Hi Guys, i loe this thread, gives me motivation every day, i was wondering if you guys remember when started how you guys felt, what thoughts had. for example
When i see the transformation pictures and i look myself i feel like for me it will be impossible to get there.
I've been training for one month now i have 171 cm and 214 pounds , i know this is nothing , im using the MAX OT method i saw in that movie everybody knows and coming back to Jiu Jitsu 3x at week , and i am in a diet also because my doctor asked to do (i have fat liver problem, have to solve that)
So, can you guys share some stuff from that time you felt bad and fat and sad about.
Thanks so much and THANKS for the encouragement you guys give me every day to keep going.
Congratulation for all hard work and great Job.
Cheers

hang in there bro. come to this site often, especially in this section everyone you see, everyone felt the way you did at some point. I'm not ready to post yet (maybe another 6-12 mos) but i've come so far from where i started and it is possible. Don't lose faith if you want to do it, have patience and are willing to follow a plan, its only a matter of time.
Well just turned 40 and never thought this is what it would be like. Been trying to research and learn about nutrition and fitness. Diet has really gotten me confused...so many out there. Some are low carb, some no carb, some low fat, some watch your macros. I get eat more small meals throughout the day and drink tons of water. I drink 2-3 liters of water per day now. I do here quite frequently how destructive carbs are to weight loss, which leaves you with lean proteins and veggies for the most
Exercise is not as difficult...get your fat ass on the treadmill and run till you pass out..j/k. I have heard that combining weights and cardio will produce better results, but my focus right now is weight loss.
I know this sounds like a rambling mess, just trying to find direction in all this wealth of information.. any tips are appreciated!
Just stick to protein and veggies if u are really trying drop weight. If u cut out snacking without a purpose ie chips, etc...weight comes off fast. I mean I was about 256-260 in August 2011....now I'm 200-203...I will be posting pics by end of August 2012,
I'm trying to shed body fat whilst maintaining size.
First is this possible ?
Second , how
I have been training for 5 week now and have lost 14 pounds but am
Now struggling to lose weight , I need to really get on a strict diet.
All I eat ATM is chicken/prawn salads and chicken breasts and veg/salad for t.
What else can I do please someone help me create a diet plan that isn't so boring and that I have a better chance of sticking to and seeing some serious results ,
I wanna prove everybody wrong , no one thinks ican train for long enough to be able to compete but I WILL prove them wrong .
appriciate any help at all. I love this thread it's so motivational .
Keep up the good work guys
The left picture was from grade 8/9 and the right is from this year earlier in march :D
you guys are so motivational. alot of dedication in this forum..

youre crazy man.. amazing transformation even if you're not done yet, good stuff
Well here goes nothing....lost about 80 pounds in 6 months. The pics are from today but I stopped losing in about December. not sure if it is a drastic change since I was a football player and was a heavy lifter, but I wanted to be lean and fit not huge.
Went from 225-147 lbs. (about 8% BF? (I only tested through bioimpedence testing and that can be messed up sometimes))

Solid. What was your cardio like during your big time weight loss?
Solid. What was your cardio like during your big time weight loss?
I ran after every workout, just kept bumping up the distance when it got to easy and got up to 4 miles. I still do cardio after every workout but I do an incline walk for about 35-40 mins and burn 500 cals according to the treadmill, I also have a cardio day where I run 4 miles go on the treadmill for a bit and then get on the bike.
Working hard in the gym(and everything I do) was a mentality I got from football so it's more trying not to burn myself out. I had to push myself to compete at the same level as a lot of other guys since I'm only 5'6" and was playing O-Line. I played my entire senior year on a severely sprained ankle and still made Hon. Ment. for states and I was half a foot shorter than any other lineman on that list.

Been a long time lurker here and finally decided to stop eating absolute crap when I kept getting chest pain every time I downed a burger and fries. I used to be 145 and fit back in 2009. Things kind of went downhill after I got out of the Army and over the past couple years I ballooned up to my highest weight yet (182lbs). On December 19 I just woke up and started doing P90 (Yeah, not P90X, P90) and haven't stopped working out since. Finished P90 a couple of weeks ago and now I'm back to lifting. I'm amazed at how out of shape I MADE myself. Now I'm eating clean, lifting, and back to doing 100 push ups. Now I just want to cut down a bit more and maybe get down to 155 depending on how much muscle I put on.
Now when I tell someone how to diet and exercise I can at least somewhat look like I know what I'm talking about!
182 to 162... May not be as much as some of the others here but I'm proud of myself. I can finally pick up my girlfriend.
*Not sure if my pic shows up, but I've uploaded all of my current pics to my BodySpace
props to all you guys this entire thread is awesome
Nice job guys amazing transformations... It very motivating and its proof for people who say it can't be done that it can, all it takes is hard work and a little discipline.

I've been hearing so much about the IF diet.. I don't have time to read pages and pages about it. Anyone know where I can get some cliffs on IF diet?
Edit: I forgot to tell you great job on the weight loss. 22 pounds in that amount of time is awesome.
