Could anyone offer any advice regarding cutting up/toning a little more?
Hello friends, I've been watching this thread for a year now, hoping that I could post my results one day as well. Well, my results are not nearly as good as yours, I still feel like sharing it. I was able to lose 32 kilograms, I still don't look very good or muscular, I plan on losing many more kilograms. I really enjoy losing weight, which is primary goal. I started eating healthy too, feeling much better during the day, less sleepy, more productive and communicative. Thank you everybody for sharing your stories, it's been and still is great inspiration and motivation for me. I can't find enough words to thank you. Without this thread and guides on this website, I think I'd still be the 140 kg pig.
I'll update when I manage to get under 100 kg. See you till then :)
That is an awesome transformation! You don't even look like the same person! Looking good man.

I am 190 lbs today (lost 16 lbs since the new year) and I'm really inspired with the pics I'm seeing here. Proof that everything is possible with discipline and motivation. Great job! Hope I can post my pics here someday.

Solid man.. good stuff.
Routine? Diet?
Solid man.. good stuff.
Routine? Diet?
Thanks! My diet has always been centered around making sure i get 200-250g protein, 80-100g fat and I adjust my carbs based off if I am trying to bulk or cut. (Bulk i would go up to 300g of carbs). For my routine, I became a gym rat and love being there so I go almost everyday. Plus I have enough free time on my hands in college to do that. I started off by doing simple pullup, push up, situp circuits and have built my way up to now doing 6-day splits.
I found that eating right, making working out a habit and doing it consistently was more important than what the actual workout routine consisted of.
Still Not Done But Progress So Far , Havnt Been Working That Hard Lately Because Of Work. Start Dec 3 Weight is 190 Current Weight Is 164 .
Good job keep it up
The first 2 were taken right before I started working out on 2-12-13 the others are after a month and were taken on 3-19-13. Still have a long way to go and really isn't that much progress, just thought I'd post for the heck of it. Some of them are kinda screwy because I have a terrible camera but I'll take some more in a few months.

Dam!! There are some nice transformations going on, keep it up ya'll

But recomping despite plateau
Will rev things up again soon with a 12 week challenge coming up.
Great transformations, very inspiring!
Below is my Transformation. It has been about 1 1/2 years. 290 -> 228. I couldn't have done it without the stickies. Hope you guys can use it as motivation. The Before and After pics always helped me know what was possible. I still got a ways to go, but at least I have the blueprint to get there.

I would suggest using myfitnesspals.com for your macro counts. And alternate your workout programs form strength to cardio. My wife and I use Body Revolution for our weight loss and Hip Hop abs to get abs worked out, and I use 5 in 1 Golds Gym for my plyo's and weights for more strength. Just suggestion that's all. You don't have to follow it. But gr8 work, keep it going.
dude thats amazing!!! like really amazing!
do share your training and diet!!
Training consists of:
Mon:Chest/Bi/Cardio
Tues:40 Min Cardio
Weds:Back/Tri/Cardio
Thurs:40 Min Cardio
Fri:Shoulders/Legs/Cardio
Sat/Sun:Rest
Cardio performed AFTER every workout for 30-40 min (usually Elliptical)
I learned very quickly that diet is EVERYTHING. The gym has been probably 20% of it all so far
Diet usually consisted of lean proteins and carbs were consumed around my workouts
A sample would be:
Breakfast 9AM: 3 eggs (1 whole, 2 whites) scrambled, 1 slice of cheese, 1 slice arnold 12 grain bread
Workout 10AM
Post workout shake: Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey (double rich chocolate, YUM!)
Lunch 1130AM-1200PM: O'Jenny Turkey Burger (2), Sweet Potatoe, Broccolli
Snack 200PM:Chicken salad (lean breast cutlets), with half/half mix, mustard (dressing)
Snack 400PM:Almonds or can of tuna
Snack 600PM:Shake Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey
Dinner: 2 Chicken Breast, Asparagus (spelling?) or 2 Tilapia Fillets with Asparagus
Pre bed: 1/2 cup low fat Cottage cheese (some days I will cheat and put a few spoons of NPB in with it)
Supplements: Orange Triad (Best multi-vitamin in my opinion), ErgoBolic, ErgoTest, Ergoshred (I did a stack of these 3 and eventually cut the Ergoshred as It didn't seem worth it for the amount you have to take in a thermo, believe its 3-6)
Thats just an example and I ALWAYS consume a source of lean protein with my meals. For me protein is KING.
I also use myfitnesspal to log everything so I make sure I'm hitting my fat/carb macros. I learned that fat is not bad for you (despite what the media puts in our heads) it's actually needed by your body to help get rid of excess fat.
All in all It's going really well and I'm very excited. I havn't lost a TON of weight or anything but my composition has changed dramatically, indicating that I'm losing some BF% and simutaniously putting on some muscle. It's all a learning experience and more science than anything from what I've read. One thing I always tell myself is "I didn't get the way I did in a week, so I'm not going to lose it all in a week" "Rome was NOT built in a day". My 30 minute cardio sessions post workout have been great and alot of the trainers say they have noticed big changes in my comp.
Another word of advice: THROW OUT THE SCALE! IT DOES NOTHING FOR YOU!
To me a scale can really mess you up if your on a weight/cardio routine, especially as a begginer. You can be gaining muscle and think it was fat and get discouraged. Use BF caliphers, they are much more accurate at determining your progress. As with me, when I started I was 210, now I'm 194 but look like I've lost more because my overall composition has been changing due to the above.
Thanks for all the compliments and I'll be sure to post some update pics when summer hits. As always this forums is and will remain a huge source of inspiration to me. I come here daily to check out the progress of others.

Down 84 lbs so far. 22 years old now. 2XL shirts and 42 waist to Medium shirts and 34 waist. Not sure what the end goal is. Still about 16-18%BF. Calipers said 16 but I feel like it still looks like more than that (maybe the inner fat guy talking). I'm gonna do anything to get to below 10%. My first goal was actually 200 lbs. 180 was the end goal. I never imagined 168. I am totally open to a clean bulk, but I wasn't sure if I was supposed to wait for a lower BF%. I could keep cutting, but I don't know when to stop cutting. I would love some advice with that. The last thing I want is skinny fat. Thanks!

Hi bud, great progress, repped btw.
(I'm gonna do anything to get below 10%)....... No your not buddy cos if you do you will regret it.... Do one thing and one thing only...
1. Eat to 500 cal below maintenance.. (so as to no starve or malnourish them fibres)
2. Hit your macros targets. (hitting this will maintain as much muscle as possible.
3. Become the tortoise. (slow n steady wins EVERY time)
4. Cut as much fat as possible before bulk. (less fat when you cut again = easier)
5. 1 - 1.2g protien EVERY 1 lb of lean body weight DAILY.
PLEASE don't bulk now..... Your doing amazing....... And when you do.... CLEAN BULK...... You are what you eat.....
Then read my sig.....
Good luck n well done....

Bahahahaha so funny that you mentioned that! I was about to but power went out all over town. SO internet was down. Thank God the gym has back up lights!!! Dude you killed it!!! It gets better with time! Trust me!!!
Hi guys, been cutting for around 11 months and would appreciate some info on current bodyfat levels. Cheers :)
Before: 117kg/258lbs
After: 83kg/183lbs
Any advice from people who have lost a lot? Do I go overkill and wait on my clean bulk until I'm down to 10% BF? Keep up with the cutting. Or do I clean bulk now and cut from there again?
Went from 270 to 190 current. Pic shows from 255 to 190 didn't have any taken at 270.
Did 2 sloppy rounds of p90x and ate like sheet just less than before.
Humbled by the fact that to get to where you think what u will be happy with is not even actually close.
I always told myself man when I get to 225 ill be a beast... Then it was 200.. Now it's like u still ain't even close bro.
In the gym now tho lifting heavy weights and being a little cleaner with diet. I know that is what is going to get me where I want to be .
I love these forums. Each and every one of you inspire me every day.

Atta boy!!! I had very similar stats! Good job!
Thought I might as well post mine, there was about a year in between. Unfortunately I deleted my FB and don't really have any other pictures from when I was fat so I have almost completely forgotten what live/I was like back then.

Since then I have bulked up 20lbs and am now cutting slowly to retain as much lbm as possible.
Hey guys, unfortunately i lost all of my other before pics because of a lost cell phone, but i dug this one up from last november from when I was in florida, I was a little bigger than this but not by much when I started my transformation on januray 27th. Started at 217 and am down to 191 as of this morning. I can officially say I'm addicted, had a bachelor party this weekend that left me hurting and I still managed to get up at 5:30 am and hit the gym this morning :D
Hey Everyone! This is my current transformation. The before picture was taken early last month, and the after was taken today. the weight difference is about 273 lbs to 253 lbs. If I could get some responses that'd be great!! Thanks everyone! You are all huge inspirations for me!
Beginning weight on Jan 1, 2013: 281.4 lbs
Current weight on Mar 25, 2013: 253.6 lbs
Total Weight lose: 26.8 lbs
Hey everybody!
The first part of this Thread is what got me inspired to transform. I saw the post on December 2011. Started in Jan 2nd 2012. I haven't stopped. A few months into it i decided i would star bodybuilding. These are the results of this:
