Great job in taking the first step. I did the lose weight and gain it back game. I finally made a lifestyle change and have kept the fat off for two years. It s a daily and lifetime commitment. I was around the same size as you and I stay in the 10 to 12 percent body fat range. It can be done. Good luck.
Greetings All
Just here like most of us to share the details of a recent change in direction 6 months ago.
Beginning of April this year 2013 I weighed in at 185 pounds which aint great when your only 5ft 7inch and bugs dick in height.
After years of abusing my body with poor diets and no exercise I decided to take action, lose the fat and begin to build a little muscle, ya know the whole aesthetic and feel good in yourself kinda thing.
For the next 4 months I decided to cut the weight following the da da daaaa dreaded Ketosis Diet whilst simply walking everyday for 30mins to an hour on an empty stomach and carrying out a daily 45 min workout using mainly calisthenics and exercises using a pair of 20lb dumbells.
Due to a back condition I wasn’t in a position to start hitting the gym and lifting heavy weights so I took the option of workout out at home with simply a pair of dumbells and my body resistance.
At the end of the cut in 4 months I got down from 185 pounds to 141 pounds then introduced carbs back into my diet and aimed to do a little bulking, at 141 pounds I have my work cut out for me but hey we can only do what we can.
I took my series of exercises and split them into 3 little sessions throughout the day, particulary in the morning, before bed and once in between, each session lasted around a mere 20 mins of a full body workout, this within effect was to keep my muscles under tension ‘throughout‘ the course of the day rather than going to failure, thus giving them no option but to adapt and grow.
Safe to say it seems its working for me, in the last 2 months I have gained 12 pounds ( of course waterweight/ Glycogen and muscle from hitting the carbs) up from 141 pounds to 153 pounds, certainly seeing muscle growth & definition due to not really building any muscle over the 4 months of cutting fat as I was on zero carbs.
Here was my approach simplified --
Month 1- Month 4 CUT (Keto Diet 2200 cal) 44 pound loss - daily Bodyweight exercises
(30-40 mins) - 1 hours walk each day
Month 4 - Month 6 - BULKING (50c/40p/10f 2900 cal) Up 12 Pounds - 3 x 20mins Mini full body workouts throughout the day - 1hour walk.
Thanks for reading, keep up the great works guys, respect to you all, im sure you are all inspiring someone around the word.
Any question regarding my workout or anything else please don’t hesitate to ask
Best wishes!
I cannot post photos because my counter is set to 0. That sucks

Great work mate!!
Ok so this is my first post ever in the forum but I just wanted to share. I did the 12 week, Max's Muscle-Up Challenge this year dropping 17kg in the process. The before picture here isn't the start of my journey either. Since January 1, 2012 until now I have gone from 135kg all the way down to 79kg last month and have now found balance at 83kg. A loss of over 50kg in total.
wow nice work my man. keep it up

Awesome
Job bro!
i went from 255 2 189
Hi,
I'm new to all this. I just started walking several miles a day (6+) in spring/summer 2012 because I didn't feel like spending $130+ on a transit pass, haha. Then I decided to join a gym, luckily it was down the block, five minutes away! Went from 281 to 203 in 3 months.
I still have a long way to go, a big novice, haha. I want to try bulking for the first time ever, because I feel like I stagnated. Plus I was afraid of getting big again, I want the lean look. But i'm optimistic. I've never done dead-lifts / chest-flies etc.. or used free weights, dumbells or barbells, so hopefully if I switch off of machines to free weights for the bulking I'll see some results.
Any advice greatly appreciated...

Really? You look like you've lifted a lot. How did you get that muscle frame without lifting?
Excellent transformation, anyway! Congrats!
