Your facial expression speaks volumes! You have to feel 110% better!
Your facial expression speaks volumes! You have to feel 110% better!
Absolutely! So much more energy now. I'm at the stage where people are starting to comment too, which is a nice boost.
Long way to go though, I had a DEXA this week and I'm still at 28% bf. Must have been +40% to start with.
Crazy lean! Don't even know how one gets that lean while still holding some muscle. Safe transform✅💪👍
Hey guys, im 21 years old, i started my first cut in December and ended last week. I went from 170 to 139.2. Scale says 12% BF but more realistically around 13%. Started lifting on the cut so my gains weren’t much but now i plan on doing a lean bulk until june of 2020. As Robert Frank says “swole is the goal, size is the prize, its gainz o’clock mf LETS GO”.
Procress photos on my dashboard
bodyspace.bodybuilding.com/photos/view-user-photo/104840136
I was able to lose 37lbs in 2.5 months... 194lbs to 157. I just have no concept of bf%... can someone comment what I was before and what I am now? I uploaded the photo on my bodyspace.
Thanks!
Love this!! Thanks so much for sharing!
Well done everyone! keep up the hard work! Not easy but well worth it!
it's been 10 years since my post :)
I'm at about a 49-50lb loss and now focused on building mucle. How tall are you? You went super extreme on the weight loss. Upper body looks absolutely ripped. Maybe it's the angle of pic but you almost look too skinny. What's your weight goal on bulk?
Sorry I'm late on this, kind of missed it.
I did take a little too far. Lost a good bit of muscle towards the end. I'm 6'1. Right now, goal weight is 160lb then reevaluate from there.
Hey guys, first time post in here.
I'm Ivan originally from Argentina. I moved to do a PhD in Ireland (Limerick), after obtaining my MSc in software engineering. I'm 33 years old and started working out when i was 18 years. I never cared about dieting and during my first 6/7 years of training, despite begin constant, didn't look the way i wanted. I realised, a little later, the benefits of dieting and had an amazing transformation (thanks to my coach, of course). Consistency definitely is the key.
Wow, you have an obvious transformation. Are you still in the workout?
You are so sexy now!
wow, you are in great shape now!
25 years old (now) / 175 cm (<<5′ 8.8976″>>)
2018 June:
70kg / 99 cm in waist
Today:
55kg / 81 cm in waist
The secret? There is no secret: Changing my lifestyle, the diet (90%). No bulk (just 3 months of HIIT cardio trading in 2018).
Now I have some ab fat (can be seen when sitting down), so more ~3-4kg cutting before starting bulking is my next step.
Just joined a few days ago. I'm 5'10"., 174 pounds and 8.6% body fat
I do have 50 posts yet so I don't think I cam post pics directly. But please look at the pcs I posted in my gallery. And lease tell me where I am lagging.
December 27th - 269lbs
April 7th - 231lbs
I've been putting my Covid lockdown time to good use, hitting the home gym and focusing on consistent meal prep.
I've lost 15.8kg (34lbs) in 12 weeks. Still a long way from where I want to be but it's a start.
Wow some absolutely amazing photos on here, I check every time I need motivation
You are such an inspirational lot :) x

I've just completed two cycles of Six Week Shortcut to Shred, however without the "cardio acceleration" BS that the program comes with - I want to lift, not do half assed lifts because I am hanging out of my arse from skipping or jumping.
I had just tipped the scales at 100.6kg, and the second pic is taken at 85.6kg - a total of 15kg in 15 weeks.
Zero loss of strength, increase on some lifts. Protein around 130-180 each day.
Moving on to a new program on Monday as I want to bulk up for around 12 weeks, and then I will make a decision based on the success at that point.

Looking good mate, well done
Still trying to build muscle and cut fat. Working constantly and in a bad marriage left me lost and unhappy. After my divorce I used the pain I felt as a springboard for change. Not the best transformation but went from 226lbs to about 165lbs. So much happier with myself and my moods are so much better.
In my tag line. Did it a few years back but really proud of how the hard work paid off.
Wow. Great work
I watch it and admire you very much. I have already lost 10kg. From 105kg to 95kg, I want to lose weight to 80kg. dd

Nice!! Something major changed in your life? I know it’s only one pic but dude you look a bit upset and not settled in the first pic. In the second pic you look so figured out and calm. Wow! Congrats
What’s your starting and ending bodyweight?
And starting and current lifts on bench, squat, deadlift?

Thank you for the kind words. The first pic was at a low point in my life... a family member I was very close to had died a few months prior and I'd just gone through a rough break up. That combined with other things going on in my life... something just clicked and I changed everything. Fitness first, then an amazing new girlfriend... then I got a new job and moved to a new city with the new girlfriend... it's been a wild ride.
I'm 5'11" and I started at 195lb, cut to 160, bulk to 180, now I'm 158 nearing the end of another cut. I've tried to be honest with myself and what I will and won't do through all of this and when I started I knew there was no way I'd consistently go to the gym so I decided to see how far I could get with dumbbells at home and that's all I've done, so I don't know my bench/squat/deadlift numbers. I don't have the space for a rack in my apartment so sooner or later I'm going to have to decide if I want to get a gym membership and continue to progress or not.
It’s officially been a year since I started eating healthier and working out and its now been 8 months since I’ve started lifting. I’m 5’0, starting weight was 148 lbs and now down to 124 lbs. Was originally focused on just getting skinny but now I’m focused on building and exposing muscle. 1st picture from May 2019 before I started working. 2nd from May 2020. 3rd is most recent Aug 2020
Weights and cardio, 70/30. Now in Aug - I have started focusing on heavier lifting.
Quite pleased with the progress, I am taking my time !
Started at 117kg - now 95kg. On a cut currently.
Love lifting heavy, I think it suits me - but I am a former runner also so I love my runs too (6-10km).
There was a dash of keto in there also aswell as IF, neither of which I bother with now - its all about the Cals in and cals out. Cheat meals Fridays, and a little more relaxed on Saturdays.....
I reckon another 12 months and I could be close to my current targets.
Everyone...keep up the amazing work - its you guys that inspire me to keep it going!
Hello guys, my first time posting on this forum.

Hi DraxusD,
I had to sign up for an account just to reply that your post was exactly what I needed to see. Your progress is amazing! I haven't been happy with my weight for a long time, feel like a sloth all the time. Always had problems with eating way too much and massive cravings for food. Recently at my high point of 250lbs I had enough. 3 months ago I cut my portions to about 1/3 or less of what I was eating. Over 3 months I have dropped 40lbs without working out. I now have incorporated a simple workout to build my core and help facilitate the weight loss a little more. I'm aiming to go down to about 180lbs. But after seeing your post I am thinking I may be able to go even lower, maybe 160 should be my mark as I am about the same height as you. I just wanted to say thank you for your honesty in your posts! I am on my own journey, but it's nice to see people that already did a journey that is very similar to mine!

Complete diet change, cheat days, daily home workouts, 2-3 days running 2-4 miles per run, cardio sessions, dumbbell and kettlebell sessions. Core sessions. Majority You Tube videos.
The big question for me is, what next? I would like to build more muscle, not get bigger, tone areas...
See profile for images. Thanks!
Is this thread dead? Hopefully not.
I got pretty excited seeing part 2. Part 1 was a great read, and it's nice to be able to put my story out there.
The quick of it: Gained relationship weight, got divorced, lost 60lbs out of a planned 100lbs. Have been slowly fixing physical and mental health.
I was always fit growing up. I didn't have pudge until I joined the high school football team. At my heaviest I was 215 @ 5'8. My senior year I met my future ex wife, and we consistently dated for years. When I got to college I gained a few lbs, but my roommates taught me how to properly lift. This helped keep the freshmen 15 off, and honestly had me both looking and feeling strong. We even entered a powerlifting competition, which was a great time.
Fast forward to my senior year, and my spotter has graduated along with my friends(they were all engineers a year ahead of me). I'm sure there are folks that would understand the fear I felt trusting other gym goer's to spot me when I am repping 315 easily. There was one other guy that knew how to spot for me, and was strong enough in case I failed, and his schedule was too different from mine to link up. So senior year I stayed in my room for long periods of time eating cheap chinese food and playing videogames. My relationship was stressful, and I just wasn't feeling myself. I went from 225 to 270(Doctor's chart shows it likely happened in less than a year) and I kept gaining weight from there.
Got married and moved to a new city for grad school. It proved to be too much. Steadily gained weight for the two years I was out there. Heaviest I weighed was 310. Flunked out after a year, marriage stress eventually lead to a divorce, and I was working a ****ty gas station job.
Worst time of my life. By far. Hated myself, hated my job, didn't feel like I was worth salt.
The divorce woke me up a bit. Decided to stop being sad and change things for the better. If I wanted to date someone hot I needed to get hot myself. Began with cutting back my ridiculously horrible diet, then walking and buying more groceries. Figured fit people didn't make it a point to always have convenience. Started parking at the back of parking lots, taking the stairs, etc. Lost about 20-30lbs.
Moved back home and got a much better job. Started cooking with my crockpot. Got bad news from my doc(diabetes and high blood pressure), but I was able to tackle that relatively easy. Currently on meds, but no longer in diabetic or high blood pressure ranges. Doctor expects me to be weened off meds around the end of the year at this pace.
The hardest part is mental tbh. Especially being halfway to my goal. I've worked so hard over the course of almost two years, and I still don't full enjoy what I see in the mirror. I'm excited to hit 205. Will post progress pics eventually.
Have barely posted on this site before. Can’t figure out how to post pictures, don’t see manage attachments in additional options as google said
