I'll be posting here soon, still cutting
Thats my post from the first page of this thread, 15 months later here's my progress so far (actual time between pics is a bit over 2 years). Been through some ups and downs (mostly ups though) and am pretty happy with how everythings turned out so far. Not at my goal yet but very close, I'd say another year. Just want to give some motivation to others in honor of those who gave me motivation from this thread to keep going and make a change. It can be done, my #1 tip = CONSISTENCY. If you cheat, you're only cheating yourself.

Awesome transformation. What was your diet and routine like?
-
Awesome transformation. What was your diet and routine like?
Thanks. Diet was clean ,ate about 5 meals a day each with at least 40g protein, kept carbs to an amount the correlated to the amount of activity i was doing that day. So on Leg/Cardio days I'd eat a good amount but rest days I'd eat under 100g. I like to keep fats as high as possible high for health reasons, my macro split probably ended up looking like 45/30/25 P/C/F. Training I switch it up all the time. I work out 5 days a week and do 45 min of cardio after every workout. Supersetting and lifting the heaviest weight you can with the best form is the way to do it.

Love this thread. With a little will power, you are able to achieve whatever you would like. Here is my progress since that day i stepped onto the scale and said " oh wow, this has got to change". This is my first post on boudybuilding.com. I am liking the site so far, and looking forward to gaining knowledge in all areas about staying fit. I pretty much winged it on my own up until now, with no real knowledge on what to eat, which exercises to do, exactly what supplements I need. So im now finally researching ( i know...... i could have done the researching on the interneta long time ago), so that I can achieve the body that I want.

Try this site. It gives you counts for your BMR and TDEE and then calculates how many calories you should eat each day.

This is my first post on this forum.
To date I have dropped from weighing 300 Lbs to a low of 169 Lbs, but am currently sitting at 175. While I do not know my original or current body fat (something I should figure out) I can say that I have gone from wearing a tight 42 pants and XXL shirt to wearing a 30/32 (depending on the type of pants) and S/M depending on the type of shirt.
I made this drop, and have kept off the weight, from being a hard core calorie counter. Now it's time to add some muscle. Here is a photo taken today, I obviously have a lot of work to do, but I am motivated and working hard in the gym to add some muscle weight. I have also included a picture of me throwing shot put my sophomore/junior year of high school for comparison.
I look forward to learning more about fitness from everyone here.
