What would you estimate my body fat percentage to be? I'm 5'11 and 164 lbs, pics on my profile.
About 17%
Could I get an estimate on my current body fat? I know it's pretty high but I'm just wondering what my baseline body fat is since I'm going to start to try to lose some weight. I wanna take this seriously and track my body fat along the way to the best of my ability. For some reference I'm 6'1 and 235 lbs. The photos are in my gallery on my profile. (Sorry for any confusion I'm new here.)
Here are some stats
Height: 6'1
Weight: 235
Wasit: 45 inches
In between 30-35%. I would measure your waist once a month or so. That should tell you how your bf is trending.
Would like some guesstimates!

Hey. You seem very knowledgeable! Mind to give me an estimate, please?
The photograph is attached. I am 140 pounds at 5'10". The waist is 30". I have been cutting from 200 pounds at the beginning of the year (a daily 750 calorie deficit, mainly through diet). I had some muscle mass before (from dirty bulking for a couple of months) but did lose some (as it was difficult to train as hard on a long deficit but I did keep my diet in check with high protein and fair calories!). My goal is to hit 9% before starting a 9-11% cycle (6:1 months), as my job requires me to be lean (modelling) - tape measure, calipers and impedance scales give measurements in the 10-11% range. To note, I also did lose some water weight recently by cutting out some carbohydrates and salt.
Appreciated!

Hey. I am a different user but also looking to contribute. :-) Are you referring to the photograph from this May, as I cannot find a more recent one? If so, about 15% (+/-1%, as it is difficult to be more exact at a higher %). Pretty sure that a lot could have changed in the last months, so an updated one would be nice! Good luck, pal.
I've been attempting to cut my body fat for a few months now, and have since dropped some 20 lbs to my current weight of 138. My height is 5'9". Body fat calculators online tell me that I should be at about 6-9% body fat but I find this hard to believe given my muscle definition - or do I merely not have enough muscle mass? I'm wondering if I should now be trying to bulk up, which I was hesitant to do earlier until I had dropped my excess fat. Any advice is appreciated.
Would prioritize the pelvic tilt correction ASAP.

Thanks! Seems that all the knowledgeable and fair people are saying this! Some are saying skinny-fat and 15-20% (seems more troll).
My question - how come all the tests (calipers, tape, impedance) overestimate me when from experience of other people they usually underestimate? Also to note, I am not so good with calipers, as it seems that I am using them wrong (used to get about 12.5% before and now getting like 5-7.5% by a different approach - so calling the average of 10% here!).

Good morning, 20 y/o (not 48 like this says lol), I (try to) do athletics, 6'1'' (185 cm.), 156 lbs (70.7 kg.), two months ago I was in 173 lbs. (78.4 kg.), despite my hips, I think I'm skinny, and getting skinnier as time goes by.
Photos from now, after I had dinner (let's assume % will be a bit, not too much, higher). My weighing machine told me I was at 14.0% when I woke up, but I do not trust it at all. Let's see what do you think, 'cause you know more!

Ok, I think these six photos are better than the last six. Maybe they do not change the guess, but I think they are better, I have not eaten a lot this night and I've done 90 minutes of cycling so this is almost how I look when I wake up. No core exercise , not even flexing , clean photos.
Weighing machine gave me 14.0%, I do not think if it is real in global. I have fat in some zones while in others I only have veins or tiny muscles I did not know they existed.
As I said, 186 cm in the morning, 185 rest of the day ,like 6' 1.25 '', and 70.7 kilograms (155.7 lbs). 20 y/o .Thanks!

you could gain a lot of muscle mass though.. not much definition..

Picture in body space. I have a feeling I’m skinny fat. 151 lbs, 5’9.
What do you think. What do you suggest I do moving forward? I’m afraid to lose more weight and get into the 140s but I still feel fat.

Anything "mini" is useless, being less than a (couple of) month(s); otherwise, you shouldn't call it mini.
Yes, cut to 10% in like 2 months (moderate deficit to preserve muscle - 500 calories), then bulk to 12-13%, then go for the 9-11% (6:1 months) cycle.

Got some luck with the scale then, wouldn't rely on it too much though; on top of the value still being approximate (+/1% probably). Cut another 5-10 pounds to lose 2-4% but 10% should be the goal.

Well, today I'm in exactly 154.6 lbs as I lost one due to fasting for 12 hours for a blood extraction. Only water lost. In these photos I'm posting, from 2015 and 2016, I was between 148 and 155 lbs., so muscle mass was not so different (basically because I was in a lower weight than now with less body fat), I started in 132 lbs. so very skinny and doing only gym machines and abs, and although I looked very skinny, I gained a lot of definition and looked stronger (despite my height and weight) than in 170 lbs. My only goal is to discover my abs, as my legs (I do athletics) are already pretty cut, and I do not want upper body extra mass.
I think in these photos I would be in the first two over the 10% (¿12?, don't know) and in the third, in which I had 4 pounds less, and less muscle, probably somewhere between 10 and 12. I'm maybe in 14-15 and still not showing byceps veins. Starting in forearms as you can see.

You are posting very bad quality photographs and do not state exactly what do you want with all the story. Given the context of the thread, we will focus on the body fat percentage. Post a (at least a decent quality, no blur) recent photograph of your bare chest (preferably more - including the waist and neck) together with your height (will take 155 pounds/70 kg as the current weight - no need to go into grams and water retention; you are not at that stage to micromanage). Looking forward! :-)
At the moment I would give you about 12.5-15% skinny-fat, as it does not seem that you have the effort to be lower (seem to be focusing on other things instead). Hopefully I am wrong, please prove me! :-)

Hey. I would say about 9%. Plenty of muscle mass as well! What is your waist circumference, like 31 inches?
I would cut another 5 pounds at a slow deficit (250-500) for a couple of weeks to reach an ideal physique, together with flushing out the water with reduced carbohydrates and sodium.

It comes down to how skilled the person is at using the caliper (some people underpinch their fat and thus get an estimate that's too low) and it also depends on which formula the person puts the numbers in.
IME, Calipers are better for measuring changes in body fat than they are giving absolute numbers.

You're bulking too fast/putting on too much fat. Bf is about 20% Cut and next time bulk at a slower rate.

Very difficult to estimate visually-only from the photographs provided, given that you have definitely gained sufficient fat. How much did you gain during your three-months bulk? I would guess thirty pounds (1000 daily calorie surplus). If you trained at least decently and have sufficient rest (including sleep) helped by a diet as a beginner you were ought to make some gains (more difficult not to make any) - judge your strength gains by the lifting numbers. Having said that, definitely cut - would not expect MUCH definition but it certainly will set out a path for a better bulk next time (like it has been mentioned make it lean the next time - 250-500 maximum!).

Thanks.
I was at 176 pounds when i started my cut , now i am 190 pounds.
I tried a few weeks ago , for one week lowerd my carbs to 25% and my calories alot, i lost 6 pounds in water weight so i can estimate that for these 3 months i gained 8 pounds of somthing.
In my fitnes they have a scale called "INbody" and i did it every month im going to post a picture in my profile.
Also some more of mine so you can compare beter.
I take notes of my big lifts (bench ,deadlift squat, military press) and i am 4 times stronger theb when i started my bulk.
My 1RM deadlift is 250 pounds.
I just cant notice gains and im geting discouraged to work out. Thats why im asking here.
Please see the aditional photos

Hello,
I'd love an estimate of my BF%.
Height: 5'11.5"
Weight: 130lbs
I'm a super skinny guy and spent all last winter working outside for 15 hours a day so I just ate whatever I could with no exercising to put on about 20lbs of fat to keep warm. Spoilers, it didn't help, haha. In May, I started doing bodyweight exercises again to lose that fat and now I'm back at the gym as of yesterday to put on some weight properly.
The pic with the toque is in the evening post-workout after a day of food and water. The pic without the toque is first thing in the morning. They also give an idea of how much lighting can change things too. Both flexing.
I've been tracking my progress with an Omron scale, Navy Estimate method, and Calipers. Now that I'm going to the gym I decided to get a Dexa scan for the heck of it and let's just say one of these 4 methods gave a wildly different result than the others, haha. Not just a little different, or fairly different, but wildly different. So I figured I'd post here to get yet another point of view.
