I am in exactly this situation right now. Met a girl on vacation. Was drunk. Kissed her. Got her number -> whatsapp. I wrote her most of the time but i stopped writing her to see wether she would write first. She did a few times...When i write stuff with smileys she answers with smileys too...if i dont she does not write with smileys either. Forgot to say : she speaks the same language as me but lives in another country. I need some serious help. I basically can't even talk to girls. I haven't even had my first kiss yet at 16 and it really bugs me. Sounds like you're not cocky but actually insecure. Realize that girls are just like us, they eat, sleep, ****, worry, feel insecure, overthink, and all that bull****. You are putting girls on a pedestal and definitely overthinking the whole process. Get out more and just approach girls, casual conversation, and your confidence will develop. And by that time, I would give them a positive reinforcement or I just act like I don't care much since I don't wanna sound desperate and a wk, which I'm not. I'm not even really interested anyone right now, but I want to get with one just to prove to myself that I can still do it. I know that feel, unless you practice talking to chicks and stuff things will stay the same, I can confirm. I get a ton of compliments from guys and girls IRL on my physique but meanwhile can't get a girl if my life depended on it

I have been talking to this girl a LOT through text. Around 2-3 weeks. 100% of the time she usually responds to me within minutes, hours at max. Last night at 1030 i sent her a text and its 1030 morning now and she hasnt responded. She usually always responds super fast. I took her out on 3 dates. No, It's not a good idea. I went into college this year with a girlfriend and it ended on a very bad note. If she's insecure about herself, or your relationship, it will rip you two apart. There's not much sense in it if you ask me. I'm single now and have been for a few months. I mean after a while you start to miss just being able to have someone you caught feels for be with you. But you get over it. Then on to the next girl.

Which brings me to my dilemma. I really caught the feels bad for this one girl, but she told me she didn't want to date anyone (yet). We've had a lot of deep conversations about relationships and why not and blah blah blah. I asked her what happens if she does get feelings for anyone, and she told me it's not that it hasn't happened a bit already, but she wants to make sure that that person isn't just putting on face and once they start dating they will change. But I keep getting these vibes that she likes me. I always try to be super chivalrous and whatnot. Holding door open, compliments, etc. Just basically being a gentleman. Plus the other day she was stressed out, and when we talked, she said that I really helped, and that her friend (also a guy) who tried to help the day before just made her feel worse. If she liked you last year then she probably still likes you. Not necessarily the way she did before, but if you didn't do anything stupid to make her dislike you then there's no reason for her not to. Chances are that if you start talking to her the feels will return. You just gotta get over the mental block of not knowing what to say. Women like to talk, so just ask questions. But pay attention to what she's saying. Also, if you start talking about anything more than just shooting the sh*t then remember that stuff, women like that. Just do you and you'll be fine. If she doesn't like you, her loss. It'll be difficult but you gotta move on to the next one.

The most important thing I have learned is that girls like confidence. So if you are reasonably good looking and really confident, you can have any girl you want.

I've been shy my entire life, sadly. No idea what caused it; always had a huge amount of friends but I never had a real relationship that actually started by me confronting the girl I liked. They always had to take the first step.

Anyway. I like this girl and we talk sometimes, both irl and via texts. I've no idea how to initiate conversations via text though. Wouldn't I look like a creep constantly talking to her?
About a week ago we were eating in a fast food restaurant kind of thing and we were talking about relationships (there were 2 other friends there aswell) and she mentioned that she was sad because she never got a boyfriend. My brain started working as hard as it could, trying to decipher what she tried to say there. It was, to me, a hint that she was single and that she was interested. I may have misread the situation though.

Anyway.. How does one initiate conversation, what does one talk about, how does one confront a girl to ask her to go on a date and where does one take said girl on a date? I live in a rural area (town with ~5k inhabitants) so there is not a lot to do here; nearest cinema is around 10 miles away so we have to take the bus etc etc.
