Great job. Congrats! Real inspiration.
This was a bit before I started my transformation. The before is from 10/23/2011 I was the same maybe lighter when I started at 317 on February 26th 2012. The other is a picture from last night. Hope this helps motivate others as pictures in here motivated me during my transformation.

Woo its crazy how much your face changed. You should think about shaving all your facial hair so you get that clean more defined look.

Funny you mention that I did shave my entire face maybe 2 weeks ago but makes me look soooo young. With my hair short the grey hair isn't that visible and I guess under the facial hair I have a baby face.

Hard to believe those are the same dude.
This thread is insane...
You all are so inspirational. Seeing real results and real timelines make me so excited and interested in doing it myself.
The infomercials and junk on TV that show these insane results in 3 months were never realistic to me and if I didn't start seeing those kind of results I would get discouraged and quit. I started doing diet pills (horrible business that was) but lost 35 pounds. Got down to 179 but was still very squishy. Got discouraged, went back to 215. I'm now down to 205 doing it with weights and a small deficit in calories and it just feels so much better. Would love to hit that same 180 but have my BF go lower.
I have before pictures, I hope to be posting a "during" picture here in a month or so.
Keep it up everyone, you inspire me and many others I'm sure.
Just finished my first transformation. Pics turned out great.

The power of cleaning up your diet. Started Jan 1 to April 1 eating clean.
Here's me:
Down to 170lbs now (13% BF), best of 165lbs (10%BF) with a goal of 162lbs (7-8% BF) from 210lbs 13 months ago.
Chest size down from 44' to 38'
Waist size down from 36' to 30'
Actually grew a bit (Might just be from stretching my body more and strengthening my back/shoulders improving my posture) to put me at 6'0" even.
Body comparison is 170lbs (13% BF) vs 190 lbs (20% BF)
Face comparison is 165 lbs (10% BF) vs 210 lbs (30% BF)
Let me know what you guys think!

How did you do that in 3 months? That's an amazing good job What was your routine like?
I used to be 230 + Lb and now I'm 157! I need to be 140 though! Can anyone give me some good advice on how to get cuts, abs etc? I don't wanna bulk up though !
The first and last are pics of how I used to look and the ones in the middle are of how I look now. The redness on my face is a skin reaction I got from shaving !

do you have a diet plan?
do you have a diet plan?
Yes, although it's fairly simple.
I eat 1200-1300 calories one day, and a maximum of 500 the other.
It's mostly roasted or smoked chicken, and plenty of vegetables (i.e. cabbage, tomatoes, cucumbers to be precise), some fruit. Lots of water and plenty of green tea.

It is also why there is no real definition there....... LACK of micro nutrients.... 500 cal one day killed the chance of that....
But well done for the persistence if weight loss was all you wanted to do buddy....

Advice you want for cut etc??? Eat properly mate.
Because of the persistant eating 500 calories in a day you have made your body undernourished and it has scourced its main fuel from your muscles before the fat..... Hence no cuts, abs etc

Thanks bro. I'm going to start eating well.
Though what I need to know is, does my body require any more weight loss?

Mind blown - facial aesthetics gone from 2,7/10 to legit 8,7/10 NO HOMO. What was your diet?

Not necessarily weight loss..... Its a big subject mate... You can maintain the weight you are and still drop fat... or you can drop fat and drop weight ... Balls in your court matey.... We all have abs dude.... Its whether your diets in check to be able to see them..... You can do situps n leg raises till your 50 years old but you aint gonna see them cos they as well as (cuts) you mentioned are produced in the kitchen... Not the gym.
From FAT to Fit. All these pics are giving me more reason to continue!!!
Here are my before & after pictures from about 1 year of lifting weights. :)
I know it's not a huge transformation, but it still made me happy.

Thanks a lot man. I'll try to recount what I did, but it wasn't anything set in stone. Just motivation, persistence and a new mindset:
I calorie counted (not necessarily eating the best food in the world, I just made sure I didn't have more than 2000 kcal/day) and ran/played soccer to drop from 210 to 180 (I didn't have a workout plan or anything and honestly I wish I had one so I could have retained more muscle). This drop took about 4-5 months.
At 180 I found out about how Macro nutrients work (yeah I was a noob) and started doing a body-weight lifting regiment & running 5 days/week. I maintained 1750-2000 kcal/day while still hitting 1 g protein/lbs of body weight (added in protein shakes as regular part of my diet though replacing lunch or breakfast with one and then another after workout). I did this to 170, this took about 2-3 months.
For the drop from 170 to 165 I filtered out some carbs from my diet (I'm a fan of carbs so I was having too many), ran more and maintained my lifts. I started taking high protein/low calorie/low carb meal replacement shakes because my class schedule didn't allow me the time to cook my first 3 meals of the day and they help me hit my macros. I would make 3 shakes the night before and drink them throughout the day, (~800 kcal), then would eat either steak, chicken, or fish with a vegetable and a small portion of some complex carb (~700-850 kcal depending on the selection). Then workout/run and a protein shake afterwords (120 kcal). For a round total of 1650-1800 kcal/day until I hit my goal.
I got lazy with my calorie counting and gained back to 175, but because I was eating a pretty clean, high protein diet I gained a decent amount of muscle. I've been back on the last phase of my diet to get back to 170 and now I'm going for 162 lbs to be really lean.

Thanks man, Im still a work in progress. Any tips for stretch marks or extra skin
I've been following this thread for about two years now and I'm nowhere near my goal, but I figured I'd post my progress up to now. I gained about 100 lbs when I started law school back in 2009 and went from 180 to 295 in 2010. I decided something had to change so started going to the gym and eating much better in July 2011. I have had ups and downs, but the trend has been downward and today I'm at 202 lbs. I continue to lift heavy weights 3x a week and do cardio 3-4x a week. I do my best to keep my diet as clean as possible, especially lately. I eat mostly lean meat, brown rice, black beans, and veggies, greek yogurt, etc. Try to keep my macros 40/40/20 and cals at 1500/day. I eat out 2-3x a week and lately have been keeping those meals as healthy as possible. My goal is to get down to 175 and see what I look like. Trying to lose the fat while maintaining/gaining muscle...tough stuff. Anyway, here are my progress photos (didn't take my first one until I was down to 267 lbs). Comments and advice are welcome!
I have lurked here for a very long time.....Finally got in gear and hit the gym; here is my progress from Jan 2013 to today.
I still have a VERY long way to go.
Really Old pic was about 290lb, from over the summer.
Start pic was around 260lb, from when I started lifting weights in January.
I have not seen a huge change in the scale to current, but my body comp has changed alot since I started lifting heavy weights.
solid as fuuuuuck!
thanks
Started at 335 pounds, got down to 185 pounds. Currently bulking back up. Right now i'm about 206 pounds. When I hit around 215/220 pounds going to cut down again to single digit body fat!!
