Crazy man! Doesn't even look like the same guy. Awesome work
Here's my progress so far. I have a ways to go, but reaching the 50 lb mark feels awesome! The first is me at 228. The second is me today at 178!
Warning: the first picture is slightly scary haha!
Also, I really wish I could just put the images in but I need 50 posts to do so... So you're all stuck with attachments for now if you want to look :(
Anyone looking for a motivation buddy please add me! I am really pulling to make these last strides and reach my initial goals, and I'd love to help someone else achieve his/her goals!
[QUOTE=Adampff;1157466953]Here's an update. Almost to 170 lbs! It's exciting literally seeing daily progress in the mirror. :)
Although as you can see by the last 3 pictures my weight-loss has slowed substantially; nevertheless I am moving forward and not looking back!
Cheers!:)

The scale isn't moving, but you're at the leanness were every pound makes a visible difference.
I also have the problem with the scale not moving. I have been stuck at 190 on this cut for almost 3 weeks now... but I feel like I am visually looking leaner and leaner every day.

thanx man, its been a long road but so worth it. just stick with it and take it one day at a time.

Sorry mate, but "visually" doesn't mean anything. That is our mind playing tricks on us. We are working to look good, so our mind tells us that we are looking better. Call it wishful thinking if you like.
It's the scale and measurements that give a correct view of our progress. So if you are still stuck, try decreasing a few grams of carbs from every meal for a week, and see how it goes.
I am by no means "fit", but I think I have lost enough to warrant finally posting in here.
I have lost 25 kilos roughly in the past six months.
Six months ago I started eating clean...have only had water/protein shakes to drink since then and have been eating generally really healthy.
Three months ago I started going to the gym and lifting.
Here's the progress as of today.
Beware the picture is fairly gross.
I am 6ft2 and weigh 103 kilos at the moment, I know i have a lot to go!

Good job man, keep it up! You can do this don't worry.
Thank you so much for this thread! I managed to lose 110 lbs (308 -> 198) mainly because of this INPIRATIONAL thread! Finally I can share my pictures, too! :) :) :)

Wow... That is possibly the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Do you know what lean body mass is? Or body composition?

You're exactly right! It's hard to see in the last two pictures but I can tell day by day fat is disappearing. It is only a matter of time until I reach my goal. Hopefully no more than 2-3 weeks.

impressive in 90 days!!
Hey,
I'm a long time lurker and reader on this site, so excuse my low post count. I'm very skinny in the sense I'm not muscular but years of piss poor diet and lifestyle I accumulated a crap load of fat, mostly covering my belly, little moobs and a fat chubby face with a double chin. These past few months I've really gotten a boost in motivation to transform myself and my life.
I barely have weight trained in my life, I'm 25, been on-off at the gym, not training right, not taking it serious.
I'm 6ft. I was about 200LBS at my worst point (28.5% BF!). The before pics are from then. 6ft @ 200 doesn't sound bad, but I have zero muscular build so it was literally all fat.
I've been hitting the gym and cardio regularly. In about 4 months I've gotten down to 168LBS.
I don't think I'm done yet, since I still have a gut and a double chin and leftover moobs. I think I need to slim down more before I go on my semi-permanent clean, lean bulk phase.
I'd love your guys opinions, and maybe a estimate on my current BF%?
Should I continue to keep losing weight or start trying to pack on muscle now?
First 3 are before, other 3 are current.
Still a long way to go but I'm pretty proud with my progress so far!
I was near 325 lbs and currently I am somewhere near 280-282~
I'm aiming for 250 before next summer :)

LOL Fawnl, I think you have misinterpreted my post. What you have said is (in a way) what I was trying to say.
How can one calculate lean body mass? You need to know your body fat and weight, right? So you need to take measurements, with a scale and body fat calculator!
I mean if the scale and body fat are showing that nothing has changed, surely one can't say that his/her mirror is showing different and signs of improvement. I hope that I'm clarifying things and not making things worse.
bodyfat cannot be measured in tenths of a digit since there is not a single way to calculate it accurately. One can only get a rough estimate. I think mirror is one of the best ways to see that you are still progressing and donīt go back to binge-eating and being depressed when the scale hasnīt moved for 3+ weeks.

^^^This. Sometimes, your scale does more damage than good. I DO see what your saying, but unless your getting a DEXA scan every couple of days, you have to trust your mind and your eyes to see the small improvements. A tape measure may tell me that I have stayed the exact same in arm size over the past 3 months. That doesn't mean that I haven't made significant changes in that arm. The difference may SOUND minuscule, but if I gain lean mass in my arms from lifting and my arms are obviously leaning out (I can see more definition, vascularity, muscle striation starting to be visible) but the tape measure AND the scale say "No change here", how can we say there has been no progress?
I DO think that checking yourself weekly is good practice. But there does come a point in the weight loss journey where you have to start trusting yourself to KNOW when changes are happening. We all hit a point where it appears we have hit a plateau. But we may be gaining lean muscle mass at the same speed we are losing body fat and that is why the scale isn't changing.
If you rely solely on your numbers changing and not on the actual changes that you can SEE in the mirror... you're setting yourself up to fail.
thanks for this good advice

Thank you!! I feel like it too. Now it's just a continuation of that diet but increasing clean calories and carbs and starting to train heavy. Put some clean mass on.
Just finished my first BB Prep won both shows taking first place in the Super heavyweight division!
310 to 240 Stage weight
