Hey everyone, I just began a bulk after reverse dieting for a couple of months to try and reverse the effects of metabolic damage sustained over the years pretty much starving myself. This is my first ever time bulking, and I'm really enjoying being able to eat at a higher volume without feeling a sense of guilt (something I've always strugled with).
I'm 5'10" tall and at about 164lbs. I hold most of my fat around my stomach, hips and pecs. I'm now eating at 3000 calories/day.
Any idea what my bodyfat % might be? Also, from your experience, should I continue bulking or should I cut?

15-16%. I'd keep bulking, but keep the weight gain slow. Aim for 2lbs/month.

Hey guys. In a couple weeks I got my waist down from 32 to 31 and wanted to see if you guys think my body fat percentage changed. I'm 17, 6'2", 31 inch waist, about 37 inch hips, 35 inch chest, and was originally estimated to be 18%. New pictures are in body space.
Also, while we're at it, which workout would you recommend for me from bodybuilding.com? I've been making my own but I'm almost certain I won't build muscle with whatever I'm doing.

Hey guys! It’s been a couple weeks since I started cutting. I’m at 140 lbs right now, down 4 lbs. My previous body fat estimate was around 17% (height: 5’8). Does it seem like I have lost any body fat? I’m also slowly fixing my posture via physical therapy so the newer pics should have a slightly better posture than the old ones.
Pics in mybodyspace titled appropriately. Also, should I continue cutting till I get rid of more fat, like say to 135?

Hi guys,
I’m back for you support.
I want to end my cutting but I’d like to know from you:
1- my body fat %
2- I want to slow bulk but I see that even eating a little bit more than the last months it seems I get only fat and really fast. Why that? Know I stop losing weight too so I don’t know how to procede.
Thanks as always

Thank you! I certainly feel as though I have more fat on me than that.
Any second opinions?

I'd say 17%BF and in need of muscle. Keep bulking, aka eat the same calories, increase workload when possible.

About 16%BF.
It is because you add more calories than you need OR account for. No matter which, try being sensible when bulking and increase by ≈300 and stick to that until you actually NEED to increase calories. 'Need' means "I can't lift this ****ton of weight even if my life depended on it unless I eat more food".

It's gone down a bit. I'd say 17%. I've never done any of the bb.com programs, so I can't recommend one based on experience. A number of people like Kris Gethin's.

I see a little difference. 135 sounds like a good stoppign point.

I'd say 15%. You could just be bulking too aggressively. It could also be that you're bloated from the additional calories/carbs, which can through you off when you first start bulking.

Thanks guys! Should I add 300 calories from now during cutting (300 more than 1600) or 300 calories more than my BMI (300 more than 1900)?
Thanks

Start from where you're at in terms of calories/macros, as it's a known reference point.
PM me if you have further questions, this thread needs to be kept cleaner^^

Quite lean (15%BF maybe) and in need of muscle, so it's time for a mass building phase. Use maintenance calories to begin with unless you're strong like the hulk:-)

I took these just when I woke up, didn't even shower or anything before these pics.
5'10, 105 KG, 19. My butt has always been big so just ignore it.
I'm hopeful and estimating like a 28%, but that's just me coping.

About 16% I would cut a bit, maybe 10lbs and then bulk again.

15-16% I would bulk a bit more before cutting, so you have more to cut down to.

Thanks for your time! I guess I should have asked for advice from you or others on how much more to cut. I have been in a deficit all of the last 6 months losing 30 lbs and 58 lbs altogether last year plus. I am trying to decide how much more to lose before maintaining the rest of the summer and then starting a bulk in the fall. At 50 yrs-old that lower waist fat is stubborn!

I'd give it another 5-10lbs. Lower waist fat is the worst.

About 13% I would stop cutting. Your posture looks off can make your stomach look larger than it is.
