for those cutting, I can't stress to you enough the importance of a consistent weight training program and adequate protein. I'm currently cutting and realized I'm losing way more muscle mass than I should be

Nothing changes........ You Still eat clean on a bulk just more of the foods you ate on a cut.... You can still do cardio .... It aint a drag mate its a routine, a hobby, a gift, a passion, a privilege......
Enjoy it and reap the rewards. Moan about it and failure will be round the corner like a grim reaper waiting for you.
Good work - what are you doing over the past two months? whats your diet/workout scheme?
Pretty simple. I stay around 1800-2000 calories a day. I haven't started training yet. I have a very physically demanding job. I run a crew installing solar panels for a living. My biggest difference is the calorie intake. I switched from Pepsi to diet Dr. Pepper and now switching to only water. So far I'm down 30 lbs from 213 to 183.

Hardly agree with this. I take 290g of protein (80g from shakes and 210g from chicken breast or fish) daily and 10-10g of BCAA and l-glutamine during my trainings. Till now I lost 8kg in 7 weeks, that's almost ideal I think. My energy level almost the same, I only had to squat 85kg instead of 90kg.

buddy. way to go if it works for you but also your intake of protein is kinda high and your (possibly) not saying definitely, wasting valuable calories on something your body is making zero use of.. since you are showing you weigh in at 202lb why bother with that extra 90g ??? if for that matter you are 202lb of lean bodyweight....!
You show your also at 22% bodyfat so minis that from weight and your lean mass is around 157 pound in weight.
So thats 157 grams of protein needed and no more... so you are consuming
133g of protein x 4 calories = 532 WASTED calories every day.....
Thats a hell of a lot of free unable to use / wasted energy consumption.
Give your liver a break and eat something else.... Your body is capable of breaking own only so much of the stuff any way....
But by be by... if it works for you then sure go ahead.... But it is surely a waste of good money on unnecessary nutrition.....
1 - 1.2g per lean poundage of bodyweight is enough for ANYONE..... From anywhere....
Not dissing you here i am only stating correct facts buddy.... But please correct me if i am wrong.....

Actually my infos on my page are out of date...I had no time to refresh.
My weight currently is 187lb around 14-15% bodyfat, but correct me after you check my picture below. I started my diet 7 weeks ago and till now I lost around 18lb, and I didn't became weaker.
I know, that I take too much proteins as the theory says...but I have a lifetime natural bodybuilder friend who do this for 16 years and that was his first advice for me that keep the protein above 3g x bodyweight (in kilos, regarding I'm from europe). That's the rule I follow and it really works, this is how I look like now:
I think around 165lb I'll satisfied with my bodyfat (I'm 175cm tall).

I started 2011, maintained 2012 and now cutting this year again.
First post of 6 month progress (two rounds of insanity before I got my head right and hit the weights 2 months ago). Started around 205 and currently around 195 at 6'1". Also curious to get ideas of what body fat % ya'll think I'm at right now. I have no idea.
Here is where I'm at so far. Let me know what you think! Changed my diet in December 2012 and now working out 6 days a week. I'm liking what I see so far.

This guys 12 week transformation!!!
I've been going through the threads on here and keep coming back to this one. It's almost summer time and I'm upset that I'm not "beach body" ready. This and having my beat friends being cut, has made me want to get healthier both physically and mentally. With disease that comes from being overweight knocking on my door, I need to not only lose some but keep it off. I'm about 6'1" and 200lbs. In my junior year of high school I hit the weights pretty hard for a few months and jumped from 180 to 200 and have stayed that way for the past three years. I'm not overweight but the ladies aren't exactly doing double takes at me. I'll have starting pictures up soon but I'm still not 100% motivated to stay consistent. Any help would be nice.

Is this real life!!
Man this is THE BEST few months transformation I have seen .
do you know hos diet and routine?
My weight has been up and down all my life, about 5 years ago i started an office job moving from a manual labour job so my weight started to increase. All my life I have always been quite fat, i was a really fat kid and teenager.
After lurking around here for some time i decided to do something about it. Back in October/November (205 pounds) I started to watch what i was eating trying to cut out the crap and not shoveling food/sweets down my throat for the sake of it. I have had a few goes at getting in shape over the years but until i started reading up the info on here I never had any real results and just quit.
I have cleaned up my diet considerably and now try and eat clean and count calories (loads of room for improvement but things are working)
Back end of February I purchased myself an Olympic bar and weights and decided to follow a routine on here. I have a busy work schedule and have quite a busy social life on weekends so do not train as much as I would like, also my social weekend consists of 1 night of heavy drinking (I have cut back a lot but just seems to be a never ending supply of weddings/stag parties and Birthday parties recently (not making excuses just giving an accurate description of what goes on))
I'm currently about 169 pounds 5ft 8"
Anyway here are some pics
Any rough idea on BF%?

Finally decided at 37 to do something regarding the apperance of my body, Not as inspirational as some of the people on here, (started around 160lbs down to around 143lbs). Never been massively overweight (more of a skinny fat)
What does everyone think shed a few more pounds then a long slow 12 month clean bulk?
