He did write a essay though, explaining why he wanted to be more fit, and what encouraged him. Very inspirational!
mirin hard brah
wow, i've literally (and i do mean literally) never seen a thread so motivating than this one.
i will be starting my journey today as I have 7 months or so before I go to Europe, and i want to look AMAZING.
i am 6'0 175 lbs, probably ~20-25% bf, skinny fat and a mini spare tire around my hips. Do you guys think that 7months is enough to slim down to 10%bf and get rid of the spare tire?
i figure, as a newbie, i can add about 15lbs of muscle and lose quite a bit of fat. this thread has shown me just how possible it all is.
thanks guys

I actually don't carry too much fat on my stomach it's all located on my sides and lower back. And it's definitely still there. Not as much as it used to be but I assume it's going to be the last to disappear.
Time period is about 20 Weeks. 60+LBS of fat gone, and solid muscle gains. Most of it was lost during Kris Gethin's 12 week Trainer. Ive been bulking with his DTP Trainer for about 6 weeks. Today Im starting his 12 week program all over again. Day 1. I will have abs by week 12. From there, I will continue to bulk and shred, and compete within the next 2 years. Right now I stand at 5'9, weigh in at about 190. I started at about 260 Lbs. Ill keep you guys updated with a progress picture about every 2-4 weeks. Thanks for your support! If anyone has any questions, feel free to inbox me here, or email me. Jesse.M.Lehman@gmail.com. Thanks!
Slowly but surely getting there, right?
15.5 stone in 2011, Dropped to just over 11 stone in Summer 2012, I had no idea what I was doing and ended up skinny. Now slowly building myself back up again. Up to 12.5 stone, with my fair share of fat.
Do I bulk or cut though now guys?
Thanks

Balls in your court on that one... Depending on your overall approach to diet and training and the aesthetics your goal is to accomplish. You choose bud. The easy road or the hard road ;-)

Nice cut (and tattoo)
Im totally in the dumps. I havent lost a single ounce or BF% since APR 4th. I switched things up and nothing. Progress has been so slow for me I mean incredibly so. I put in alot of time to this and I am not getting significant returns on a weekly basis. Since Oct 12th Ive only lost 45lbs. Im so fatigued by this fact mentally. I work so hard and eat so clean Im sincerely lost.

The body aint as dumb as we think buddy... It adapts, and once it does you need to (SHOCK) it into results.
You need to be resourceful and either slightly adjust your diet or change things round in the weight room to trick the body into forcing new results.
Oh how i love that clever human anatomy.
Good luck mate.... Keep going
Woot we need more females on here! I'm hoping to make so e progress to show as well :-)
QUOTE=Mcfattyfatfat;804420241]Just want to say CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who has had not only a transformation, buit the balls to post their pics! Hopefully within the next few months I will have my own pics on here reppin for the females! You are all very inspiring, and helpful in your feedback with tips and positive motivation. I have already read most of the old forum and usually fo it before heading to the gym to make sure I hit those weights extra hard! Once again Congratulations and Thank You!
Top 4 pictures explained:
The first three I was deployed and those were 3 of my monthly progress pics. First is 182lbs, Second is 185lbs, Third is 189lbs..... The fourth picture is almost 6 years later, I had gone through cancer, divorce, alcohol addiction, multiple losses in the family, and depression obviously.
Everyone has their story or failure and triumph. I'm not big on long stories so the point of mine is simply don't let life get the best of you. That 4th picture I weighed 230lbs. There are many that have gained and lost a lot more weight than I have so I'm not trying to steal anyone's thunder.
I just hope that when life is hitting you hard and it seems at every turn something bad is coming your way, keep your head up and keep on pushing. I finally lifted my head up, turned my life around, and the pain and sweat of working out helped me realize if I can change my body I can
probably change other things in my life as well.
Today I am the guy in the last picture and will keep on pushing physically and mentally at whatever obstacle life has in store for me next.
Congratulations and much props to all those in this thread that have shared their amazing accomplishments with their health and fitness goals that were once just dreams.

Thank you! I am much happier. Being fat was hard.
And I am still in that stage when where if I see someone looking at me, I either think I have something on my shirt or something. That or if they are OBVIOUSLY mirin, I want to hug them and thank them, lol.

Good job, man. Inspirational particularly because we share a similar body type which I don't often come by: lean limbs with wide hips storing most of the fat in the lower abs and hips.

Seriously congratulations on both the body and on over coming the problems ! Inspirational !
Just a quick update on how I'm getting on ! I started going to the gym winter 2012, well I say I went to the gym, I skipped a lot, but didn't change my diet (being at Uni : lots of beers / crisps / macdonalds / etc....). In April I moved back home (finished Uni) and started focusing on my diet more : weighing shizzle, working out 4 times a week and doing cardio on the off days ! My brother who has also been overweight for a while has been doing it with me ! So it helps working out with someone ! Also this thread motivates like mad, so many amazing changes....
Anyway here are a few pictures (I know I still have a long way to go !).
First 2 : Day 1
3rd : 7th April
5,6,7 : Today
N.B : If anyone could estimate my bf% it would be greatly appreciated ! :)
