You've done a good job so far, but I think you're underestimating your fat by a rather significant amount. Also if you're still eating 12-1800 I would change that immediately.
What should I be eating instead? I've been eating about 1800 a day.
EDIT: Also I've done body measurement tests which I know aren't that accurate, but all of them have been between 20 and 25%. I a lot of muscle in my legs, so most of my body fat is right in the picture where you can see it. I think I'm probably closer to 25% but I don't think I'm much higher than that.

This topic is very inspiring!

I would post pictures but my account is too new.
From 6/1/11-2/15/12 I lost almost 50lbs, and am down to 6% body fat.
I did that by eating 1200-1500cal a day, very high protein, low fat, low carbs, and lifting 3 days a week.
Now that I am down to a manageable body fat %, I am working on gaining muscle, while staying lean. I am trying a 12 week program, I eat protein/carb heavy 2600-2700 calories on workout days, 2000 calories high protein low carb low fat, on off days. I have a slow metabolism so I am starting off with slightly less calories than the program I am following suggested, I am going to see how this goes for two weeks, if my body fat % goes down, and or my lifts don't go up, I will add a few hundred more calories of carbs on off days.

Wow, lost of great progress in this thread
Don't take this the wrong way but what's ur diet and workout like? 14 months is enough time to pack a little more on.
Progress none the less!
Diet is clean as maybe I havent been eating enough cal's per day to have massive gains? Training for at least a hour 5 times a week.

Currently only 30 or so lbs away from my goal of 230! From there I'm going to see if I need to lose anymore or not. I think I'm at around 20-25% body fat right now so 230 would put me in a pretty good place.
Same size here with the same goal but i wanna hit like 215-220

Why on earth would you hope to be stationed here? I'd love to be stationed anywhere that wasn't so infantry-heavy; it sucks the "hooah" out of me.
At 6'3, I was weighing in around 350 and was going to be turning 21 in November. And it was pretty much all fat, I'd never really been muscular... had been leaner in my teens before high school ended, but not alot of muscle. So in the summer, decided it was time to change my life around. Alot of trial and error with diet and exercise... had a good friend who showed me how to lift, albeit more powerlifting as opposed to bodybuilding... but, in the end, any form of exercise helps, and educating yourself with knowledge from individuals you meet along the way, as well with online resources like bodybuilding.com, there is no reason why someone should feel like there isn't stuff out there to help them with what they want to achieve.
I still have a long way to go, but I'm happy with what I've achieved so far. Currently, between 235-242. It'll be two years of lifting weights, March 30th! Dat loose skin is a ma****a!
Dude phenomenal results! So inspiring! What was your routine like, diet, supplements, tips, advice etc.?
When i first started I quit drinking soda/juice and cut my fast food eating down to maybe once every 2 weeks and started doing a lot of cardio (maybe running 4 times a week) I lost like 40lbs within 2 months... once I dropped down to 200 I was content with what I looked like for a while so I just maintained what I had.
About 4 months ago I started hitting the weights hard 3-4 days a week and kept a low calorie/high protein diet for that time, lots of tuna/eggs/chicken/protein drinks.
Subway is your best friend if you don't have the ability to cook food everyday, just make sure you choose the correct stuff to put in your food (spinach/tomatoes/cucumbers) and go easy on the condiments if decide to add them.
Multivitamin, fish oil, probiotics, whey post workout, and casein before sleep is all you need as far as sups go!
My only tip is to just stay motivated and remember that consistency is key with dieting and lifting if you want good results! and make sure you give your body adequate time to rest to prevent over training injuries!

Awesome transformation dudes! This thread keeps me going knowing that I share the journey from flab to fab with other people around the world. Here's my progress so far. Started around Nov of 2011 weighing around 196-197 (GROSS I KNOW) to my current weight still playin around 177-178. Sort of reached a plateau as of the moment, especially with the love handles but nothing I can't manage, I suppose. :) Keep going hard at it and I know we will all get that awesome body we want!
