Huge improvement! Nice job man. +REP
About 1 1/2 year of work or so
Hey guys I'm back. As promised keeping everyone updated on my progress. Happy to say I'm nearing the end of my fat loss goals and will be clean bulking this winter with the hopes of putting on some lean mass!
Here are some photos.
Before:221 lbs-mid February 2013
Current:165-August 2013
This is my first post. I started my transformation mid March. In March I was 230 pounds. I recently was down to about 165 pounds, but wasn't feeling too good at that weight (now I'm 175 pounds). I didn't plan on transforming, just got back in the gym for first time in 13 years and got hooked. I still have a ways to go, but here's my update. Thanks to all that have posted previously and inspired me throughout, even though I never posted.
Love all the transformations! Here's mine guys. Started losing weight in 2007 and just now started lifting for real the past couple months. Everyone keep up the good work!
Started at 283, now at 181.
Great Job to everyone, the hard work is paying off.
I was 249 pounds on April 16th, 2013. 3.5 months later, I am down 35 pounds to 214. My profile picture is a before/after side by side (since I don't believe I can post images yet). I am about half way to my goal.
Great work, Owlyx!
Just continue :) I need a test myself to get an accurate fat percentage :)

Phenomenal job! Care to share about what you did?
Is this a descent progress in 8 months? I know i know my shirt is on but it was just a pic I snapped at the gym tonight.
Before i was 250lbs+ now i'm a stronger 227lbs. I'm working on a complete transformation. 6 times at the gym during the week; 5 day split, half hour cardio a day, carbs and protein galore.
Thank you.

Looks like a great job to me!
I'm trying to do the same, but I'm a long ways from an after picture yet.

Excellent work, what was your weight at the start dude?
Excellent work, what was your weight at the start dude?
Didn't weigh myself at the start but may last year I was 127.7 would have lost at least 10kg I reckon from 1/12.
Two long years of working my ASS off! Went from 300 to 215. Its all worth it boys and girls, I promise! If you want something bad enough, go ****ing get it! Still don't have the body I want and I have left over fat/loose skin I need to try to get rid of, hopefully it fills out with a clean bulk. Feel free to ask questions/make suggestions and keep lifting!

wow thats amazing.. how much weight did you lose
In, will be posting here in a few months!
First of all I like to give my congrats to all you guys who have worked so hard to transform their bodies :)
When I reached 189 Ibs I decided enough was enough and went on a high protein / low far diet that day. After 3 months, I started hitting the weights (last time I was lifting was 25 years ago, I looked good then and had abs, but my life got busy and stopped training and got fat).
Here is a pic, but its not from day one as I just didn't want to see my fat body at that point (now, kinda wish I had a pic though). The first pic is after I had lost about 10 Ibs.
Hey everyone, for starters I wanted to congratulate everyone who has taken the time to change for the better and transform not just their bodies but their lives as well. I also know what it is like to make this kind of change. I started off at 360lbs and am now at 220lbs and still dropping. I will soon post pictures.
I wanted to know if there was anyone in the Miami or South Florida area, who would like to participate in an inspirational and motivational documentary about transforming from Fat to Fit.
I am also a graduate from Full Sail University with a Bachelors of Science in Film and I am in the process of putting together this documentary, which will include myself and my journey in the transformation process. I am looking for a few other people who would love to take part in this project and who are conscious that it is solemnly inspirational and motivational.
The process, the change, the desire and the journey is so important to me that I wanted to show others much like some of you have also already done, that transforming your body and changing your life is possible.
If you're interested please don't hesitate to contact me via message right here on bodybuilding.com or you can reach out to my personal email as well oeandrade@gmail.com.
I hope to hear from some of you soon and keep up the amazing progresses everyone!
Cheers!!!!!
Does anyone have any advice on where to start? Like what foods, calories and workouts? Sorry if I posted in the wrong place, but this thread has gave me great motivation to transform.

Start with the simple, obvious stuff: no cakes, pies, super-high carb meals (i.e. pasta, mac&cheese, bread), and soda.
Started December 1st at 285 pounds... heaviest i have ever been... jumped on the scale and said i need a change... weight my self this morning after a a 9 months of diet and exercise down to 236.4.... have added 100lbs to my bench:) looking to get to under 200 but we will see how it goes ... hasnt been easy... one of my side goals is to ride 1000 miles on the exercise bike...currently at 624 miles
I cut out cola, cake and choc bars and ate 5 times a day. I ate mostly (still do for that matter) chicken, tuna, lean ham or other meats, almonds, cashews, yogurt, cottage cheese and low fat milk. Basically a low fat & high protein diet.
Good luck

Why? Do you plan on abstaining from all of your foods for the rest of your life? If not, you are setting yourself for one pretty epic overeating period.
"Start with the simple, obvious stuff: no cakes, pies, super-high carb meals (i.e. pasta, mac&cheese, bread), and soda."
Not simple or obvious; those foods have energy like all other foods and they can have a place in your diet (whether you're bulking, cutting, or maintaining) if you so choose.

Start with heading over to the losing fat section and read the stickies there. They will give you all the basics you need for a safe and efficient fat loss. Next head over to the workout program section and look up Starting Strength, Beginners all pro, Ice Cream Fitness 5x5 etc. they are great and efficient full body workouts 3x a week for a beginner (first year of training).
I've posted here in the past, just checking in with newest progress pic. Great job everyone.

Left pic is about 4 years ago after I lost the initial 100 lbs, right is yesterday.
Wow you guys are awesome. I'm nowhere near the losses and gains you guys had, but eventually I'll get there, and muster up the courage to post here too. mad props guys, keep it up.
