BF. You might have wide hips and some fat there aswell. What you need to focus more on is lifting a lot of weights and getting stronger/building muscle. Start around maintenance calories, performance and activity should be the main focus, so adjust your intake with that in mind.
Estimate please... 6’3” 200lbs

In my opinion you shouldn't try to lose more fat, rather build muscle. But that's me, your goals might be different.
Since you are that active, I don't think you should lower your intake regardless. Rather promote health by keeping the same intake or slightly higher if you want to build muscle. You'll likely improve your body compostion anyway due to high amounts of activity.

Thanks for the estimate, similar to what i thought, just wanted to make sure i'm not delusional.
For the record, the attached is where i started off, what would you say my starting bf% was?

In around 22%BF. Keep up the lifting progress during your cut. Keep a steady deficit of -500 (1lb/week) to have enough energy for pushing through and improving in the gym.
