If you're talking about the Bearwich, all I have to say is be prepared. It was very delicious though!

Jesus... do not want.
If I ever do an official challenge, it's going to be one that tastes great and doesn't burn my mouth off ;)
The "tasting good" part usually ends after ~5 minutes. Lol.

why eat so much garbage? cause its cheap?
on a side note outside of erik, (you dont count cause 10k is your normal breakfast) how many of you guys attempted the 10k calorie challenge? just curious and your thoughts.

Would be fun, but just have too much to do most days to eat that much; it leaves me feeling over-full and ill, lethargic.

Planned McDonalds Menu-
2 Fillet O' Fish- $5
1, 10 Piece Chicken Nuggets- $5
2 McDoubles- $5
2 Holiday Pies- $1
2 Sausage Egg Burritos- $1
3 Cookies- $1
1 Fry- ~$1.20
1 Large Coke- $1
Might switch something out for a sundae, not sure, trying to keep it simple since this would be the first 'challenge' type thing for me. More looking to have fun with it; 18:45 would be the time to beat. Planning to do this tomorrow hopefully.

I'm thinking about trying the Taco Bell one just for a T-Shirt.
I'm thinking about trying the Taco Bell one just for a T-Shirt.
Would almost prefer Taco Bell, but not sure I want to wait for a month or whatever until he puts that video out; also with how much Taco Bell has on their value menu you might get full fast, ~$20 in mostly tacos/burritos is filling, even with some nachos/cinnamon twists tossed in.
Also- Yup, I WANT that shirt.

I haven't explicitly attempted it as a 'challenge' (since I am trying to work through some orthorexia issues I have...) but in the past few weeks since I stopped tracking I know i've gotten at least fairly close on a few occasions... but that's simply eating 'want I want, when I want' and not over-stuffing, just eating to satisfaction.
That being said, I imagine there is a thin-line threshold between feeling 'OK' and then hitting the wall.

Did it once for my birthday. Got 11,500; it was fun but more work than it needed to be. Keep driving out to get more food, come up with variety, track the food, PAY for the dam food.
I may do it again just to see if I can get more.

You would know if you hit 10K, it's actually a lot harder than it seems.
You would know if you hit 10K, it's actually a lot harder than it seems.
You mean as opposed to 8k or 9k? I mean I imagine 10k is super hard, but how much harder than something within 1-3k of that mark would it be.. and i'm assuming you feel only solid food, no liquids.
I'm asking mainly because if you did make it to 11,500... i'm guessing it wasn't enjoyable, correct? I don't think i'd be interested in doing a calorie-count just to see if I could do it if hitting that number made me feel sick or make me really hate the idea of actually eating more.
That being said, because I know I'm a person who can eat a lot before getting past 'satisfied', i'm not really sure how much I'd need to eat in order to actually feel sick or 'hate' the food in front of me. Haven't done that before, I don't think.
The "hard" term will vary from person to person, most of these people that intentionally do these "10k challenges" simply choose the wrong foods.

By no means did I hate the food, I just couldn't go on.
And it did get significantly harder in the last few thousand calories.
However I didn't want to do it with a crap ton of donuts and cheese spreads that I see the other videos do, so I went with pizza, burgers, eggs, and what not. I did however have a big bowl of ice cream.
Didn't film it, just wanted to do it.

Yeah honestly the idea of just downing 12 donuts doesn't even sound good to me... if it were 10000 calories I'd probably just try to consume a bit of everything to fully enjoy the flavors. Too much of one thing, especially sweet things, would turn my stomach quickly.
Still though 11.5k is a big number

I only had two donuts; reeses donut and apple friter because I love those.
As I said it was fun, but honestly too much work. Would of rather just sat around playing video games and gone out to eat where I wanted and snacked when I wanted.

Yeah I would imagine so. Forcing yourself past a point just to hit a number would not be fun, I don't think.
If I weren't going through self-administered ED recovery steps right now, i'd be really, really curious to log what I've been eating in a day just to see what is comes out to, because I'm doing exactly what you said: eating what and where I want every single meal/snack/occasion... but i'm not sure how many calories it's working out to. I just know it's quite a bit.
Did it; beat Randy's time on the McDonald's challenge. I will upload/post the video tonight.... my tummy hurts; not full but man speed eating is not my thing haha.
