This is from November 2011 to January 2012. I have older pictures I need to dig up at 200+ 30%+ bodyfat, I was a bit camera shy then so I don't have any on hand at the moment.
First pic was 3 months into cut at 181 and last one is approximately 5 months in at ~167

Thank you on a bulk now so changing again.
For the greater part of it I didnt take anything just put the time in at the gym lifting light and resitance training and doing cardio. Then in the last 1/2 months I started on Pharma whey and some strippers (which I dont think did anything really) Just keep it nice and clean soon dropped off.

GREAT WORK EVERYONE! KEEP IT UP!!
Hey everyone, two years ago I was at my heaviest 320 pounds...I never thought that I would be able to lose the weight, I tried the low carb diet would lose 10 pounds and gain it back a month later, several times. I would try exercise but would lose motivation quickly after not losing weight fast enough. Then I came across this fat to fit forum and all the pictures inspired me and showed me that it really was attainable. Something in my head just switched and I decided I was going to lose the weight. Another site that really helped me out was mrlowbodyfat .com, Muata (the blogger on that site) lost over 100 pounds and detailed how he did it and I learned a lot from that. So on my own I went from 320 down to 290 then at 290 I started weight watchers and that tought me portion control, stopped going to meetings but kept the information I learned with me. Now I basically try and eat healthy and try and eat about 1,000 calories a day and do an hour and a half of cardio 30 min on treadmill one hour on elliptical machine.. 3 -4 days a week. I am not at my goal yet I need to loose another 40-50 pounds then I want to bulk... I still have a lot to learn about bulking, cutting and nutrition. Also when I got down to 290 pounds I started charting the scale and you can see my weight loss wasn't consistent, but I always stayed motivated and didn't drift too far away from my weight loss goals so that kept me on track..

atm im still fat when i take my shirt off :( so i know i still have work to do. I do not look fat with a shirt on just chubby i guess that is what i am atm
its cool to come here and see a lot of other people doing what i have been trying to do
Nice! And you won't be embarrassed when you have some awesome "after" shots.
I'm biased, since I've never been able to pull off a super-low-carb diet, but I think the most important thing is to eat responsibly, which mostly means keeping your caloric intake in check. For me it also means lots of steamed veggies and lean meat. I do keep bread and pasta to a minimum, but I still have grains. FWIW I've been able to drop 60 lbs that way, plus running and lifting.
If you're in ketosis, keep it going. But I suspect that you aren't, which means you need glucose, in which case being low-carb kind of sucks.
The gym is a great idea. Even if you have gear at home, there's less pressure to push yourself there. Once you start working out regularly I think you'll find that the dieting is easier, both because you won't have to work so hard at it and because you'll start to think of food more directly as fuel. Anyway, congrats on your progress so far. 10 pounds is significant on our frames (though you're a bit taller than I am).
lulz you just gotta be strong mentally bro. I'm getting about 20-30 carbs a day to get from 10.5 to 8% in 2 weeks.. As you said, Meats + **** tonne of steamed veges to fill you up + healthy fats = success.
DANG IT!!!!! I wanna post again. 8 more months
Good job everyone!!!
Awesome changes on this page...

The first pic was taken in 2007 in Manila Philippines. I was in the worst shape of my life, drinking daily, not working out, eating pizza as a staple. Thank you for the compliments!!!!!
I always wanted to contribute to the old thread but never got around to it so I'll post these up here. Unfortunately I don't have any shirtless before pics, and I don't look quite as lean as I did in the after pics anymore but I'll post .

here's a picture I like because it shows how deep my cuts eventually got even without overhead lighting (again not QUITE there right now but I'll get back.)
First of all, I just want to say that all of these transformations are honestly inspiring. It's pretty brave to admit to yourself that changes need to be made and very brave to go about making them. Then it's very admirable to share such drastic transformations. I appreciate having this as a reference to what people can accomplish when they're dedicated and motivated. I'm still a total noob and am still trying to get a feel for everything so bear with me, but thought I might as well share. It's not the biggest transformation and it's nowhere near where I'd like to be but I feel a huge change in the way my body performs, in my overall mood and my overall quality of life.
I was skinny/fat in college. I was all about having a low number on a scale and fitting into a size 0. I gained a lot of weight after I had my son simply from getting depressed and overwhelmed and having horrible relationship issues. I should have been exercising instead of binge eating.
Anyways, I hated how I looked. I hated how I felt even more and I felt like the world's biggest hypocrite being a fat nurse. So I started running 5-6 days a week, lifting 4-5 days a week, replaced all beverages with plain water and completely changed the way I ate.
I'm not sure what order the pictures will show up, but the bigger two are July/August 2011- 172.2lbs Yuck
The smaller three are within the past few weeks- hovering around 125-127lbs
Like I said, not where I want to be but I've been trying to measure my progress through fitness/lifting goals and how I've been feeling. Progress, not perfection. :)
You are now officially hot. Well done!

Awesome! What was your routine like? diet and supplements? advice etc.
Awesome! What was your routine like? diet and supplements? advice etc.
Thanks man! My routine wasn't too strict honestly I would just try and get every muscle group in once a week at least, some maybe twice. Diet was IIFYM (if it fits your macros) and supplements none significant. I've tried multiple pre-workouts but stopped taking them all together, occasional protein shakes here and there, and some xtend to flavor my water through out the day lol (haven't tried the new xtend).

Very inspirational thread. Ill need to take more pictures. Here's me after I leaned out over about a 3 month period. Gradually dropped carbs/calories, did a 5-day split, and cardio 3-4 days a week for 30mins.
Great work to every one!
this thread has so many acheivments ey, should caluclate like how much weight intotal somewhere people lose in 12 months like the Jan to May cut but a 12 month one, would be amazing to see the amount.

This was my transfotmation last year. I gained a lot of weight back this winter and i'm sitting at around 189 lb's. Trying to cut down to 165. Also my bench has gone up to 275 since this vid. I can't believe this is me. I also can't believe how much I've slacked and let myself go. I have to get back into it. I just have to. The second was me this summer. It's a shame how I look now :l

Hmm, I really don't know what to tell you, as body building is something I just do without really giving it much thought. Lately for the past decade I've grown into a severely bitter lonely person which I feel helps motivate me to do what it is that I do at the gym. Yea, if you want motivation find a woman you would give your heart and the universe to and silently do nothing while you witness her rip your heart out, feed it to her goldfish after she is done repeatedly stomping on it. Afterwards my friend, take those emotions and bottle them up and use them as motivation, trust me it works better than all the pre workout gimmics combined.
But I try to work in all the body parts for one week including cardio sessions. Here was what I did last week.
Monday Like a bat out of Hell I ran 3 miles to the gym (20 minutes), worked on my back doing dead lifts, hack slide squats, leg presses and leg extensions for one hour.
Tuesday worked shoulders; Military presses, shrugs, upright rows for an hour. Participated in the Turbo Kick box class, for an hour
Wednesday went down to the garage and worked chest on my bench press, nothing special just 10 sets at 225 pounds, followed by pushups and inclines.
Thursday Biceps, and tris; barbell curls at 120 pounds, overhead barbell extensions, other stuff I can't remember for an hour
Friday Angry as Hell at this point after doing an hour of shoulder exercises I participated in "Mean Ol' Cynthia's" Boxing Boot camp class.
Saturday Sunday rested
Now as diet goes, I eat clean 94% of the time, lean chicken, beans, lots of fruits and veggies, basically what a Gorilla would eat in the wild, ALMOST!
Can't wait to tell you all what I did this week.

lmfao ..it's ironic that is exactly what fuels me to go hard at the gym and continue to lose weight

It's what makes us human, no shame in that! But after tonight I'm thinking of going to the gym much later as the people at my gym are starting to treat me like a serial killer. I try to think happy thoughts, but to no avail. :(

what was the time frame from 215 to 164?
I wish I had a pic of me before the before pic. The before pic was after already losing 35 lbs. What do you guys think?
BENCH : 190
DL : 315
SQUAT : 225
*before serious lifting and dieting I had injured and dislocate both knees a few times in football.
*quit football as soon as my left knee had fractured from a dislocation and my mindset sort of went downhill from there.
CLIFFED STORY:
-Was always chubby entire life
-Injured knee in football early years of high-school
-Furthered my weight gain by not doing physical activities and ate like a pig
-Approximately 9 months ago fed up with my bulls*** lifestyle and bought a 2 year gym membership for cheap
-Started cutting calories and eating obvious healthy foods
-Few months after of losing steadily but got addicted to losing more started the Ketogenic Diet (water weight loss was drastic and sort of got me motivated even further)
-Did tons of cardio at the beginning and extremely novice lifting
-Started serious lifting few months ago with one of my friends
-Stopped doing much cardio and focused on lifting
-Can now Deadlift 3 plate max which I think is okay for being on a cut
-Still have more weight to lose before I go back on maintenance or maybe a bulk.

I wouldnt say im fit but lets just say I have lost weight and toned up a lil from what I used to be. Im happy with myself for sticking to it, if I continued to be how I was I would of being at least 17 stone! Im now weighting in at 14 stone and have myself a beautiful girlfriend! still wanting to be bigger & and more cut! will post progress in a few months if I dont forget.

There are a lot of great transformations in this thread, and the previous, but, dude, yours is my favorite. (no homo) I have printed out your picture and have copies on my iPhone and iPad. Since I saw this pic a week ago I've pulled it out when I'm driving towards McDonald's. Haven't turned into the parking lot yet and have been eating clean. This is total inspiration. Fantastic job, man. Do you have any in between pics like at 6 months, 12, 15, 18 etc...?
