both great! Well done lads!
this thread is amazing, I respect and admire the discipline and hard work that's so clearly paid off
for now, while I begin my own transformation, I use this place as a motivator, for those time when I think up an excuse to go home, instead of the gym
thank you everyone
Really motivating to see all of this. Amazing work everyone.
Here is my 4 month transformation, I Still have a ways to go to reach my goal of 180 pounds 8-10% body fat but I have progressed well thus far. Keep fighting everyone and don't let yourself accept who you are right now when you can be better. No matter what your genetics is you can achieve any body you want, but no one side it would be easy. Remember... the best supplement we have is our mind.
If it were easy everyone would do it right? Well, I started the Palumbo diet July 18th, and I have been on it since. It's been working for me and I feel like the improvements are fantastic. I just took these shots yesterday. I know I have plenty of work left to do, but things are coming along. Before pic (suit pic) at 370 (this was a few years ago at my peak weight), the back shot I was 310(this was July 18th 2011).... currently 234....
Hey everyone, two years ago I was at my heaviest 320 pounds...I never thought that I would be able to lose the weight, I tried the low carb diet would lose 10 pounds and gain it back a month later, several times. I would try exercise but would lose motivation quickly after not losing weight fast enough. Then I came across this fat to fit forum and all the pictures inspired me and showed me that it really was attainable. Something in my head just switched and I decided I was going to lose the weight. Another site that really helped me out was mrlowbodyfat .com, Muata (the blogger on that site) lost over 100 pounds and detailed how he did it and I learned a lot from that. So on my own I went from 320 down to 290 then at 290 I started weight watchers and that tought me portion control, stopped going to meetings but kept the information I learned with me. Now I basically try and eat healthy and try and eat about 1,000 calories a day and do an hour and a half of cardio 30 min on treadmill one hour on elliptical machine.. 3 -4 days a week. I am not at my goal yet I need to loose another 40-50 pounds then I want to bulk... I still have a lot to learn about bulking, cutting and nutrition. Also when I got down to 290 pounds I started charting the scale and you can see my weight loss wasn't consistent, but I always stayed motivated and didn't drift too far away from my weight loss goals so that kept me on track..

Hey man, my calorie intake is around 2100 a day but I train weights 5 days a week and implement HIIT running 3 maybe 4 days a week. I usually do like 50-60%protein, 25-30%carbs, 20-25%fats. Instead of keeping my carbs extremely low I just stay away from simple carbs. I stick with like whole grain oats, Ezekiel bread, and sweet potatoes usually. And for fats I stick with mono and poly unsaturated fats. I usually go to sprouts and get the natural almond butter and I snack on roasted I salted cashews from sprouts as well. Other then that a normal day will usual go like 2-3 whole eggs along with 2-3 egg whites scrambled and a bowl of oatmeal with some frozen fruit ie blueberries or strawberries. Then lunch and dinner I stick with 8 ounces of any lean meat usually chicken breast, fish, or the lean ground beef or ground turkey. And I eat like 2-3 servings of baby spinach and 2 slices of Ezekiel bread or a sweet potato with my lunch and then dinner ill eat like any green veggie usually broccoli, spinach, or asparagus, or even the frozen veggie bags from Walmart. And I don't eat carbs for dinner. Only other thing besides that is on intense weight work days ill reward myself with a post workout shake containing frozen blueberries and strawberries, half a banana, some plain Greek yogurt, flax seed grains, and coconut milk and it tastes amazing. I hope this helped some I'm still learning as well!

Results, on the scale or in the mirror. I had a strong mental picture of how I want to look, and that has always kept me going. I don't ever want to be fat again, the amount of energy I have now is incredible, and the feeling of pride I get when I look in the mirror.....

First pic was around the middle of March '11. Was at around 308 that day. Decided I was tired of being flabby and went out and got a gym membership to the local Anytime Fitness. Took me a few weeks to get into it but I got into the rhythm and love it now.

Soon I am going to do an initial shirt off pic and see where I come out in 2-3 months. Shirt off is something I've never really been confident doing, but that is all about to change!
Keep up the amazing work everybody!!

mate.
when that piece of lead touched the paper for the first time.... Rome was the beginning of a masterpiece.
read up on ketosis for a good place to start at that weight.
train 4-5 times a week for about 50 min each time.. record every morning for a month the scale reading.
dont cheat. do eat. n train that meat. and you will accomplish your feat.....
all my pics removed from my bodyspace.... but trust me..... been there..... it works

thank you very much. What's the purpose of reading the scale for a month? To see if I should adjust calories? Any idea on how Much calories I should be eating? I was eating around 1800 but I just wasn't feeling the push in the gym. Should I up them?
thank you very much. What's the purpose of reading the scale for a month? To see if I should adjust calories? Any idea on how Much calories I should be eating? I was eating around 1800 but I just wasn't feeling the push in the gym. Should I up them?
at the start mate just write down your morning weight ... its drastic i know... ( i went to the market on the way to the gym and for 30 pence they weighed me on a pro scale and stamped the ticket with weight and date on...) i kept them and was amazed when put the flat and seen the gradual loss....
anything to keep you motivated....
later on you will not use scales but visual...... definition... triceps showing through etc....
in ketosis for the first 4 weeks solid... (buy some ketostix) your fat will literally fall off your body....... Keep your protien to 1-1.1g per lb of bodyweight.... so if your 200lb and 25% bodyfat then adjust to 150g of protien a day....
if your wondering about ya calories then just multiply your weight by 12.5-13 to drop weight weekly....
eat clean.....
keep a myplate diary... or if like me and dont care about repetitiveness then eat the same every day.... (easier to track...)
dont think cardio is a huge weight dropper..... It helps but isnt needed..... (search for larrys mojo on here and look at what no cardio can do)
your body is made in the kitchen buddy....
The gym is where you damage ur tissues.
Rest is where its repaired....
i aint no master. but what i do know is that there are loads of people out there who all started somewhere and it was the outstanding motivation of this thread that has built some of us into changing our lifestyles and health for the better......
any help you need mate just drop me a mail.... i will try my best to help....

awesome thanks a lot bro. Should I multiply with my lean weight? I don't know it but I'm guessing around 30%
awesome thanks a lot bro. Should I multiply with my lean weight? I don't know it but I'm guessing around 30%
just multiply your actual weight you are now.....
adjust your intake as you lose weight.... so every week you should be reducing your intake accordingly... keep carbs to a minimum ant night and try and eat every 3 hours. small easy clean meals.... speed up that metabolism....
