Hi all,
I recently started taking bodybuilding seriously. I was about 86 Kg 3 months ago, and now I am around 71 Kg. My two month transformation pic. Have I lost much of muscle mas. Some of my friends say I look weak and skinny.

Hello everyone, I'm Tim & I'm 42yrs old. Recently (3-4 weeks ago) I started my quest for better health, fitness & overall happiness within myself & my life. I am currently following the direction of a friend whom is into bodybuilding across the pond in Ireland, this will be my introduction & progress post as time goes on. Though I have only been in it for 3-4 weeks, I look forward to seeing my own progress as time goes on. The 1st photo is maybe 3 weeks old & the second is me as of yesterday 11-14-2016. So on that, this is ME & I look forward to learning more from you folks in due time.

Don't consider cutting until you're fully grown.

I have been reading this forum for a while and constantly used this thread to get and stay motivated. I have been big as long as I can remember. Probably became obvious around age 8 or so. Last year I found myself at 350 pounds and about to turn 30 and decided I was finally going to make the change in my diet that my life needed. I had been introduced to powerlifting and dabbled in that for a year or 2, but never really took the food part seriously. I started monitoring calories/protein and doing a 5 day split. I am currently down to 268 and staying motivated to get down to 200.(I'm 5'10"). I have gone from size 44/46 pants to 38/40 and from 3xl shirts (sometimes bordering on needing 4xl) to xl shirts.

You look either taller than 5'10 or thinner than 350 and 270 respectively. Either way, unless you have or had higher muscle and less fat than I do, then your waist measurement isn't your ACTUAL waist.

Trust me, when I was 300 {{280 now, used to be 335}} my 'waist' came out to 46/48, but it was actually my hips. Your waist is actually around the bellybutton level.

So measure there, get some slightly bigger pants {{I wear 42's okay on my hips, but I can go 46's on my waist despite the actual measurement bein 52/54-ish}} and pull them up to where they're supposed to be.

I bet that leg chaffing you might have will go away instantly. Plus, it's actually made me feel miles better to wear my pants/shorts this way. More secure{emotionally}, more appropriate, more correct, AND more fasionable. Not to mention safer and less chance of plumber's crack, etc.

I wear my pants kinda between hips and belly button, but I don't have plumber's crack issues. I just tried pulling the size 40 jeans up to my belly button and had no issue buttoning them or sitting down with them pulled up. They are not stretchy whatsoever. Not a big fan of wearing my pants that high (especially since I have to tuck in my shirt at work. Looks nerdy imo) If I look taller, it may be that most of my height is torso with average length legs. I am definitely not 6'0" or taller. I have a pretty reliable scale as well and weigh daily.

I've been off the forum for a really long time since I have been extra dedicated to myself, I became absorbed and determined to loose more weight, I started from 198 pounds and now I'm here at 134.

Will keep cutting until I'm 124, and once I'm there, I'll see if I can get a lilttle bit leaner for my first real bulk.

This is my full progress, back from when I started right to just last week.

I know this is not an introduction since I posted my pictures months ago, but maybe it can encourage some people, if you are overweight like I was, and just starting to work on your body... don't worry, you can do it!.

Oh. Okay then. Guess you just store fat differently and have a lower percentage of it to boot. Oh well.

Still on the journey. So far have gone from 378 pounds down to 235 pounds (143 pounds lost). I still have a long way to go but hanging in there.

Hey guys, my name's Matt, and I used to be a fat kid ;) I've been into working out since I was 14, but it's only been over the last few years or so that I've really got my diet on track. At my heaviest, I was 200 pounds. I'm now under 150 pounds. It took quite a while...mostly because it was an ongoing struggle to really get my diet right and keep it that way. Well worth the effort though. I'm currently finishing up a 60 day challenge to go from 16% to 12% body fat. I've got two weeks to go, and it's looking like I'm going to hit it.

Hi All, I started at 146kg 3 months in I'm 114, changed my eating and lifestyle around only whole natural foods that I can grow or raise, nothing packaged and some intermittent fasting. Water only, walking my dogs for an hour every day & working out with bricks and one dumbbell in my backyard. 2 months left to reach the 50kg loss mark and hoping to find myself in the gym soon. I also have been about 4 months no cigarettes (was a social smoker) and have only had a drink about 3 times that were special occasions, my phone also happened to break around the same time and decided to really seclude myself and go "offgrid" and do my own thing. Reconnected with nature, my garden and other natural pursuits like hiking. All in all, I'm happy, refreshed and I can truly say every single day, I'm a better person than last.

In on thread. Currently 265 at 6'6. Was skinny-fat for a long time, spent about a year bulking up and now have some gains but also have a slight gut. Starting on a cut in the next couple weeks, the goal is to get down to about 230ish in about 6 months. I have lost 147 lbs through diet and exercise, but just started weight training with a personal trainer last August. I have to say that in the last 5 months, I have gotten addicted to the lifestyle! I started at over 225, and have lost 80lbs, primarily through changing how I eat. I have become a gym junkie over the last year and a half or so - with an addiction to lifting.

I am up 10lbs after a move to a new city and struggling to find new routine/gym where I am comfortable, and I am currently laid up after abdominoplasty with massive muscle repair..but I still have a ways to go. I don't have a weight goal, but rather a strength goal (which constantly changes with new PB's)

I am extremely proud of how far I have come.

This transformation was from 8 months ago.
I was stupid and dreamer bulked, my bodyfat percentage was probably around 25-30%. Took me around 4/5 months to lose all the fat. :(
I looked like a twig after the cut, but I at least got rid of my belly. :D

Good job! You were at about the same starting point I was 3 1/2 month ago (27%BF). I'm down to 18% now and aiming for 12% in another couple of months.

My 4 months transformation

Hey, everyone! I'm new to Bodybuilding.com and decided to create an account after accomplishing a feat that I never would have imagined to be possible: I am no longer considered obese, and I am progressing towards reaching a healthy weight for what may be the first time in my life! I grew up poor in West Philadelphia and Chester, PA while being raised by a single mother, so healthy eating wasn't something that was stressed (or even affordable). Fast forward to January 14, 2016, and I reached the highest weight of my life: 300.4 lbs. At that point, I decided it was time to change my life.

I created a thread a few days ago, but I thought I would re-post the photo in this sticky. At 21 years old, I am in the best shape of my life (although still not optimal). At last check, I am 217.4 lbs, which is an 83 pound cut from my highest weight! My ultimate goal is to reach 180 pounds, as well as to build muscle.

Hi Guys, first post on the board after lurking around a lot. This thread sure is one hell of a motivational place!
After years of destroying my own body, i knew something had to be done. I used to be a chubby kid until i was about 15 years old, then got real skinny and tall in one summer. Gained little by little weight back for 8 years straight until 6 weeks ago i was at 183 lbs. Started having a really great and healthy cutting diet, documenting properly, started lifting easy weights to get to know the routine. By now i can really push my body hard within correct form, amazing to see and feel (step by step) progress!
Currently at 172lbs, guess i will need to cut down to 160 or when fat loss goal is reached before bulking up steady. In for the long haul!

Hey guys, i'm uploading one pic of me in 2013 at 180 lbs and of my currently 2 month progress pics.Long story short I stopped working out the past year and have been gaining fat slowly but surely, i'm getting back into it now and want to be as cut as i once was . My weight for 17 Dec 2016 was 200 lbs at 6'1 and i am currently now 200 lbs but more cut. I was wondering if you could give me an estimate BF percentage in my 2013 photo and my before and after current transformation as i'm trying to get back to being as cut as i was in 2013 but with a little more mass in my chest.Thanks.

Hi there. Name is J.P., and I've lost 234 lbs. Before is 518lbs, after is today at 284.

Goal is to get to 218 lbs(I want to hit 300 lost) and then bulk up with muscle. May need skin removal surgery but it's all worth it.
