Looking great man! Real solid transformation. Did you do cut/bulk cycles?
Six months of some hard a$$ work!!! From September 2011 to current
hey brah great stuff, i noticed you have wide hips, take a pic similar to your before pic standing facing the camera relaxed. Much better way to see actual progress and am curious to see if the wide hips is still a problem (I have the same issue and no matter how much weight I keep losing they're stayying the same).

Yeah, definitely a difficulty of mine. When I get time I'll post a picture... It has gotten a lot better, but still not where I'd like to be. I've cut from 235 to 190 currently. I'm going to cut to 185.. If nothing has changed, I'm just going to really focus on thickening my back/lats.
@Rhinobody Very impressive results. What was your diet and workout routine like to drop 90+ pounds in 6 months? I am on a similar journey right now and wanted to compare what you did versus what I am currently doing.

It's so brutal, probably one of the only things that will stop me from being truly aesthetic. Brahs with V tapers dont know how lucky they are. Yea thicken back and shoulders will make it look less noticable. I'm your height @ 182 and it's pretty bad still, but I store a lot of fat in my lower back which makes it look much worse. Good luck brah 5 pounds should be easy, can prob do that in a few weeks
Ok heres mine, i was really overweight and lacked confidence, before pic is 09, i didnt train til the start of 2010 but have no pics of the initial weightloss, after the weightloss though i got a girlfriend which felt amazing, fast forward to 2012 and we now have a baby together but during the pregnancy i slacked off a bit and gained roughly 14lbs, these pics are from the beginning of this year and i will update in this thread again in a few months as i have now started a bulk...
Before (09) at a car show with random 'models':

This year jan-march:

Edit:
From jan-march i've been doing IF, basically ive been eating my first meal on my lunch break at work (1pm) and my last meal at 7pm, in that 6 hour window i have cereal for the first meal, then a small meal inbetween (soup, tuna salad, single chicken breast or bowl of fresh fruit usually)...
After that i finish work at 4pm, head straight to the gym mon, tues, thurs, fri and do about 20mins cardio, then an hour on weights usually.
I then get home at 7pm and eat a larger meal, usually consisting of meat and vegetables, sometimes i throw in potatoes if i lack energy and need carbs (usually wednesday and friday)
Saturday and sunday i walk the dog for around an hour with my gf and the baby, and eat what i want within reason (ie no mcdonalds, KFC etc)
Double edit:
Starting weight on the fattest pics roughly 260lbs, weight right now 179lbs, i got down to 174 but now on a kind of mini bulk but i go on vacation in 6 weeks so i want to gain as little fat as possible so i'm aiming to be no more than 185 at the time, i will then get back into it properly
Thanks for all of the props, guys. Six months ago I found the original Fat to Fit thread and promised myself that I would post here someday. For anyone who is struggling mentally; remember that you WILL get there. It's just a matter of time. This makes it a lot easier to enjoy the journey. Whenever you feel like quitting, remember that the only real alternative is to be fat. Losing a lot of weight will teach you things about yourself. Your mental fortitude is more robust than you think. Your body can handle more training than you think. Above all remember this; "You'll RUST out before you'll WEAR out!"
I honestly feel a little weird posting this kind of stuff since I'm still far from my goal body, but hopefully it will help! :)
For those asking for routine/diet stuff; I basically just followed the stickies in the nutrition forum. Especially, "Weight Loss for Noobs." Don't be afraid of the compound lifts. They are the most effective and they're time efficient as hell. Also, Intermittent Fasting is full of win. It makes cutting SOOOO much easier. It doesn't have to be complicated. Just get all your calories in an eight hour window.
Alright man, that's cool that you hit the gym, but you weren't fat in your before picture, if anything, you were "skinny fat", and it's easy to push a stomach out to make it look like a gut, which looks miss leading on your part, and i'm sorry if I'm mistaken, but your end result was that you became more toned... If your before pic had you at roughly 300 pounds, then i'd call your after impressive, but for what it is, not impressive. You need more muscle mass.
