Hey guys. Been living healthily since December 2011 when I weighed over 400 pounds. I had a 50 inch waist, and barely fit into 3xl shirts.
It wore me out just standing around fixing computers all day and then I realized it was time to live like I want to enjoy life. So I made some
serious changes in my life. I watched fat sick and nearly dead and decided to jump start my good health with a week long juice fast
in January 2012. I also completed the couch to 5k running program while running barefoot in a buddy's field. Since then I have now run 10k
with a time of 49 minutes. My waist now measure 43 inches and I wear xl tshirts. Here is the progress so far that I have achieved by eating good whole foods,
cutting down on liquid calories, and exercising at least five days a week.

Before is in october of 2011 at 221 pounds and the after picture was today at 178.5.

Not to be a dick or anything, but I did actually visit your thread, a bunch of weak pictures really don't show much...good job I guess, but the pictures you have with a baggy shirt (no homo) don't really show much progress.
60 days are all it take to see a different with just eating the right stuff.
Very notivational Thread ! check my prof out for my before and after ( cant post pics yet) 2 months of hard work

I didn't say "NO" progress, all I was saying was that you just didn't show the most flattering pictures. Yes, we can tell you lost weight, but great chest? You're being a little bit overconfident. I'm really not trying to put you down, just saying what I was thinking, which chances are, more people than just me had similar thoughts. This is a workout/fitness website, and in this thread at least, people are generally pretty chill, sack up a little bit and post a picture without an incredibly weird pose. Trying to help you a little bit, no need to get your jimmies all rustled.
My transformation is really a fail, i dont know what I am doing wrong but I cannot lose around my belly at all.
I used to be a really fat kid approx 160 lbs by the time i was in grade 6, this picture is from grade 6 and i reached around that time; i ended up reaching 200+ lbs in grade 8 and decided it was time for a change

it took me a few years to get to this in highschool around 17/18 years old, i was working out 3x a week and doing a lot of cardio, i was in highschool i just cut out sweets/fast food and managed to get down to ~135 lbs

then in university (i don't have pictures), i gained a lot of fat in first year and lost most of my progress and in 2nd year i cut and pretty much went down to skinny fat/135 lbs.
jan 2012 i started a bulk but i went too far and ended up like this; 195 lbs, my lifts were up, but so was my body fat %

after, i decided to cut starting in sept 2012. i started at 2000 cal cut, 225g protein, 100g carbs, 77 fats, then after by november, dropped down to 1800 cals 240g protein, 46g fat, 106g carb, and i got really sick at christmas/ january i had to rehab a shoulder injury i took working out lightly, and halfway through jan i started a 1500 cal cut @ 160 g protein, 100 g carb, 50g fat which i have been doing since. My last weigh in i was at 160 lbs, and took these updated this morning. my routine is a push/pull/legs/push/pull/legs with cardio for 20 mins 6 days a week and abs mon/wed/fri - 3x15 hanging knee raises, 3x10 weighted cable chops. my numbers are; 185 bench, 250 ATG squat, 315 deadlift, the only number that declined so far has been my bench.military press and that was due to shoulder injury and rehab.

does anyone have any tips or any advice? send me a message, but so far, this is my ****ty transformation.
also i am going to miami march 16th-23rd and want to cut as much as i can, pretty much a month to do so. please help.

a typical example showing that your body aint carved in the gym mate....
you build the muscle and the definition in the gym and you sculpt the body you want in the kitchen...
Buddy you cant tell us all here that you got to that size and realised your diet was not in check...
You obviously didnt count your cals in / cals out very well by the look of it..
90% of people estimate calories way way way off the correct amount needed.
Cardio isnt needed but does help... You may want to look up ketogenic diet if you are desperate to drop excess fat quickly.
if you are or were eating CLEAN then unless you been eating non stop you havent been eating clean at all..
I aint here to diss you buddy i also aint here to assist you..... i am though here to give you my HONEST opinion....
Your diet is not in check....... Sorry

start of first day of cut date weight and pic ---- today current still cutting with weight and pic.... then i will send you my mail addy in a pm bud
start of first day of cut date weight and pic ---- today current still cutting with weight and pic.... then i will send you my mail addy in a pm bud
the pictures are right there,
started cut sept 2012.
start weight - 195
current weight - ~160 cant give you exact number right now.
the whole reason why i am frustrated is that i am eating fit to my calculated macros, losing approx 1.2.-1.5 lbs a week, and been doing this for 6+ months.
i have seen people in worse starting position + higher caloric intake cut diet and have cut faster than me, i am just losing motivation.
im afraid you have to understand though that some people are born with different genetics and are maybe more able to lose weight and build muscle better than others. to others you may be the envy of a lot of people who are at the end of there tether as they are unable to build on the body they have. e,g put on weight....
you have muscle.... indeed you do.... and you must know also that the more muscle you have the more calories you burn..... also think about spreading your food out to over 7 times a day thus speeding up your metabolism... hell at one stage i was waking after 4 hours sleep to intake casein .....
possibly for 2 weeks eat EXACTLY the same clean food and water only and see if that helps... so you know EXACTLY what your putting in....
you need to understand that your body type is also an example of what way you will lose weight... are you endomorphic ... messomorphic or ectomorphic... or a mix within them...
are the rest of your family big built... skinny... naturally big boned.... naturally toned?????
Understand i had grey hair at 16 year old.... Why was mr x blond and mr y bald????
Its all to take into consideration when trying to change composition my friend...
as my signature says.... rome wasnt built in a day........ slow weight loss is good..... keep off the scales and judge with a mirror...
keep your protien up to 1gram per pound of body weight minus the fat % and keep your carbs down to about 100 gm to 150 gm and dont eat carbs after maybe 5pm.... get good fats in with oily fish , avocado and flax... eat sweet potato and green leafy veg .... drink loads of water..... removes the water retention around your muscles and (CAN) possibly help with definition...
You aint doin bad mate...... keep it up and keep us updated....... the muscle is there its just hidden..... you also might not be able to tolerate carbs like some and maybe carbs are not helping your cut.....
We humans will die without protien.. or fat....
We humans can live a long healthy life with ZERO carbs......
Ok without carbs you will feel less energetic and your lifts will at the start be sacrificed but that dont matter.... cut to as low as you want (maybe the showing of slight abs) then clean bulk....
I hope i am of help..... i know my rep is craaaap but that is from an argument from the past..... i will help anyone if i can as i been a big laxzy beer guzzlin smokin burger eating layabout once... Never again....
So many awesome transformations on this post! definitely gives me more motivation! This is a before and after of myself.. Left pic was on 4th of July weekend 2012. Right pic was taken in December of 2012.
I would take another pic next week to compared my changes after December.

what was your diet like and cheat meals ? very impressive :)
Photo 1 is January 2012 ( 1st )
Photo 2 February 2013 ( 19th )
My journey is still in motion, Even before the photo 1 i always struggled with my weight and had lost weight previous to the photo.
I was 92 kilos in 2010.
And as of today 74 kilos.

Meat, fish, eggs, cheese, veges, berries, some other fruits, nuts, dark choc.
For the first 5 months or so I cheated maybe once a week... in the last 3 months after that leading up to December I was probably cheating twice a week. Not that I really think of them as "cheats", I think of them as life haha!
I basically follow a primal/paleo approach but I still eat dairy.
