Hi guys! This is my 5 month transformation! Still in progress and still cutting, cant wait to begin my clean bulk and add some size! :)
Here's my cutting progress thus far, approximately 8 months into my journey. I started at 247 lbs on January 1st. I'm 168 lbs now (170 lbs in the photo). I keep track of my body fat and lean mass with DEXA scans. My first scan was on May 18th, when I weighed 196 lbs at 31.3% body fat. Over the course of 3 months (I got my second scan on August 19th), I dropped down to 172 lbs with 18.6% body fat, and gained 5.5 lbs of muscle in the process. I have not done any cardio or taken any caffeine during this cut. My goal is 10% body fat, at which point I'll begin bulking.

Nice work man! What was your diet and routine like?

Thanks! I'm currently cutting at 1,500 calories per day (45% protein, 30% fat, and 25% carbs). All of my food is prepared at home (by my amazing wife), and I only drink water. I lift heavy for 1.5 hours each weekday. I do chest on Monday, back on Tuesday, shoulders/traps on Wednesday, arms on Thursday, and legs on Friday. I do 5-6 exercises per body part, 5-6 sets per exercise, and 8-12 reps to failure per set. I rest on the weekends. So far I haven't done any cardio, but I might add that in on the weekends if I feel like I need it.

Unreal for 8 months. But you look so much heavier then 196 in the first photo unless you're extremely short. And where can I get one of these scans done man?

Thanks! I wasn't 196 lbs in the first photo, though. That picture was taken on January 1st, when I was at my starting weight (247 lbs). I was 196 lbs on May 18th, when I got my first DEXA scan. I just included that information to provide some hard data on my decrease in body fat percentage over that 3-month period (May 18th - August 19th). As far as my height goes, I'm 5'11". I'm not sure where you can get a DEXA scan in your area. My advice would be to Google it and see what you can find. I get mine done at a sports medicine clinic here in town for $99.

Benn looking around here a long time for information and thought its about time I created a profile and started posting. Links to before and current photos posted above as I cant post photos in here yet. The before photo is about a year ago when I was almost 220Lbs. Today I am just under 185Lbs and best guess going by the tape measure about 17% body fat. Eventual goal is to get to about 10% and somewhere around 175lbs is probably a good weight for me. Debating on if I continue to cut down to around 10% before I switch to bulk or if I need to start putting on some mass know. Currently following leangains for diet and eating about 1500 calories on rest days with about 150-170g of protein. One training days I eat about 2000 calories and about 180-200g protein. For weight training I have been following Stronglifts 5x5 and am at about 250 SQ, 155 BP and 255 DL. Been losing about 1-1.5 lbs of fat per week with little muscle loss. Would appreciate any feed back, suggestions or if any of the more experienced guys can see anything I am doing wrong as I am still fairly new to this.

Everyone looks great.
Could really need some words of encouragement and new Friends I started my profile today n my goal is to transform completely..... And see where I can take my body to. I'm so out of shape it's a shame
With hard work, you will get there... keep at it :-)
Wouldn't consider myself 'fit' yet by a long shot, although I've come a long way from where I began.... Here's my current transformation... Currently in month 7 of my cut. Started April 1st at 287, currently at 234 pounds. Ultimate goal is 195, and we'll see how the body looks at that point...

Great job so far!! Keep going and never give up!!!
Looking for pics of someone around 6'1 who peaked around 330-340 with sparse to mild muscle and cut to 170-180 before doing bulk-cut cycling until around 190-200 and 10% all without roids and -preferably- good balance and proportions.
Need to know what my goals look like and what loose skin to expect. And by extension how my goals will look WITH the loose skin.
My name is Austin, and I'm 19 and in college. I got into training for powerlifting in January. Weighed 210 pounds in January, and trained for a mock meet April 30th, 2016. Ended with a 385 squat/ 245 bench/ 465 dead for a 1095 total (raw with wraps) at 185.0 pounds body weight. I'm now 4 weeks out from my first official meet. I am competing raw at 181 pounds and I just maxed out at 395 squat/ 275 bench/ 575 dead for a 1245 total at 183.5 pounds. I have come a long way in both strength and physique, and I even plan on breaking the UPA dead lift record for sub-juniors in this meet. My friend and I started an instagram page following my journey in power lifting and his journey in men's physique. ig: Gna_fit .We have been very successful so far, and even got our first sponsorship.

Hi, my name is Jeff, and I'm currently 18 years old. I've been working out since July of 2016, so for roughly 3 months, and now that I'm in college and I have daily access to gyms on campus I've had a lot of opportunity to get fit. Before I ever started working out I was 5'7 and 176 lbs, with about 20-22% body fat. I could only bench 155 for 1 rep and squat 150. Now, I weigh 160 and I'm at roughly 15% body fat. I can bench 225 lbs for 1 rep and 155 for 15 reps. I don't really care much about squatting, but I do squat 2-3 times per week and squat 205 lbs for 1 rep and 140 for 15 reps. I've always been able to bench more than I squat. My arms and chest just grow easily and my legs kind of don't. And I don't deadlift, because it's too painful and I honestly don't think it's that great of an exercise, no offense to anyone who loves deadlifting. I run on the treadmill a little but but I'm not that great of a runner. I run about a 9 minute mile, which isn't impressive. Anyway, it's nice to to be joining bodybuilding forums. This is my first post. Have a great day everyone.
Hey guy,
I'm just getting started on my weight loss. I've ballooned in a year from about 90kg to 115kg and I've not been able to motivate myself enough to change things. This forum thread was just the thing I needed. Thanks everyone!
Decided to go find old Halloween pics. I had forgotten about the 80s-ish **** show on the left lol not surprised I suppressed that memory. Anyways here is me on Halloween 2007 vs me on Halloween a couple years ago. As much as I hate to admit it I can't deny that being able to run with the sloots on Halloween instead of casually trying to hide my fat rolls all night with creative layers of fabric and fur is probably the best part of losing weight
