[QUOTE=thejman1002;969059253]Ok so another update from me, first want to say everyone is doing awesome, you guys pump me up all the time, and make me never want to quit. So my update I start at 350 and I weighed in earlier this week at 249 so that's more than 100lbs lost!!! I feel great but I have 49lbs to go. 200lbs is my goal weight, once I get there I can start cutting and trying to get rid of my loose skin by gaining more muscle. I'll post before and current pics. After pics will come soon enough, Thanks everybody. Would love feedback...

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING..
keep the hard work man!
very very good results..
Moved to the US March 2011 due to work. Paid no attention to diet an exercise and ate out every day on business lunches dinners etc. I was brought up to clean my plate as a kid, something I continued to do when I moved to the states, bad idea with the huge portion sizes over here. Long story short I ballooned to a massive 280lbs. Then in Aug of 2011 I started to look at my diet joined the gym and hit cardio until Feb 2012 when I started lifting at the gym. Took up running at the start of 2012 and have ran 3 half marathons this year breaking PRs each time, current PR 1hr 37mins. Just finished Kris Gethin 12 week transformation with some good results. Having a week off then starting BB.com 12 week bulk program and then repeat Kris Gethin again in 2013. Love working out, running and managing my nutrition now a days. It's a learning curve and patience persistence is the key to results. Great motivation on this thread and loads of advice on BB.com.
Thanks for reading - Peace out
Having issues getting through all the varying info on diet. I'm having a terrible time keeping the food under control. Looking to drop fat as a priority to big gains in muscle. That being said I don't want to be a twig if I can get the weight off. Any solid info on food is appreciated!

Day 100 - 76kg
Should I continue cutting or start a super clean bulk for 5-6 months?

just WOW!
we have the same height, and i think after my cut, i'm going to look like your after pic. i started at around 270lbs myself, back in january this year. it really does look like i've been following your path, and i hope to look like you do, in March 2013!!!
btw, what was your ending weight in that pic? personally, my goal as of now is to cut until i reach 190lbs, at which point... i'll reevaluate whether i need to continue cutting, or if i should bulk.
also, did you count calories? the fact that you ran 3 marathons (awesome job btw), i am sure you did a lot of running, and kept a relatively high deficit in calories...did you find that your weight loss was linear? or did you plateau a few times?
really glad i saw your progress!!! definitely has motivated me...

Thanks Strong_1rd My current weight in the after pic is 202lbs. I went from 280lbs down to 225lb between Aug 2011 and March 2012. Then plateaued over this summer then did Kris Gethin 12 week and that kicked the weight lost back into over drive to get me down to where I am now. I've really paid attention to my diet in recent months, eating very clean and I didn't drink any alcohol during the 12 week program. Only counted calaries to setup my plan for the 12 week program and just reduced carbs by quarter cups per meal when progress slowed down. My advice on plateaus would be 1, evaluate what you are eating for a week and your probably see where your going wrong or just mix it up a bit in the gym, rep range and excerise changes are go ways to break through. Good luck, I look out for your pics in the new year!

thanks buddy. i'm currently around 215lbs. (just started taking creatine again, so went up a little). i don't think i'm going to be as lean as you, at 202lbs. for me, i'm definitely going to have to lose at least 25 more lbs, and get to 190...and then i think i might look like ur after pic.
will definitely be posting pics before/after once i'm done, or maybe at least in january, it will be exactly 1 year since then.

Thanks so much guys! It has been fun to say the least! I absolutely enjoy moving my body, and now its more of who i am and what i'm known for by my peers, which 5 years ago no onewould have ever guessed! Lifestyle change for sure! I can't wait to hit 199 for the first time since like middle school (i know i said 200, but i want to see 199 at least once!) and my bodyfat to compliment it. it will be satisfying!
impressing, keep up the good work!

Wow man, amazing! How many years? I wish i'll get as huge as you someday! :P
From 285 to 170 in 3 years
I have some excess skin on my abdomen and i will someday get a abdominoplasty. Right now i want to gain 10 lbs of lean muscle. But im afraid of my metabolism and tendency to gain fat rapidly.. So im lifting heavy now, hiit cardio and whey protein plus creatine mono.
Started cutting at around 315, got the balls to take a picture around 285, now im currently at 225!
edit: anyone got any tips for that dam extra skin issue? lmao

I hear you buddy!... It bothers the hell out of me... I think if i remove it i will look so much better...
I am planning to do a abdominoplasty sometime in the next 2 years. But i hear there is a laser tightening procedure..called titan laser i think.. I will look into that first because there is no scar with that. Wish you the best!

Got any idea of a rough estimate for something like those?

Depends... On where you live, the type od procedure...the amount of work to be done... But I think around 5-8k to be done right...so do like me and start saving up jejeje. The laser procedure.. Is by sessions...couple hundred a session I guess.. And you see results in 6-10 sessions... Its cheaper.. But not everyone qualifies...and the results vary from person to person...

Hell yeah! I started at 40.
Go old guys!
....and to everyone else, keep up the good work. This has got to be one of the most inspirational threads on the web. Keep it up.
Went from 205 to 180 in a few months of a slow diet. Didn't want to lose muscle mass. Now I am going to maintain till February 2013 then cut.
I'm in progress, but this is my face (I don't have any good body shots yet) showing me at exactly 100 lbs. lost, from 350 lbs. to 250 lbs. Still going strong!

A few tips that I used to avoid getting loose skin (lost 50 pounds):
- Lose weight at a moderate pace (1lbs per week max)
- Scrub the stomach area with a luffa everytime you shower
- Eat a healthy and nutrition diet so your body has all the tools it needs to maintain skin health
- Apply quality moisturizer in loose skin area daily (organic if possible with vitamin E and all the other vitamins that work). If $ is an issue, olive oil works miracles.

I heard people talk about putting prep H on lose skin, but about the quality moisturizer any brand u would promote?

Cocoa butter seems to be recommended by most. Loose skin can take some time to tighten up , anything from nearly instantly to a year - year and a half depending on age , genetics , and how long it's been stretched. Unless its an extreme amount of loose skin , then surgery is most likely the only way. abdominal plastic if a full one aint without risks , infections , skin necrosis etc. So I would see it as a last resort after waiting for a year to see if it tightens.
Before and after 10 week holiday diet, and pretty happy with the change to be honest :)
Just another picture from the 10 week diet.

Oh yeah I would love to too but when your stomach shrunk so much from such a big way it's so hard to fit that much food in that little tiny stomach :o
