Hello everyone, this is my first post.
Here is my transformation in 1 and a half year, I was always fat/big boy, I lost a lot of weight and gained some muscle, my biggest problem was belly and still is but I am working on it. Body is not only thing that changed, I changed way of life, habits and intersting part is that I didn't strictly follow any programs nor visited gym (cause I couldn't),I got few stuff in house and I was reading a lot about this topic.
-
I guess it's time for my 1 year update. one year ago I joined a gym & this site & haven't looked back. Since joining I've gone through 8 months of cutting & 4 of bulking/recomping. I've lost a total of 60lbs & about 13% body fat. Which would mean of the 60lbs lost somewhere around 55lbs of that was fat. I'm pushing even harder now to see If I can have visible abs by next summer.
Loose skin/belly fat is a bish though!! :(
Picture on the right was taken yesterday.
Newbie here. Just wanted to share my results from eating Paleo. There may be those that think it sacrifices muscle and mass and all that good stuff. But that hasn't been the case in my experience! 2 years on and going strong! I cheat once per week with a single meal and every now and then I'll have some peanut butter, cuz I'm crazy like that!!!
Nice work. The change in your face is remarkable.

Good job. Can I just ask what sort of routine you did to drop the weight in that space of time?
I am 6ft 364lbs. I am am now into my second week of attempting to get down into the low 200lbs. At the moment i am eating at a calorie deficit and am working out with weights and some cardio every day. I will be upping my cardio from this weekend when I join the gym.

To be honest, i strictly did Power 90, while eating around 1800 calories-2200 per day. I would work out 6 days a week, and i didn't have one cheat meal the entire time. I had also quit drinking. During holiday's i would portion control by using a tiny plate. After i had lost the first 60 pounds extremely quickly, probably within the first 45-60 days, i had switched to P90X - Keep in mind at this point i went from not being able to do even do a pushup from my knee's, to a few pushups. By the end of the 7 Months i could do about 60-70 pushups at once, and 12-15 chinups. This was the most exciting part for me! I am not saying P90 or P90X is the only solution, or even the best solution, but for someone with no previous workout experience other than hockey when i was younger, it was very easy for me to watch a DVD and follow someone telling me what to do for an hour each day, 6 days a week. Hope this gives you a little better insight.
Also, once i got into my second round of P90x, i removed a cardio day and added another push/pull routine. I also started intermittent fasting (sort of by accident) - this was huge in terms of getting past some of my final plateaus.

I love this thread, I used to lurk on it before I had an account. Good job to everyone, and one day I'm going to make it!

hey man nice cut. Can you go into more detail? How much cardio a day? What kind of weight routine? What macro breakdown and calorie count?
Whats up guys and gals!! Thought I would post this in a effort to maybe motivate someone who thinks they cant. 2 years ago i was 370lbs, pre diabetic, borderline high blood pressure, tired, sore and depressed. I finally had my epiphany when the doctor asked if i wanted an insulin pump or vials in the fridge, thats when the excuses stopped and the hard work began. Since then, I've cleaned up my diet, started counting macros and started lifting heavy and I'm loving every minute of it. Please feel free to critique, I want to be down about another 30lbs before I'm happy.
nicely done man. keep it up

First pic is from August 1st 2014, 2nd to October 1st 2015. I've tried staying consistent with my diet and little exercise because I have been scared if I lose it too fast I will have excess skin. I am closer to goal weight now more than ever but I still have a ways to go. Also its the same bathroom I just flipped the picture because the photos were taken differently.

My heaviest was over 440+, my house scale couldnt go higher than that LOL.
The last pic is me on the left, struggling to walk through epcot theme park in disney in 2011. on the right, is me hiking in iceland in July of 2015.
Still lifting, still eating consciously, but also allowing myself to enjoy foods and drinks.

Great job Moe. Were you ~230lbs your whole adult life before you lost that 50lbs in 5 months? Or have you been cutting for longer?
What's the last 5 months been like diet/exercise wise? i'm guessing very strict and intense!

Well, when I was 17 or so I originally made the change. That picture, I wasn't at my biggest (likely 300ish). I had a Bod Pod reading when I was 16 at a place I was training at in the football off-season. I remember it well, 345lbs 45% BF.
Anyways, trying to keep this short, found BB.com, began eating healthy, lifting, and lost about 150lbs over course of a year. I sat at 195-215lbs probably 14-16% BF until 20 or so.
From about 20 onward, I got bad with alcohol and eventually much harder drugs. Essentially spiraled out of control, self-destructive idiot moves, no one to blame but myself. I fluctuated anywhere from 230-260 over those 6-7 years.
Well, finally woke up this past January, cleaned up, all that. Knew I should find something to help keep me occupied, and push for so I went back to fitness. I dieted for about a month was 240 or so.
Well because of my past idiocy, no license, and my current living situation is total chit (no space), so couldn't invest in a home gym.
But was determined to hit the 10% BF Mark. I'd tried in the past but always gotten frustrated and given up. I found a full-body bodyweight workout, bought a pull-up bar, and some resistance bands. Just stuck with it, kept pushing, and those were my results thus far.
Diet, lowish carbs. Been strict, but I don't mind eating clean rather enjoy it thankfully. I still have a big cheat meal every Saturday, as well as a few other treats sprinkled in that day. Primarily sweets, which is strange cause I have never craved sweets in the past fried foods were my weakness but oh well lol. Protein sources are boneless skinless chicken breast, cod, tuna steaks, canned tuna, whole eggs, egg whites, low fat cottage cheese, whey.
I honestly somehow fell ass backwards into eating at like the perfect amount of calories. Hardly had to make any adjustments when I got really serious about 2 months in.
But anyways, moral of the story, no matter how bad things can get you can always pull yourself out. A lot of people get nervous or are apprehensive sharing things like this but it doesn't bother me. If my story helps one person well worth it. For perspective, this was me about 2 weeks before I cleaned up in January...
