Man, this thread is great. I have been posting every few months and I always start looking from my last post. You guys are all adding years to your life and changing your life around for good! Keep it up everyone.
Heres my progress, not as inspiring as some of yours lol, but I am finally trying to gain some more weight and be beastmode status.
Beggining 2010 - 197 lbs

might not be as good as some of the transformations here, but i finally hit 100lbs lost so i felt like sharing lol. took longer than i wish, but i got it done and am still going.

Thanks for the motivation. I'd like to post my pictures, but can't bring myself to do so just yet.
I started my journey in February 2011, with one mistakes and a 2 months break and didn't really get serious until August 2011. To date I've lost 97 pounds (starting weight 365) and close to 18 inches around my waist as well as 18% body fat (since I started measuring in January 2012) my goal is to get to 200 pounds by February/March of 2013.

Here's my transformation so far:

1. April 2011 - out of shape
2. November 2011 - right before I ran the NYC marathon
3. April 2012 - after 6 months of Starting Strength
4. August 2012 - after 3 cycles of 5/3/1, with a mild Leangains cut/recomp

So first want to say nice job to all that are making great progress.
My question is did a lot of you get a lot of stretch marks when dropping weight? Like on stomach, arms, shoulders, chest,.
Then when u gained muscles in that area, do they appear less?
Bottom picture is about 280lbs and at my heaviest I was probably around 300+. Top picture was taken today about 185lbs. I started to get serious about weight loss around november 2011.

My Before is at 270 lbs. The "since" is at 205. Aiming for 175

Just recently started eating properly with a caloric deficit, and working out like a beast week in, week out.

About a year now, my only regret is that I messed around with my diet way too much, I didn't eat properly, I didn't know any better when I had first started and it took me a long time to get my act together. It just goes to show you how important diet is.
I have been eating clean and proper (Macros and 5-7 meals a day) for about 3-4 weeks straight now without any cheat meals (none so far) and I'm seeing some good transformation, whereas before that, I used to eat whatever and was extremely inconsistent.

I dont do macros yet, just eat under my cals, lowish carbs and hit 200g of carbs each day. I dont eat any crap (no sugar, saturated fats etc).

You're definitely progressing, just stick to a caloric deficit and you'll be fine, it's all calories in vs cals out. Are you lifting weights? or are you just dieting right now?

I looked at your progress photos in your profile and you commented in one of your photos that you eat 11 calories per body weight in lbs?
Don't you think that's too low?

Well, you're cutting at 1700 right now. I'm going at 1815 cals. and I weigh just about the same as you do. I actually thought it was too low at first but my recommended daily calorie intake is about 2500 cals/day. I guess doing a 700 cal deficit is a big jump, but I feel perfectly fine at the gym, not to mention I've been also sleeping like a log nowadays lol.
