im new here...dont be harsh on me :P
Well I've been lurking on here forever getting some of the best information you guys have to offer and here is my chance to say thank you! This is right about 7 months in. Keep in mind, I have chronic Epicondylitis (golfers and tennis elbow) in my right elbow, I suffered a LCL sprain and torn meniscus in my left knee about 6 months ago, had a disc issue in my neck a few years back and still have something wrong with my left shoulder that I'm not sure what it is lol It's been a slow process but not trying to injure myself further. I'm thrilled with where I'm at for 7 months! Any criticism or suggestions I will take in stride :) Thanks again guys! getting the body I have always wanted because of you! P.S. I'm almost 35

Hey, first time posting on board. After putting on a heap of weight while doing the desk job I was looking back on a couple of photos I had with my family during September 2012 & knew I had to make a lifestyle change.
Any way, March 7th 2013 I signed up to a gym at 120kg (265lbs), I'm 23 & 6'1" and I enjoy going to the gym now. Currently I'm at 85kg and don't want to go too much lower in weight, I mainly just want to get rid of the rest of the cut & just tone up a bit.
Didn't have any pictures of shirt off before starting & I only have a ****ty selfies that I just took on my phone but still better then nothing.
(can't embed photos because of post count).
Left photo was 3 months in after I had lost around 8 kilos (17 pounds). Right photo is 4 months later (where I am now) with a total of 17 kilos (37 pounds lost). Bodyfat from 21% to now 9% in 7 months. I could have made faster progress had I had diet more in check the first few months. I have a ways to go, but my chest seems like its finally starting to grow, stomach is starting to get ripped (my abs dont seem to get bigger no matter how hard I work them though. Maybe need some weighted ab excercises in lower rep range?), and my shoulders are coming in. I am still on a cut, but as its my first year lifting I am definitely still putting on muscle despite the fact that Im in a pretty big choleric deficit and eating low carb. I want to get my bodyfat down to around 7% and then do a slow clean bulk to put on around 3 or 4 kilos of muscle, and hopefully keep the stomach a bit in the process (yeah, Im going for the skinny ripped look). Will try to start that next month.
Long way to go, but Im getting there.

Outstanding work. I'm going for a similar look with similar nutrition. Your pics verify the plan is working. Congrats and thanks for posting.
Thanks bro, In the process of bulking now, have been at it for 3 weeks... Leangains style...
Leangains is a solid way to go and its mouthpiece (Martin) is an impressive specimen. Rock on!

You lost almost 26% of your former self. How did you do it? Great job!
Heres an update of my transformation, I also got a little bored and tryed to combine the images a bit.

Good job, Robert. Are you where you want to be, or are you shooting for a lower BF%?
337 to 276 over a year span. Old football weight getting out of control. Decided to fix it finally. 310-276 just this year alone.
Does anyone know anything regarding gynomastia (I think I have it - I also really freaking hate my side tits). Also, stretch marks, how to I go about dealing with it?
Keep on leaning out. Try leangains. When your bodyfat gets down to below 15% then reassess. The side tits should be a distant memory, and maybe you'll find that you don't really have bitch tits. If you do, then they may have to be surgically removed if they really bother you.
Keep training heavy enough too so as to retain muscle mass. Check out the leangains website for inspiration and amusement too.
Peace

Nice posing. I like the attitude.
First 12 week program started in May this year, ended on July 29th. On phase two now. First time daddy life took me on a wild ride all the way to 300lbs from 230's during the first three years. Last year decided it was time to eat clean for my daughter.. Went from 300-240's then back to the weight this May.
Wait how do I embed pics using the mobile?
Wow great results

I think improving our habits for our kids is one of the best reasons to do so. It's a great way to teach/lead by example. My three teenagers are better people for my efforts at keeping myself fit. My habits have rubbed off on my wife as well.
Good stuff.

Hey guys! I just did my first cut, but I can't show my progress pics due to lack of posts. Can someone check my profile and give a guesstimate on my current bodyfat? I'd greatly appreciate any feed back, thanks!

Very nice man! Great job.
Great job bud!
8 months in and declaring my cut/transformation officially over. 17 kilos (37 pounds) lost, bodyfat from 21% to now 8.7%. These pics were taken exactly 6 months apart (left pic I was 3 months in and had already lost around 6 kilos. right pic was taken yesterday). I could have progressed faster had I took diet more seriously from the very beginning. Quite happy with the definition, but now Im ready for a very slow very clean bulk. Want to put on around 4 or 5 kilos (around 8 to 10 pounds) solid muscle and keep the BF% low (dont want to lose the stomach definition I worked so hard for), then its maintenance mode for me from there on out. Very proud of myself for getting diet right and not letting the rotator cuff injury a few months ago get the best of me. Very happy, but want a bit more chest size, thicker abs, and a little more biceps.
Feels good!

Nice work - Well done!
You're about the same height, weight and BF % as me but you look way more muscular!
Thanks peterpss :-)
That could be for quite a number of reasons I suppose, like muscle mass%, how you lost weight (how much cardio vs how much weight training), genetics (Ive always been a pretty skinny dude, but fat goes straight to my face and midsection), how you trained in the gym, photo lighting, ect. I just had a look at your profile, and your looking great man.
Lets keep going!
