Don't count on beating his time.. but definitely think you have a chance! (provided that you handle starches well)
Looks EASILY doable.
Yeah the quantity in the full time allotted would be easy, the record may be a challenge; I do handle starches well too. If I do go for it I'll make sure to tape it but still not sure when I will, would have to set something up to get someone to film it.

Nice work, enjoy the free water prize
Well... there is one challenge near me I actually would like to try; may do so in a few weeks perhaps. Actually think I could beat this time, nothing too big and all foods I really enjoy (pancakes are great, along with eggs and meat).
/DQIa7PZfhas[/]
I've been debating about trying this challenge as well, since I'm an hr or so away I was thinking of using the 100$ and doing a total random act of kindness and finding some active military/police/firefighters or some old couple and buying their breakfast for them, if I could finish it. (if you do this challenge during the end of the year time you can get the pumpkin spice pancakes)
leatherby's has an ice cream challenge, not sure if you knew about that.
I actually attempted the el jefe burrito place in natomas though 25$ for a monsterous burrito not to bad...although its just a free meal if you finish.
have you tried any other challenges in our area?
-
Nope, never done a challenge; I like watching/following competitive eating because I find it interesting but actually doing challenges isn't really my thing. Just thought that one may be a fun thing to go for especially since it is close, still not sure if I really want to or not though.

I've only tried the one challenge, but I do find it interesting to watch. It's definitely worth trying atleast once just for the heck of it, most cases you'd only be out 20-40$ to stuff yourself and even if you dont finish you have left overs :) (even though since the burrito challenge I've not had ANY desire to have mexican food since thats why I'm afraid to do the leatherby's challenge)

Yeah, it was just "another binge". lmao
Ah, not a challenge guy; would be fun and all but not really my thing. Enjoy watching others beat them though; I enjoy eating but not a speed type of person.
hey man 4 pints of ice cream later, you sure should be fine with volume ;)

Won't lie, that BBQ looks phenomenal, huge fan of meat myself.

^^ that randy is just a bottomless pit. I'd think by just his sheer size he would have an advantage? granted stonie kind of throws that logic out but kind of like easier to make a ferrari faster than a ford fiesta fast.

That's why most top eaters are not obese, think Kobayashi, and Stonie for great examples of that.

Introducing - THE MONTH OF UNLIMITED MACROS!
The Video

Still finalizing all of the final stuff. But I felt like I get most of point across in the video. After my 40+ lb cut, and with my cardiovascular ability being the best it's ever been, the idea finally came to me.. "What would happen if I went a whole month eating whatever..whenever?". For the most part, I already do this but also keep in mind that I ALWAYS have believed in getting necessary micro-nutrients as well. The idea of "self-experimentation" has always been appealing to me.. This will be my very first one. I'll be monitoring/posting videos and documenting..

(All video logs.. done weekly or daily)
- Food Porn/Food Challenges
- Mood Changes
- Training Videos
- Cycling Performance (increase or decrease)
- Weight Gain/Loss
- General stuff

Really excited to see where this brings me. A lot more I can say and WILL say on the basis of why I'm doing this little "experiment", but I'll finish up with that later. Time to go to work!
STAY TUNED!
Introducing - THE MONTH OF UNLIMITED MACROS!
Wont lie, did this when I was 20 or 21 after losing all of my weight from my teen years, did the whole 'Fck Yeah! Bulking Time!' thing for about a month and a half. Ate half a jar of PB almost daily, M&Ms and donuts, cookies, ice cream... I just railed food non-stop.
Felt sick most day and just gained about 30 pounds of fat. Would not recommend.

Look at what you were eating so much of every day though! What I think he meant is that he isn't going to track, but still eat good filling foods. Yeah he will have his sweets, etc. but I think the main take home is that if he is hungry at 2 in the afternoon and is out and about, instead of tracking and following his guidelines, he may say f*ck it and snag a burger. I like this idea and am interested in to how this "test" goes for the month!
