Alright man, that's cool that you hit the gym, but you weren't fat in your before picture, if anything, you were "skinny fat", and it's easy to push a stomach out to make it look like a gut, which looks miss leading on your part, and i'm sorry if I'm mistaken, but your end result was that you became more toned... If your before pic had you at roughly 300 pounds, then i'd call your after impressive, but for what it is, not impressive. You need more muscle mass.
Curious myself. LMAO if you're talking about me. Now 300lbs is considered "skinny fat." I'd neg you if I thought you would be on this forum for more than a month before quitting.
Edit: Changed my mind. Negged. Lulz.

I don't blame you guys for thinking I was pushing my gut out. It certainly looks that way to me. All I can say is that I had absolutely terrible posture. Another thing; a person only sticks their gut out in before pics if they know they can get lean(I didn't) or if they have done this before and are trying to impress(I haven't and I'm not). If I feel like it, I'll post before and after face pics. Inb4 I get accused of somehow altering face pics.

Next time you call someone out for being "skinny fat," make sure they're not fat-fat.

No worries, man. It really DOES look that way though. Like there is a baby in there or something. LOL
Ok heres mine, i was really overweight and lacked confidence, before pic is 09, i didnt train til the start of 2010 but have no pics of the initial weightloss, after the weightloss though i got a girlfriend which felt amazing, fast forward to 2012 and we now have a baby together but during the pregnancy i slacked off a bit and gained roughly 14lbs, these pics are from the beginning of this year and i will update in this thread again in a few months as i have now started a bulk...
Before (09) at a car show with random 'models':

Somewhere mid 2011:

This year jan-march:

Edit:
From jan-march i've been doing IF, basically ive been eating my first meal on my lunch break at work (1pm) and my last meal at 7pm, in that 6 hour window i have cereal for the first meal, then a small meal inbetween (soup, tuna salad, single chicken breast or bowl of fresh fruit usually)...
After that i finish work at 4pm, head straight to the gym mon, tues, thurs, fri and do about 20mins cardio, then an hour on weights usually.
I then get home at 7pm and eat a larger meal, usually consisting of meat and vegetables, sometimes i throw in potatoes if i lack energy and need carbs (usually wednesday and friday)
Saturday and sunday i walk the dog for around an hour with my gf and the baby, and eat what i want within reason (ie no mcdonalds, KFC etc)
Double edit:
Starting weight on the fattest pics roughly 260lbs, weight right now 179lbs, i got down to 174 but now on a kind of mini bulk but i go on vacation in 6 weeks so i want to gain as little fat as possible so i'm aiming to be no more than 185 at the time, i will then get back into it properly
what is IF.
ive heard of if it fits your macros. whats IF though? same thing? great work btw.
Thanks for all of the props, guys. Six months ago I found the original Fat to Fit thread and promised myself that I would post here someday. For anyone who is struggling mentally; remember that you WILL get there. It's just a matter of time. This makes it a lot easier to enjoy the journey. Whenever you feel like quitting, remember that the only real alternative is to be fat. Losing a lot of weight will teach you things about yourself. Your mental fortitude is more robust than you think. Your body can handle more training than you think. Above all remember this; "You'll RUST out before you'll WEAR out!"
I honestly feel a little weird posting this kind of stuff since I'm still far from my goal body, but hopefully it will help! :)
great job man, and the words definitely are helpful, we all feel like that sometimes.

^this. Great results everyone! Was already stoked to go to the gym today bt that's just increased ten fold! I went from 100kgs/220lbs -> 78kgs/170lbs in about a year. Wish I had pictures of before. Might have some kicking about. But now I think I'm starting my big transformation. I'd like to be 73kgs, just the weight's coming off really slowly :-( well done everyone, motivating me to stay on track!

^^^This. :) It's always nice to hear. Definitely shaved off some years(and a beard). I thought it was the beard that made me look old in that pic so I grew it back. Turns out that wasn't it. Lean face+beard=winning. LOL.

Hey guys I started in January at about 198... I had a goal of 160 by March 31st and beat it by 2lbs... down to 158...
Im going to a friends wedding in Jamaica on April 18th so I wanted to look good not fat!
Im no where near where I want to be but its a long road and a hard process!
I actually have always been a skinny kid, I got married at 22 and only weighed 135 at 5' 7"!!!
I attached a picture so you can see how I started out!
Marriage, desk job and kids 9 years later will add some poundage !!!LOL
-
Thanks for this thread.
I'm over 300 lbs. Probably 310. And my biggest fear is loose skin and my chest not looking tight.
Well can't keep putting this off. I'll just worry about what to do with that as soon as I get there.
Starting back again. For good this time.

Some really inspiring pics posted! great work everyone

I wasn't going to post my photos until I actually got closer to where I wanted to be, but what the hell? These are side by sides taken exactly one year apart 2011/2012. Photos were taken on Valentine's Day, and I've made more progress since then, including running my first 5K. At my heaviest I was 378 pounds, don't even want to try and find a picture from when I was that big! But in the before I was somewhere around 350lbs, right now I'm around 275, and just now getting back into the gym. All the weight loss was from diet and cardio.

So have not been around in a while but figured I would post up some pictures from my start to where I am now. Started just shy of 270 a bit over a year ago I now sit around the 190 mark most days. I still have a ways to go but I am getting there and still smashing it hard at the gym and working on cutting slowly but surely.
