how long would you say till they show?
-
how long would you say till they show?
it comes down to a few variable factors like the frequency and intensity of your cardio and diet, if you really stick to it and push yourself i would say 4-6 weeks from now you'll notice them coming through, start doing core work as well if you're not already a lot of people say it doesn't make a difference but personally i got results from just adding 15 mins core work at the end of each work out.
May 1, 2010 I hit rock bottom. I had lost everything in a divorce. I was sick, bitter, withdrawn, unhappy.

Holy f*uck. This transformation literally gave me goosebumps. That's impressive. Congrats, and I hope you find yourself a dime piece.

I'm completely new to weight lifting (as in, started a month ago!) and it can be really intimidating at times since I have no background in any of it. I've not really ventured into the forums but am so glad I have - talk about motivating & inspiring!
Great job everyone - can't wait to join you all in the transformation photos!
Left pic is from 2010 and is pretty much the only fat pic I have left. Most of my before pics have unfortunately been deleted :( the right pic is just a few days ago! I'm currently prepping for my first Figure competition in July and finally got around to taking some updated progress pics. This side by side comparison means the most to me because I know I've worked on becoming a better person and I'm also the happiest I've ever been in my life. So it's not just a physical transformation but it's an overall. Inside and out. I can only hope to inspire a few people!
Awesome transformation man. Did you lift on keto? Or did you prioritize diet only? What about Cardio?
I'm kinda thinking of going keto myself.

Lifted on Keto but never really gained much strength. Workouts were so friggin exhausting (but well worth it). I just started doing Cardio beginning of May.

Sick. diet and training routine?
-
I was lucky enough to have a great metabolism until now, so I just cut out some bread and sweets diet wise (in the 1st couple of years). Now I am on a stricter diet, which doesn't lead to much gains, but helps me maintain 8-9% body fat. I usually eat 3 eggs in the morning with some low fat high protein cheese, a turkey breast (300g) salad (with tomatoes, onions, cucumber, etc) at lunch, fill my snacks with fruits and nuts (goji, walnuts, apples, oranges), some rice with chicken breast before gym in the evening and a little spaghetti afterwards. I take around 75g of whey protein per day, 3g of omega-3 (GNC triple-strength), animal pak multis and I've seen some nice results with DHEA and tribulus (might just be placebo though).
As for the training routine, I don't change what already works IMO: classic 4 day split with either chest/bis, back/tris, shoulders/abs, legs or chest/tris, back/bis, shoulders/abs, legs, both with rest days before legs and chest. I've also tried push-pull routines when I had more free time, doing 6 days per week: push, pull, legs, pause, push, pull, legs but that really requires a lot of sleep and once I got a job I couldn't keep it up. I stick to 20-24 sets for bigger groups and 10-12 sets for smaller ones, focusing on the big compound movements.
