I took on and defeated the Steakosaurus challenge today for lunch! The challenge consisted of a 6.5 lbs steak sandwich filled with steak, cheese, and veggies. I ended up eating a large bowl of pho and some milkshake later on, since my dad got hungry around dinner time lol. Is it just me, or do we all never seen to get full?
I could go for a Big Philly now.

You're trolling with those pics, right? If not... flip them ahead of time man...
I ended up doing another pizza challenge today.....except this one was a solo challenge! I had to eat a 28" pizza in under 37 min and I ended up beating it in 20 min. For completing this challenge, I got a free shirt and $500! I'm definitely going to try something else besides pizza for my next challenge lol.

^ Wait huh? Did he do another one?
Nah, the good Muruku embedded them.
Found out pizza is a tougher beast than I thought and my stomach capacity isn't what I thought.
-
@jdrush
lol, i tried my best to embed only those in the right direction.
-
Thanks for embedding those!
Jdru: What did you end up doing for your pizza/stomach capacity training session? How much did you get down?
-
He probably already did/attempted it.
Pizza is pretty difficult. Most team challenges are easy, but solo challenges are tough.
-
I got two 18 inch pizzas from Costco and put down one and a half of them. Ended up being 5.5 pounds, I wanted to do it all because I wanted to do a team challenge with my brother in Ohio but that's a ten pound and I don't see him doing much more than 3.
I really shouldn't complain, it's 2 pounds better than the last home pizza challenge I tried and equivalent to a local pizza challenge.
-
^ The thing with that is that it won't necessarily translate well over into the actual challenge. too many variables to take into account..
- different bread
- different cheese/toppings
- density
- Different sauces
etc.
BUt props for trying my man!

I just did a practice run for the Nathan's qualifier coming up in two weeks....let's just say that I ran out of hot dogs before the ten minutes were up.

Solid attempt! If the pizza challenge that you're planning on doing doesn't cost that much, I'd say go for it! You might surprise yourself like you did with the pierogi challenge!

Thanks, I have some time. I'm narrowing down on what was messing with my stomach before so soon I can get into a training regime that will allow me to still drop some weight.
The pizza challenge here is around 6 pounds (I've heard 5 from the vendor), the only thing is it's New York style slices the size of my face and those are a pain to try and navigate.

Yeah, I've watched Erik's attempt at the big fat fatty before. He almost had it! He should definitely try it again at some point! When I get the chance to go out that way, I want to try it as well.

Soon.. soon. An absolutely DISGUSTING sandwich.

Essentially that's exactly what it was/is, lol.Just seeing them weigh it in the kitchen made me gag.
-
They start to lose their fun when it gets to that point of just piling chit on top of each other.
However at this point when you've already done every other challenge on the west coast, you really just run out of options.

Wanna try the steak and hot pizza.
Would like to try the 105 pound burger, but I need some work and more people.
I'll leave the fat fatty alone, I can make my own mess of food.

What did they do?
-
What did they do?
When we did the challenge together, she beat it in an astonishing 14 or so minutes.
They were just overall pretty rude and took over 6+ months to even get back to her with getting her sandwich named.

I decided to take on one more food challenge before the Nathan's qualifier next weekend! For this challenge, I had to eat three loaded jumbo hot dogs and a boatload of fries in under 30 min (7lbs total). I beat the challenge in 18 min and found out that I was the first person to beat it as well!
Erik: Have you ever considered competing in a Nathan's qualifier? I think you would have a very good shot at qualifying. It would be awesome if we both got to compete at Coney Island for the real deal!

I'm sorry, but there is no way that's a total of 7 lbs. I am not trying to take away from you at all and congrats for finishing.. But in my opinion that maybe totals 4-5 lbs!
-
That's what it said on Randy's website (food challenges.com) so I'm just going by that lol. It was a easy challenge though, 7lbs or not. They don't really get difficult until they get in the 10lbs+ range.

No sir, after competing in a few MLE events and seeing the way the politics are in that world. I will not be. I have better plans outside of the MLE. :)

^^ This.
But still looks like a fun challenge nonetheless. I think it'd be generous to say it was likely around 3-4.
Nice work!

Was never really interested in making a competition of it (unless with friends and family). I like to just eat as much as possible without making a mess of myself (Do that enough).

I understand where you're coming from. In fact, this upcoming qualifier will be my first contest. Up until this point, I've only done restaurant challenges.

The Highway 55 challenge here is easy enough to do, if I get a good enough time then I'll be invited to the yearly competition.
Maybe I'll do that and see how things go, would give me an idea at least to see where I stand.
I believe Molly holds the record though.

I find that there are a lot of kind people out there once you look past some things about them.
And any woman that is willing to eat like that has got to be somebody to hang out with.
