Long time lurker here. This place showed me it was possible. This is my progress for losing 100 lbs, from 330 to 230. It's taken me 2 1/2 years, but I'm so much better off than before. Thanks guys.

Hey Hey. Everyone is doing a really awesome job in here with the big gains and the even bigger fat losses. I just wanted to share a preview of what I have done so far. I am currently working on getting shredded and this is from when I started Mid July 2011 up to mid May 2012. I will be posting some before and after pictures of my 90 day transformation once that's complete but for now this is just a preview. I know the pictures arent good for seeing all my muscle definition but I will be posting some better ones in about 2 months.

to be honest I hate cutting every time I do all my lifts go to **** and i lose motivation / drive. Overall goal is 230lbs and low teen body fat / healthier

I jumped on the scale back in late April 2010 and saw a disgusting # (369lbs) and decided to make a change. During my first cut I stayed on a very strict Keto diet (nothing but water, low carbs, and ZERO sweets), with lots of cardio (1hr per day 7 days per week), and a little weight training (push, pull, legs) program for exactly a year. I dropped a little over 100lbs in this time frame. I then decided to bulk and add some heavy ass weight training to my program. With this being my first bulk and not really having a clue WTF I was doing it turned into a dirty bulk (245lbs-275lbs). During my second cut I cut back down to 240lbs (give or take) then bulked back up to 267lbs(<-<<< my current weight). My new goal is to cut down to 210-220 and then clean bulk to 230-240 and stay at that weight and try and get my BF in the low teens 13-15%.

I'm hoping at 6'3" (barefooted) 240lbs with low teen BF will give me that BEAST MODE status

I was planning on continuing to take progress pictures and posting at the end of the year. However, I figure about half way is close enough. ;)
The before pictures are the worst shape I was ever in. In 2011 I had to endure 3 surgeries and was unable to lift weights, run or do anything physically active which as you can see, made me gain some weight. However January 2, 2012 I was cleared by the doctors and began my goal of reaching 200 lbs. Although I am not there yet, by mid-July I should have achieved my goal.
Here is the progress so far. 260 lbs -----> 214 lbs
When do you think I will see abs?

I just found this thread, great idea. Im going to try to track my progress on this site too. I started last november at 325lbs, Im down to 215 now. Im going to try to gain some lean muscle mass to try and boost my metabolism and fat loss. All Ive done is cut all dining out, drink a gallon of water a day, and i eat crockpot beans 3x a week, so I need muscle on my frame pretty badly. I will post pics when i get home if i can.

How much weight have you lost in what time frame?
Above all else make sure you diet is in check, this is the most important thing in terms of weight loss.

Thanks man! I follow Iron Addict's Simple Power Based Routine which can be found here -> [url]http://www.ironaddicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8050[/url] This program has provided me with tremendous strength gains in a very short amount of time. As far as cardio is concerned I run 3-4 times/week 2.5 miles each time whenever I can find time to do so.
In terms of diet I stick to a 2,000 calorie/day and I attempt to get .8 grams of protein/pound of body weight. Other than that I eat what I want when I want and it has worked very well for several months now. My lifts have continuously been increasing all the while I have been losing weight so I like to think I have put on or at least maintained most of my muscle mass while losing 46 lbs.
I also take a multivitamin and fish oil each day.
This is what I have been doing since January 1st and it has been working very well for me. :)

I was as high as 245lbs... not sure exactly in that picture but I imagine not far off that mark.

I think i'm just being overly eager by looking at the pics lol. I've gone from 227 last September to 180 as of my weigh in this morning. It's my own fault though since when I started I had no clue what I was doing and tried to do it without any research. I hit a plateau around 195 ish and found out it was because I wasn't eating nearly enough from doing a little checking online. Found the my fitness pal app and have lost 15 pounds since. I'm on a pretty good pace I just want the pace to be faster..but without starving myself lol. Realistically though i'm about where I should be. Actually went from 184 to 180 in a little over a week with only a ~500 cal deficit.

I don't know if you guys noticed.... but having to become "fat to fit" is much more difficult than "skinny to mass". Unlike people who are already thin, all they have to do is bulk up. People who come from a bigger figure, need to go through all that losing fat first, then building muscle, and the list goes on. I feel all your struggle and kudos to every single one of you!
