hey guys im strongly considering some type of food challenge, mostly to get mentally stronger as i think it can really build your character.
now what im doing so far is working on volume of food. im not that fast yet but i manage to eat 3-5 lbs of food per seating mostly cucumbers, lettuce, tuna and some sort of vegetable ratatouille, takes me like 20-30 minutes.
Goal is to be able to do at least 10-15k kcal in real food (pizza, pasta, meat, pancakes etc) in like hour time frame not cucumbers and chit as that is like 200 kcal per lb but that builds volume for now.
also i want to eat one 10+lbs watermelon in one seating under 45 minutes. any recommendations im already subbed on Erik's YT so that is a help, ill prepare for it one more month with slowly adding volume and then ill try it. you think my plan is good?

Wouldn't start with pizza, that's a different beast.

Heads of lettuce are good training as they're cheap and heavy. I make a homemade honey mustard from lemon juice, stevia, water, mustard, and like a tsp of honey. Makes veggies easier to handle.

New challenge up, first one since the 20k. A bit rusty, and didn't prepare for the volume as I was expecting to only eat 50 mac n cheetos more for speed. For you big big big eaters in here (aka darron and erik and/or anyone else who can do similar volume), [spoiler]I ate the first 50 nuggets in 9 mins. The first 80 by 22 mins. Then took ~10 mins for the next 10. And another 10 mins for the next 10.[/spoiler] My thoughts are that my stomach capacity was too low this morning so my body was rejecting the food harder. Does that sound like a valid diagnosis for the major slowness at the end?
I normally stretch with veggies/fruit the night before any sort of volume challenge, but in this case, it was an on the spot decision. I'm trying to work up my capacity at the moment and any tips would be awesome.

I would say so. Flavor fatigue is another factor to consider as well. When I did the jumbo gyoza challenge a while back, I slowed way down because of the flavor and grease. Sucks that they don't carry the Mac n' Cheetohs anymore though lol.

No, not necessarily. "Mukbang" is a term that originated from korea. Essentially it features more "interaction" with viewers as opposed to challenges which are.. challenges. lol.

Somewhat. I've considered doing them "live" but idk, I like to be more interactive during my lifestreams as opposed to wolfing down large amounts of food. lol
See, I already have my wife and dog to me wolf down large quantities of food. The dog is the only one that seems interested though.

I'm not worried about the challenge itself, it's just after all I had already eaten. 4 pounds would not have been doable in 30 minutes.
