great job
Hey. This is my first post here and i've been looking through this thread for a few days now. some motivating stuff. i went through some big changes this year and decided i was sick of weighing 370 so i undertook my own transformation. i'm currently at 280 right now. started cutting in mid February. The first picture is a comparison of before i lost any weight to what my face looked like about a month ago. the second is a picture i took on March 30th. after i had lost about 30 pounds. and the last is my most recent picture that is from a couple weeks ago.
great motivation keep em coming
3 months into it.
My love handles are being incredibly stubborn. What do you think i'm down to BF% wise? 15?

Thanks. And I don't think i'm ever going to stop. I've made the lifestyle change and i'm going to keep cutting until I hit the 220-230 range. Then try putting some muscle back on then possibly cutting again. But the healthy habits are here to stay!
woooow amazing job man, great :)

Arms looking crazy man, good job!
I don't really have any before body shots as I never really though when I started my transformation that I would actually follow through with it.
I started last February (2011) and was at 280 at the start of when I began Insanity. Today I weight 175 and have just finished doing Insanity: Asylum.
I started at 16 years old and now I'm turning 18 next month. I was pretty proud of myself after I see where I've come in a little over a year.
First attachment is me today at 175, I'm as small as I want to be and now I have to return to the gym :P
The second attachment is me camping about 2 years ago, a few months before I started working out.
And the last attachment is me holding a picture of what I was like right before I started at 280 pounds.
So today I'm down 105 pounds and so happy :D
Well done!
Here is my 7 month progress. I have gone from 281lbs to 221lbs / Waist down from 51" to 38.5" / BF% from 37% to 21%.
Still got a ways to go before I reach my goal of 195lbs and then re-evaluate my goals.

PS-Felt like sh$t in the first pic. Feel GREAT in the second pic.
Huge inspiration, hopefully i can post some of my own soon. Keep up the good work.
My first 12 weeks. I used the Body-For-Life strength training routine and I used a beginners half-marathon training schedule I found on about.com.
I don't have enough posts yet to put up url's
I did a MicroFit assessment at the beginning (said 34.1% BF) and another today but I'm pretty sure the dude is bad at it and gave me a number that was lay low. I'm going to try to get another one done later.
I have more pictures in my gallery on my bodyspace. "The My feet hurt" picture is just after completing a 13.1 mile (half-marathon) run.
keep going bro..
Thanks, most definitely am going to continue. I'm going to have a small break in my strength/cardio due to getting PRK surgery depending on what the docs recommend, but I'm in this for the long haul. I am just happy to have gone this far. Just an estimate but I'm guessing I'll probably have to continue on this path until at least late April/May before I can being a bulk.
what an awesome thread, some really inspirational stuff here, i have started the much awaited fat loss journey at the begining of the month!
my initial weight was 267lb 1/7/12
weight as of this morning 253lb 24/7/12
not a great amount but I had a week of illness which really threw me.

@ Falician Amazing transformation bro.
Peteyytran effing fantastic progress overall what was your timeline like?
Started at 230 lbs on June 18th
Now 1 month Later. And down a solid 28 lbs! No definition as I have focusing solely on my endurance.
Have successfully managed to increase my endurance from barely running 1/4 mile to easily maintaining 2 mile jog!
Would love feedback on my progress, how to get rid of this stubborn spare tire, and when to incorporate lifting.
In this thread daily for inspiration. Definitely one of my goals to finally get to post in here.
Great work, everyone.

How did you get away without any loose skin? That's what I am worrying about.
8 stone down and 2 more to go and skin is ok apart from a few stretch mark!

Dayum good job!
I just want to say a big thank you to everyone who has posted their transformation pics. I am moving across the country to Atlanta, Georgia in a couple weeks for more job opportunities and a change of scenery from the depressing pit of a town I live in. I have decided its time to begin my own transformation. I am 29 years old, almost 30, 6' and 375lbs. It's taken me 12 years to put on all that excess weight. And to be quite honest, only recently has it started to bug me. I won't lie, I enjoyed spending my 20s eating and drinking to excess and paying no attention to my health. But now my desires in life have changed.
These pictures are just the most amazing motivation I've ever had. It's easy to get down and think that its impossible to change your life, but when the proof to the contrary is right there in a picture from a real person just like you, you can't deny it and it's very liberating.

did you cut then bulk then cut? or just cut from your first pic.
did you cut then bulk then cut? or just cut from your first pic.
When I started out I was 165 skinny fat bulked up to 195 and gained a lot of strength but even more fat. then cut down to 165 maybe a little lower I've just been maintaining at 165 for now. I didn't take any pics when I was bulking.
Transformation started in December 1, 2011. Finished cutting on July 28. 2012
Start at 277 lbs. 34%BF. Finished at 187lbs, 10.5 percent!!
6 short months of extreme cutting, but I only lost 8 lbs of lean mass while others in the same challenge were shelling 30-40, and even 52 lbs of hard earned muscle!! Wooot!! Now on a bulking program to gain MASS BABY!!
Pics were taken at start. Last pic was July 28. I know there are 9 photos, but I took pictures every week of this change, so many to go through. Just picked the ones with most change!!
I did not do Lean Gains while the cut was happening, but I am now on the program and doing A VERY CLEAN BULK!!
How'd you manage to lose so little muscle mass? 'splain!
