Here's my before and after. I'm 17 and 6 months ago I weighed 217 of pretty much all fat. I worked down to 163. Not sure if I should keep going or not. Does someone want to give me a rough BF%?

I honestly haven't gotten serious about counting macros during the general transformation(June-September, check my profile).
Ever since I've started I exchange weeks of a caloric surplus and caloric deficit. I don't consider myself 'bulking' or 'cutting' unless
I'd be following a steady caloric intake for a long period of time.
I just lift, try to stay reasonably around (now a days under) maintenance and I take it anywhere from
160g-200g protein
150-230g carbs
50-80g fats
and I make tonnes of gains.
But I digress. I didn't even know what bulking or cutting was at the time.
I just lift, eat right and worry about my body composition and strength.

I'm actually looking to just keep this cut look. I'm pretty content with where I'm at.

First off, great work!! Second, it is time to bulk. It looks like you are right where you want to be to start adding muscle. My guess would be 10% body fat.

Could I get my abs to shine through better without bulking? I don't have a problem gaining muscle but I don't want to bulk and then cut.
Hey guys. Been living healthily since December 2011 when I weighed over 400 pounds. I had a 50 inch waist, and barely fit into 3xl shirts.
It wore me out just standing around fixing computers all day and then I realized it was time to live like I want to enjoy life. So I made some
serious changes in my life. I watched fat sick and nearly dead and decided to jump start my good health with a week long juice fast
in January 2012. I also completed the couch to 5k running program while running barefoot in a buddy's field. Since then I have now run 10k
with a time of 49 minutes. My waist now measure 43 inches and I wear xl tshirts. Here is the progress so far that I have achieved by eating good whole foods,
cutting down on liquid calories, and exercising at least five days a week.

of course dude.
as your aware the more muscle you have the more calories you burn in a day... so retrospectively as long as you consume your macros per day for muscle growth then the fat will dissolve round them already nice defined abs and be beasts.. cardio aint needed mate n remember.. abs are built in the kitchen.
my bad also... wtf was i thinking when i estimated your bf% @ 11-12.5 your about 10.5- 11% tops. and looking clean...
Have a look at this mate. its amazing and sounds like something i will do this year sometime after my current experiment.
google LEANGAINS looks wicked...
Also mate understand that once the muscle plateau is hit with your body composition. e,g endomorph, ectomorph or mesomorph bulking is needed to gain...
Bulking is part of the muscle building process and the more you clean bulk and clean cut the more muscle you get the little bit easier the cut gets is every time...
i know i sound like i sometimes talk the talk well just for interest lads (i also walk the walk) ;-)
Thanks for the motivation after looking at all these awesome pictures of people bettering themselves and becoming more healthy. Will post my pics later after work!
Before is in october of 2011 at 221 pounds and the after picture was today at 178.5.

I've been following this thread for a long time and it has always given me motivation. Unfortunately It has taken me a long time to get my shiz together but I'm on a journey now and I'm not stopping until I'm dead. I'm trying to lose the weight before I go to MIT in the next year or two and my goal weight is 160-170 lbs. These pictures are pretty spread out in time but the weight difference is the same.
In the first picture I'm at around 282 lbs. The second I'm at 260 lbs, in which I'm celebrating 20 lbs lost with new clothes.
If anyone can give me an idea on how to embed photos that'd be great! Thanks for the motivation guys!!
So I gotta post 50 times before I can add a pic?? Why can others post already

If you add the picture in as an attachment, we can look at it. But posting as an [IMG], you cannot until 50 posts.
Here is an update
first picture is january 9th, 2013(174lbs)
second is feb 12th, 2013 (168lbs)
Subbed
So many great prog pics in here!
I first weighed in at about 220lbs fat then dieted down to 170 by restricting my calories to under 1000 a day (such a bad idea if i could do it all again i would do it alot slower)
First picture is when i first started lifting at 169lbs and the second is at 200lbs. Time frame is about 20 months.
