35 brother. Will make the video today.. honestly, could've done 40 +.. but I had a big meal prior to my ride... 8.5lbs of pancakes is still pretty solid for me. Couldn't imagine doing what you did though.. haha.
Will watch video soon once I finish listening to around the horn podcasts
not sure if srs...
is it not? you are binging on "eating comps" like once a week or more lately
-
Erik
Do you really see yourself making a living of eating competitions? Srs Question.

Say that to furious pete and all of the other pro-eaters.

Hardly ideal..
Not sure why I get so much hate on these boards, haha.
-
It's not that you get hate but coming from the perspective of someone who has dealt with an eating disorder, it raises the question if you aren't just swapping one for the other. And don't take this the wrong way either, only saying it because I care.

Stonie made over 40,000$
Chestnut around 50,000$
Sure its fun.. but again its just something you do
Coming from the ED Background as Health said, may lead to believe there may be a binge/restriction cycle (which may lead back to where you came from and your past) which may raise an eyebrow to some.
either way very impressive work.

Anyways, I covered it pretty well in my video. I felt like making that one because of the fact that I've gotten a bunch of emails, and messages from people saying the same thing. I'm completely open to what others have to say, and I'm sure furious pete gets the same exact stuff from people that are aware of his ED background. Quite frankly, I couldn't care less about what others think. It's all about the MINDSET surrounding food and big meals. A year - two years ago I would've cried if you put a meal like this in front of me, thought it would make me blow up into my "old self".. but those days are behind me, coming to the realization that I enjoy food, I enjoy eating Big, and realizing that none of these meals will "make or break" me in the long run is what matters most.
I like to eat, I like to train, I like to see results and this is what I do. You don't like it, you think that it's bad for me, you think I'm going from one extreme to another? That's completely your opinion, and view.. a bunch of people (I'd assume the majority of people/americans) view people that are competitive eaters as "binge eaters". But that's just peoples opinions.. nothing I can do to change that.
My 0.02$ :)

I'd agree but I can't comment
I haven't come from anorexia etc.
I do them for fun and entertainment of friends etc. That's why I do NO prep at all. I still eat meals before them just like normal (I.e eating 150g of oats and PB 2 hours before my last steak challenge)

Only looking out for you. :)

I genuinely care Erik. You keep comparing yourself to furious Pete but he's not a 110lb male. While you have gained some weight you are still very underweight ad look sickly. You are engaging in a very unhealthy relationship with food all or nothing. You show no signs of normal eating.
-
On another note...
5lbs burrito conquered in 20min22s. Picture and video will be up tomorrow...feel like absolute death now. Not going to do another food challenge in a long while, if not ever

For one, you don't live my life. You don't see what I consume on a 24/7 basis, and for once in my life. I'm actually quite satisfied with the way I live, and couldn't be happier. And no, I don't "keep comparing myself to furious pete". People say that themselves, not me. The fact that you think that I'm "still very underweight" clearly shows some signs of early dementia on your part, I'm actually worried about YOUR mental health and stability. :)

Sandbar Grill 5lbs Burrito Challenge

Followed Randy Santel's food challenge prep advice for this challenge, and had my max out veggie meal around 22 hours before the challenge (although I did eat some meat too cause I couldn't resist lol). Went to the gym during the morning of the day of the challenge too to further stimulate some hunger.
Did the challenge with a good friend of mine, and we were both excited and feeling good coming into the restaurant...until they brought out the burrito. Holy crap pictures do not do the burrito justice, it was just MASSIVE.
Our plan was to just eat as fast as possible and try to clear it before the food wall hit. I got real dirty with it and just used my bare hands for the most part. Everything was very easy to swallow, which was a good thing about this challenge.
My friend ended up beating the record with a time of 7:45. He is absolutely insane.
Meanwhile, I hit the food wall at roughly 19 minutes in, but by then I only had a few spoonfuls of beans and tortilla left, so I had it locked in. Finished the challenge in 20:22, which is also well below the 1 hour limit.
Because we finished the challenge so fast, the manager gave us the burritos for free, and we got our names up on the wall of fame.
All in all, very fun experience. However, I probably won't do another food challenge for a long while, if not ever. The absolute pain and agony I was in for the next 6 hours was unbearable, and I am unable to describe that feeling in words. To be honest, the pain outweighed the triumph lol. Still, it's interesting to know that I can actually stomach 5 lbs of food.

In terms of "bodybuilding standards" people will always say that I'm "underweight" until I'm 200+lbs I guess. *shrugs* no phucks really given.
This. Bro do you really think you're at a good weight?
First of all, you REALLY know how to derail a thread.
TBH I really don't care about your opinion. You've been saying this same thing to me for the past year-year and a half.. despite how far I've come. What do you think I've been doing for the past year-year and a half?
-
less banter about underweight people..more food challenges.
had a funny story happen today was in the San Francisco Japan town found a little hole in the wall had a sign for all you can eat sushi....me and the g/f went in....after eating about a rough total of 10 full rolls and still hungry...old lady came out and said to me in bad broken english "you skinny, u go get fat elsewhere!" essentially kicking me out...hahaha

there are tons of AYCE sushi places in the Bay Area California, just alot of asians in general in the area. haha this makes me think I remember when I lived up in Idaho went to the ONLY sushi resturaunt in boise at the time and saw only white men working there and making the sushi, said no thanks and left...Best part of all of this is the AYCE is anywhere from 10-15$/person

Sounds like the only good solution is to move to Cali, but all the cheap good food and challenges here you could get fat easy.
