she does not have to like pie to make them for you :)
plus it saves you some cash you will need for traveling for upcoming competitions.

MY FIRST HOME CHALLENGE!
In just over a week, I will be competing in my first MLE contest. A pie eating competition.. tonight was just “prep work”. I gave myself one hour to eat as much pie as possible.
The prize:
Man that was rough..

Really was stoked to do my FIRST EVER food challenge at home! I was originally going to try/attempt to topple matt stonies current Chicken Mg nugget record (120). But I really thought about it, and figured I wouldn’t really enjoy that sort of challenge.. what’s one thing I’ve really always loved? PIE! And it made perfect sense, because I have my first ever MLE competition coming up in just over a week! And what better time to practice then today?
I ended up picking up two claim jumper pies (not the best), one store bout pumpkin pie, and one entire family sized pack of chicken pot pies. ALL OF THESE PIES COMBINED WEIGHED JUST OVER 8.5 POUNDS. That’s over 10,500 calories, 595g Fat, 1,152g carbs, 170g protein (lol), and 10,500mg of sodium. Pretty nuts! The amount of sugar in the peanut butter pie was so painful, peanut butter is by far one of my favorite things in this entire world to eat. But each spoonful was an overload, it was gnarly.
I would say that the best part about this challenge was the dutch apple pie with the crumble topping. It was a pain to have to thaw everything out and then bake it, but I got it plated up and going when I could! I started feeling the pain about 15 minutes in, and that’s when the sugar rush started hitting me. My biggest mistake was saving the peanut butter pie for LAST instead of tackling it first. It was undoubtedly the most dense and most rich pie.
This was tough, but VERY good training. I was able to get everything down in 64 minutes (just over an hour). NOW it’s time for next week!

^ Naader is such a cool dude, just spoke to him last night. Might have a head to head challenge planned with him soon!
I did a little prep challenge today; it did not go as I would have liked
Prep challengeReal challenge
1kg ground pork burgers (homemade)3 x 1lb burgers topped with cheese and BBQ Sauce
1.3 lbs of baked potatoes
topped with sriracha
Time limit of 20 mins: I got through the first burger in ~5:30, but the second burger made me want to throw up, slowly finished it in a total of 15:45, then took my time getting the potatoes down as I knew I wouldn't get the time
Overall the burgers were good considering I didn't put much effort into them so they are going to be a staple recipe (in smaller quantity) for daily life lol.

Erik; not sure how you mixed chicken pot pies in there; I couldn't tell did you at least start with them (i hope)
^ Yes, started with the first one and mixed them in between pies. Both for variety reasons and for temperature.
Gonna get one last practice run in before the weekend, stocked up on this at costco tonight.
Going for straight up speed this time!

Costco was a good choice. If you're going to eat a boatload of pie it might as well be good pie. Doesn't hurt that you can get a big one for dirt cheap, either.

Meh. It was still pretty steep 9.99 was quite a bit but oh well!

why not just buy some cans of pie fillings and frozen pie crusts if thats to expensive, also that 9.99 pie still prob twice the size of one you would get elsewhere.

It equates to the same price. (At least with prices at grocery stores around me).
And it's not a delicious tasting costco pie. heh
