Can anyone estimate my body fat? I have been on this weight loss journey for almost two years on and off. My starting weight was 136lb size 6, I am wearing between size 0-4 now depending on the brand. I work out 4-5 times a week, doing mostly resistance training and 20 minutes cardio at the end about 2-3 times out of those days. My calorie intake is 1500-1600 per day, and my weekday food intake is usually like this:
Breakfast: black coffee, 1/2 cup oatmeal cooked with water, 2 boiled eggs
snack: one small fruit
lunch: 300-400 grams of boiled brocolli, 150-200gram of lean protein (fish or chicken)
snack: greek yogurt
pre-workout: chocolate banana almond beverage from Costco (120 cal 10grams of protein, 12 grams of carbs)
dinner: mostly homemade soup with meat, mushrooms, veggies, and tofu.
I don't add oil when I cook, so my fat intake is less than 45 grams most of the time. I eat out once or twice weekly but I choose healthier food.
I feel like the last year has been very hard for me to go down from 123lb to 117. I want to get shredded where I can see clear muscle definition...6 packs...defined back and leg muscles.... Any suggestions??
Hey,
Last year I went from 230lbs to 185, then stopped with the cut and focused more on building muscle. Then again I started a cut in January to try to get lean. Right now I’m at 177lb and 21% body fat according to my scale. What do you think? Also I’ve hit a plateau and can’t seem to lose fat even though I’m following my macros religiously.
Macros are:
250g carbs
50g fat
120g protein

About 14-15%. You may not have enough muscle mass to get a full six pack but you aren't far away from having some visible abs.

21% sounds actually close to it. To lose fat you will need to drop more calories so anytime you stall drop 200-300 calories. Remember to follow a proven weight training program like Starting Strength or Fierce 5.

17-18% look good. Solid core so you haven't added lots of fat and shows you have been lifting well. You have the mass to cut to around 11-12% then go on another lean bulk. Well done
Last time I received a percentage range of 23-24%, I've only lost 4lbs since then, which I know is not a tonne - I would just like to know if my body composition is heading in the right direction in terms of getting rid of fat and keeping muscle, I think I look like I've lost a percentage or so. Suggest whether to cut or bulk and fat %
What is my body fat %? Lost 45 lbs from May 2018 until Dec 2018 where I weighed 174 lbs at my lightest. Started bulking and for the first time serious training with Fierce 5 on Dec 2. You cant tell but my legs got massive compared to what they were. Almost 3 months into the bulk now and weighed in at 189 lbs today. I gained 15 lbs. I know it is too quick. I tried to slowly bulk but right from the beginning I was gaining over a pound a week and did not see much difference in my stomach until now. I had bought all 32 size clothes in October and now they are getting tight and don't want to have to buy a bigger size. I was thinking of cutting for a couple months to get my stomach down. Should I do that or slow the bulk way down? I am very lean everywhere else but my stomach. My current stats: 53 years old, 5'8'' 189 lbs. Attached a couple pics to compare from November until now. Thanks for any advice.

You are at around 16%. I would personally just slow the bulk down and progress with your lifts. I found the same thing when I bulk I add a bit of fat to begin with then it slows down just keep the same calories and keep pushing at the gym. Once you are unable to keep increasing the weight and volume as prescribed in the Fierce 5 or your weight stops increasing after a month or two completely then increase calories a bit. You are certainly built and don't look fat one bit.
Hey can I get an estimate on my body fat? 4 most recent pics in my body space. About to start my second cut and want to see where i stand.
First cut was a success. Don’t think I gained too much muscle since last time I started cutting but my lifts are where they were last time and I’m fifteen pounds lighter. Thanks in advance!

You look pretty solid so good bulk really. You can still see your core and there is no real overhang of any belly so I have your around 19 - 20% mark.

I would estimate around 18%. Just a note 8% is very hard to get to and is nearly stage ready for most of the old school bodybuilders, I would just keep going until you are happy with your leanness you might be surprisingly happy with a bf% higher and easier to maintain especially if you have the muscle mass to pull of low levels of bf%.

Thank you! If im indeed 18% i should be 9% at 175lbs if i dont lose any lean tissue. Most people have visible abs at around 12% with decent muscle size but when at single digits you see deep striations and vascularity everywhere thats what im aiming for

Yep sounds good. I can imagine you will be below 10% close to that weight (maybe in the bracket 165-175lbs depending on water, glycogen and all the other fluff that effects weight). Good luck

About 12-13%. 100% bulk you lack muscle to cut you will just be very skinny. Follow a good proven program like Fierce 5, Starting Strength, StrongLifts or All pro whilst eating 200-300 calories above maintenance. Aim to add 2-3lbs a month.

I would say around 23% body fat. You have done a good job so far. Regarding what you should do now depends on whether you want to be shredded which means getting smaller as a side effect or you want to get bigger which means gaining fat as a side effect.

Hey Guys, I'm here because my body depresses me. I am 6'5ft tall, 20 and only weigh 80kg and my body is no where close to what I want it to look like.
I decided to cut before trying to gain mass and have managed to drop 25kg total.
I look like a stick :) I know.
Just wondering if you could give me a body fat % estimate. I was 105kg at the start of 2018 and have lost a lot of fat but also muscle mass in the process.
Whenever I measure myself using scales/US navy method... stuff like that it's always telling me 10-13% which I know cant be true..
I feel like as well I have bitch tits now due to my fat loss and loose skin and was wondering if there is anything I can do to fix that.
Cheers all.

Hey guys!
I've created my account here yesterday for the sole purpose of reaching my goal which is to both lose body fat and gain muscle mass.
I began heading to the gym on January 2018 and along the way went from 165 pounds to 147.2 pounds. However, the one thing I haven't been monitoring lately was my body fat percentage.
I am 19 years old, 5'9 in height, and currently, weigh 147.2 pounds.
I've purchased a slim guide skinfold caliper about three months ago and some changes were shown. On my first day it said that I was around 20% body fat. Then, later down the road, I dropped down to 18% bodyfat.
However, I haven't gone to the gym for about a month due to my finals haunting me. And it was a NIGHTMARE not going back to the gym.
But now I'm back on track.
My caliper's say that I'm currently at 19.7% body fat and I would like your input on whether or not it is correct.
Pics in body space
At this point, should I bulk or cut?
I’m so ready to bulk. Been in a deficit for almost 4 months now.

Thanks. I just spent 7 months cutting so seeing the body fat slowly come back gives me anxiety
6'1 and about 184 currently. My last bulk wasn't good. I didn't gain much strength or muscle even though I put on about 15 pounds over a year. I've been cutting for about 6 weeks trying to get lean enough again to go on another extended bulk since I'm still lacking muscle mass. I want to go down below my last cut which was about 180 so I'm not just yo yoing back and forth and I'll have room to put on a lot of weight before cutting again.
These photos were taken this morning after a weekend where I was easily at or above maintenance since I was out of town.
Thanks man...was a little bummed when the other person said 25%!
Don't be you look lean, not sure what the other guy was seeing but never mind as Squid99 said you don't have an outline and pelvic V at 25% so you are in a good place.
Thanks. I just spent 7 months cutting so seeing the body fat slowly come back gives me anxiety
I know how it feels my last cut was very late so I missed all the summer and only got lean just before Xmas (really pointless time). But remember you didn't gain fat overnight before your previous cut, so you wont this time its just a case of taking things slower muscle takes time to grow.
I've been trying to guess my BF percentage, but I'm not so sure if it's correct, and would like some help on this.
Thinking of trying to cut into 10-13% BF and then lean bulk

13-14% isn't that far off actually. You just lack lean body mass. I wouldn't feel depressed you are actually in a pretty good starting point. You are lean therefore any muscle gain will be more noticeable. You need to start a lean bulk and aim to add about 2-3lbs a month. Have a look for a good program on the workout stickies (I recommend Fierce 5, Allpro and Starting Strength).
To get rid of the extra fat on your chest you should build bigger chest muscle (this will stretch out the fat over a bigger surface area). Yes it is slow and will take about 6-18 months but you will see results quicker as you are slim but this will offer the best results.

At this point, should I bulk or cut?
Little bit lower around 17-18%. I would bulk with a very small surplus of calories. Building muscle will offer a better result then cutting to nothing.
I’m so ready to bulk. Been in a deficit for almost 4 months now.

Also, thinking about lean bulking once I hit 150-155. How does this sound? Scared of putting on fat with the beach in a few months.
15-16%. 3lbs will make no different so if you do plan to cut further it will have to be about 10lbs (8lb is fine as well). Its up to you really if you want to be leaner for the beach cut as stated then slowly bulk through the summer or maintain. I would however not cut too low and think about building muscle (so don't bother dropping more then 10lbs).
13-14%.
I've been trying to guess my BF percentage, but I'm not so sure if it's correct, and would like some help on this.
Thinking of trying to cut into 10-13% BF and then lean bulk
