Here's my 6 month before an after picture of me 50lbs lighter
Started at 180lbs 5"5, down to 130lbs
The picture on the left was from October 31st 2011 and the picture on the right was about a month ago. I went from 185 lbs to 165 lbs, mostly all in Afghanistan where it's not exactly easy to have a real clean diet. I'm still trying to cut down to somewhere between 155 lbs and 160 lbs to get rid of that little spare tire.
Side Note: I realize both pictures are not the greatest quality and are different angles with different lighting, but I'm an idiot and never took a before picture so that's the best I have. It's still pretty easy to tell there's a pretty big difference in the two pictures.

I actually did laugh out loud on that before picture. Great work man!
Age 25, 165cm June 3rd 2012 80kg (before) - August 20 2012 (current) 78kg
niceeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Cant wait to post up my progress. Doing a 2 month cut, then will post again in here.
ONE thing this thread gave me, which i found nowhere else on the internet. That was knowing what to expect, and in what time scale.
Typically in the past i would do a 2 week diet and think "FUARK! I still have a gut, may aswell give up" However, 2 years on, i still don't have fully visible abs, but my physique has improved drastically, along with my overall eating habits/health.
If i could, i'd reply to you all one by one, thanking you for the motivation that allowed me to make that move 2 years ago. Keep up the good work fellas
I wish I would've taken pics.
Went from 192lbs, 28%bf to 158lbs, 16% BF from OCT11-MAY12
Currently sitting at around 163.
IF, and calorie restriction worked for me.
These are approx 18 week's into my weigh loss journey, I started at 153Kg (337lbs). Now I am currently 128Kg (282lbs).
NO intentions to stop slowing down, feeling amazing and the weight is still coming off people :)
If someone who spent a majority of life in the background, can start to lose weight. I don't think anyone should have an excuse, I think I made every excuse in the book. But mental toughness and a good diet. Is the starting chapter.

Looking at your b4 I would have thought you would have more loose skin in the after. Nice job.
Well i have now officially lost 101.2 pounds(With muscle gains.)!
this is the beginning of my transformation, but it will consist of video logging as opposed to before and after pictures. http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSwds5xx8TUiuiFWN8agpzg?feature=mhee

Thank you guys! This is really motivating me!
Today, 8/31/12, marks 3 years into transformation. It may sound corny, but I consider it my birthday or anniversary of no longer being drunk, fat, and stupid. I played sports all though high school and played plenty of basketball in college, but then the last couple years of school and my first few years at a desk job I put on about 50 lbs over a 4 year span. Here are some of the last flattering pics I have, these were taken at around 200 lbs in July of 2007.

I actually got up to 221 but don’t have any shirtless pics at that size. Trust me, it’s no coincidence. Around 210-215 in mid early and mid 2009:

My company started a Biggest Loser contest 8/31/09, and this was just the kickstart I needed to make a true lifestyle change. I went from 221 to 184 in 12 weeks. Here’s me at ~180 lbs in 1/2010.

I continued my diet and exercise plan and got down to 173, then I decided to give P90X a try starting 2/20/2010. Unfortunately I lost my starting pics so here are the day 30 pics from 3/30/2010.

At this point I got a Bodybugg, food scale, and a dailyplate.com account and started really tracking calories religiously. I continued some of the P90X routines, as well as lots of basketball and running. During this time I ate between 2100-2500 calories, depending on the month. I thought I was cutting based on the TDEE the Bodybugg was telling me, but I ended up recomping for a year, which probably wasn’t a bad thing.
I got really into running, and ran in the 2010 Silicon Valley Turkey Trot 10k (6.2 mile) race on Thanksgiving Day. It was 33 degrees when the race started. I finished 57th out of 4100-something, with a time of 39:36, a 6:23/mile pace.

In 6/2011 I moved, started a new job, had a social life again, and fell into some old habits. I went from 155 lbs to 175 in the span of 45 days.
I decided to do Starting Strength for about 7 months (although had to take 6 weeks off due to a torn calf) and started tracking calories again. Made some strength gains, but was still eating too much. Wouldn’t call it a bulk by any means though.
Here I am at a soft 170 on 2/1/12.

Then in late April of this year decided to say “f it” and cut calories HARD, and amped up my activity a lot. I’ve basically been doing a slightly modified version of Lyle’s Ultimate Diet 2.0 for the last 16 weeks, but without the huge carb load.
Here’s about where I’m at now at 159 lbs. Pics from 7/20/12.

I’m very disappointed that I’m not where I want to be by the 3 year mark. This last little 5 lb ring of fat around my lower abs and love handles just doesn’t want to go and has driven me to the brink of insanity. Some of it is loose skin. When I decided to really give it my all 4 months ago I had planned to meet my goal by today, 8/31/12. But I’m so damn close I can taste (bad choice of words) it. So I’m going to give this one last push until my 30th birthday, on 10/12/12. Over the last 16 weeks I’ve been extremely dedicated, with the exception of 2 several day long binge episodes (which really set me back). I can feel every last one of the hormonal (crashing leptin, testosterone, and increased cortisol, to name a few) and metabolic adaptations that happen when you get lean by dieting hard an overtraining. I’m exhausted, cranky, and hungry 5 days a week (1300-1400 calories, ~160g protein, ~45g fat, ~80g carbs). I eat around maintenance or slightly above on weekends with moderate carbs and fat, basically reefeding on Sat and Sun but still hitting the weights and playing lots of basketball. I think I can stick with this and be firmly into the single digits in another 6 weeks. After that I’ll start slowly reverse dieting.
First off i just want to say everyone who has posted in this thread should be proud of themselves for all their crazy transformations. Second I just want to thank everyone for all the motivation seeing everyone's results gets me up & working out when I'm having those crummy days.
Well here is my contribution to this amazing thread. I'll start off I was at over 300lbs i think maybe 315lbs, (but i stopped weighing myself after i hit 300lbs was embarrassed) & needed a change so i started working out on 3/31/11 started with P90x & eating right & saw some progress. After a few more rounds of P90x i decided i needed something new more fresh i was tired of listening to Tony Horton all the time so i started lifting & doing some boxing on the side for cardio & made more progress. now it's been well over a year since i started getting in shape & since have finished Insanity & i still lift weights. I'm currently at 200lbs as i type this & not done yet! I really wish i took some before pictures to give you guys a better idea of where i started at, but like i said i was a bit embarrassed so i didn't, but you can still see my results so far. I still have a bit of fat to lose around my stomach might be a bit of loose skin who knows? What i do know is I'm not stopping anytime soon i made a lifestyle change & im sticking with it the rest of my life. best of luck to everyone on their weight loss journeys!
To anyone reading this that is thinking about getting in shape, do it! you will feel amazing & look even better! like i said thanks to everyone for the inspiration/motivation to get my ass up & hit the gym.

Agoddammm! nice job bro!
I'm happy to see everyone's progress on here. Nice work to all. This **** isn't easy--it's anything but. I'm motivated by your dedication.
I'm going to share my transformation so far. I started caring about my body around 3 years ago. I was the "fat kid" for my entire public school existence: elementary, middle, high, and college. I was bummed out because of it--I was embarrassed by my lack of athleticism (I couldn't even do a single technically correct push-up or chin-up when I started)--and speaking to women terrified me, due to a lack of confidence.
On my graduation date, I looked at myself in the mirror, and snapped. I was really successful in all things education/work/etc... but looking at myself, I thought, "at what cost to my body and health?!" That day, I vowed I would lose my weight and never gain it back.
It's been incredibly difficult. At first, I had a tough time losing weight, and finally pulled that off. Then I tried to gain muscle, and had an equally difficult time with that. I got frustrated and almost quit several times, but discovered the importance of tracking my progress. I weighed in weekly and did a progress shot monthly. If a program wasn't producing results, and I followed the diet or workout as instructed for 2 months: I would change variables, go another month or 2, and again measure effectiveness. In doing this, I've discovered my body and strength responds best to intermittent fasting (LeanGains inspired plan) and specialization training with one "Big Lift" maintenance day per week. If I do the Big Lifts 2 or 3 times a week, my progress is slow, no matter how much I eat--but if I do them once a week, I'm able to add much more weight to the bar with each workout. Of course, the opposite may be true for some of you as all of our bodies are different, so that's why progress tracking is so damn important. I don't believe there is a "one size fits all" diet or workout plan. We're all different creatures who respond differently to different things.
Anyway, I'll stop rambling, and share the photos. The first picture is what I looked like on my graduation date when I snapped. The second was at the end of the weight-loss phase. I stayed at that point for almost a year before I figured out the importance of progress tracking (seriously, do it). The final picture is after 6 months of LeanGains combined with HSS-100 (Christian Thibaudeau's specialization routines from T-Nation).
I'm not going to let myself get content. I want to become a Monster, and I look forward to achieving this. Please, never let yourself get discouraged and quit. It's not easy, but getting in shape will change your life. I'm more confident in my body, I'm happier, and I feel much better about myself. The difference is HUGE!
Seriously some crazy results! I just keep coming back to this thread to see what else has been posted. You all look amazing, and keep up the great work!
Not at my fattest but close, came from 230~lbs 30~% to now, 194lbs. Unsure on bodyfat still got a bit to go untill I'm at my goal! 185 @ 8-9%

Awesome transformation! Starting with my cut today so this is just great motivation! :)
I just wanted to share with you, that you are all amazing!!! Great Job!!!
I actually also would like a small tip if someone has the desire to help me off course.
Just a short introduction.
I was around 292 pounds (at least until i had the courage to jump on the scale) and decided
that this should stop. I lost approximately 112 pounds for maybe 2 years. A that time (3 years ago) i reached
180 pounds and i still wanted to go, but i had an incident which later on combined with laziness and depression. However, no excuses, i gained back some pounds
and currently i am 222 and i started again after i saw all the great transformations.
I am aware about my diet, but my training regime is the darkest part. I will describe my training plan and hopefully somebody will tell me is it ok or not so good.
If we consider a 7 day week:
Day 1 - Morning: Cardio; Afternoon:Gym
Day 2 - Morning: Cardio: Afternoon: HIIT
Day3 - Morning Cardio: Lunch: Swimming pool Aternoon: Gym
Day 4- Morning: Cardiot: Afternoon: HIIT
Day 5 - Morning: Cardio: Afternoon: Gym
Day 6 - Rest
Day 7 - Swimming pool
@I was thinking to incorporate swimming for 30 mins at each lunch brake at my work, because i have swimming pool 5 mins from my work, but i am not sure is it a good idea?
I know that it looks quite busy, but in general i was used to train allot, even though i am not athletic at all, when i lost all the weight i realized that i have really good stamina, but i lack the
muscle power and also due to being fat all my life my joints were sort of ****** up.
However i want to reach results i know that they require determination and patience, and i am prepared.
I will really appreciate some feedback ;) Keep them coming you are all amazing!!!
i'm an asian, 21 years old
i know this body doesn't mean much comparing to those pro body builders, but i'm very happy i keep improving myself everyday, i get alot of motivation from here, and i hope i can help motivate those which have the same goals and dream as all of us at here does
