I'm seriously sitting here with a smile on my face.
The motivation this thread gives is through the roof!
I'm 20 years old, been up and down between 230-240 ibs through the years.
Recently got out of the Airforce, started working out with the 5x5 stronglifts program for 12 weeks.
Didn't put on that much muscles i think, but i feel in better shape and i've been told that i look alot more fit.
I'm not sure what my weight is right now, gonna check in the morning (just bought a weight today).
I started my diet yesterday.
1500-1800 calories per day. Eggs, ham, Lean meats, veggies, proteinshakes are what my meals consist of mainly.
I keep checking in on this thread every day to get my motivation up, and it definately works!
If i reach my goal (160-170 ibs). Which i intend to do this time.
I will post up my transformation pics :)
This summer is hopefully gonna be the best of my life. I've never been able to go to the beach without feeling bad about myself.
Always been shy. This is about to change.

cardio is not needed in any way down the gym or treadmill, bike, cross trainer cetra xcetra.
clean diet. total dedication. plenty o sleep and between 45min to 1hr in the gym on a 3 4 or 5 day split.....
if i can drop 76 or so pound with totally ZERO exercise then anyone can.....
Ok so i went into keto but it is possible on a nice clean diet of low carbs high protien good fats....

Cardio may not be essential for fat loss, but strengthening your cardiovascular system is essential for good health and on-point fitness.

1500 is way too low. 1800 is better, but still low. Do you want to lose weight and muscle? Lose weight, build muscle, son.

First time posting. Its great to see how everyone has completly changed! I feel that I should share my own pictures, hopefully it will motivate aswell. Im swedish so please excuse any language faults.
My background is pretty stereotypical. I was always the fat kid in class, got chosen last in PE and such. Was depressed most of my younger years and once World of Warcraft hit the scene I became a recluse and my weight skyrocketed. Was pretty much like this untill I turned 19. Met a girl that showed interrest even though I was at a obese 326lbs at 6". After that relationship crashed and burned I decided to drop the weight, I was sick and tired of being big and short of breath from pretty much standing up.(Pic: Lych1)
At the start I didnt go to the gym. It took a couple of months to drop down to 292lbs thrue just eating less. It was at this time I first took a step into the gym.(Pic: Lych2). Had no bloody clue what I was doing but I kept at it, the worst was that I joined up in december '09 so I was treated like a new year fat guy for a long time into the new year.
Been a long ride since then and Im currently at 190 lbs. Writing down how I lost it all and what training schedule Ive been doing would take ages since its changed alot over the years. The most important thing is discipline and consistency.
Currently my goal is to compete in Classic Bodybuilding once my skin sorts out. Its a struggle to decide to cut, recomp or slow bulk in order to give it the best chance to taught up. If I bounce around abit the abs are very visable, sadly not when I stand around regularly.
Ill reply to any questions. In the meantime, go hard and reach your goals!

indeed but i was just pointing out that zero cardio is needed to cut ... diet is the key....
i would never advise to not do cardio i can only prove that it is something not needed if you can not be arsed....

This thread is a big inspiration for me. Great props to everyone.
I've been following both part1 + the part 2 thread for almost a year. But i didn't create a account until the 13th this month.
I started my cut this tuesday. Start weight was 286lbs in 2009 and now i'm at 191lbs. Hope to get down to around 170-75 ich lbs and then start bulking.
