Did the same for NSCA National con every year its out in Vegas. This is my go to spot for gym training while in town. Talked to a few of the newer pros every time, the most humble and down to earth athletes you will ever meet IMO. The overseas guys more so. I think they still just humbled to be in US competing on US soil where BBing is more adaptable and accepted.

Only four have done it, INCLUDING furious pete. If I fail to do it, it's 40$ down the tube!
Let's get it!

ErikTheElectric Take on "The 24 Sliders in 24 Minutes Challenge!”
The Location:
Citizen’s Kitchen & Bar - Las Vegas, Nevada
The Challenge:
The Challenge was simple. Eat TWENTY FOUR of Citizen Grill’s sliders in 24 minutes (and not a second longer)!

Name up on the wall of fame (only four previous winners
Meal Free
Eternal Glory!
The Video

Final Thoughts:
Tonight I took on Citizen Kitchen & Bar’s “24 Sliders in 24 Minutes” Challenge!
The challenge was to eat 24 hour of the restaurants sliders in 24 minutes, and I would get my name on the wall of fame (only four previous winners) and I would get the meal free. If I failed the challenge? I’d have to fork over $40 and I’d be put on the wall of shame!
Let me just start by saying this was by FAR my hardest challenge yet..
I came into this challenge knowing that the BREAD would be tough.. and oh it was! I watched “Furious Pete’s” video this morning of himself taking down the challenge in 19 minutes flat.. and I wanted to beat that. Unfortuantely, I wasn’t able to beat his time due to not preparing properly and after a night of light drinking.
After seeing pete struggle with this challenge on video this morning, I contemplated even doing it.. but I figured I was IN LAS VEGAS! It was time to do something epic, and “push my limits”.
The bread came out hard and VERY tough. It was WAY too doughy and thick and was like eating wall plaster. The patties were the opposite, absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked. On the other hand, EACH slider came with an obsene amount of pickles and onions.. (which I despise). The HARDEST part of the challenge was having to do ALL of this in ONLY 24 minutes (as I am NOT a speed eater).
Proud to say that I powered through, and I managed to end up being the FIFTH person to ever complete the challenge out of dozens! Time was just shy of 23 minutes! And I earned my way up on the wall of fame! . Again, this was my hardest challenge I’ve ever done. I’d estimate that it was between 5-6lbs of food.. within a 24 minute period! Other than the time limit, I definitely think I could’ve done it quicker if I had paced myself at the beginning I took down WAY too much bread, way too fast at the start of the challenge. Which filled me up very quickly!
Looking forward to the next one!

No, literally the owner said those exact words. "It was cool seeing pete do it! You're definitely the smallest guy out of all of them".
Still makes me chuckle when people try to base ones stomach capacity on their body size.

It felt strange seeing Petes video, I chose to do the challenge on Friday night and came across his video the next day (3 days ago he posted it haha).
Weird that he did it back in September and just now posted it.

There's a spicy wing challenge right in the town I live in now (not too interested but may do it just cause)... But there are 2 burger challenges about 1.5 hours away in the town I used to work and go to college in (and where my sister is at college now).. So would be easy to get someone to film it and have somewhere to stay, etc.

Why do you need to stay somewhere? I've made 1-2 hour drives for some of my challenges. It's worth it!

Start small(ish) and work your way up, also wouldn't advise a burger for a first challenge.

Loved my first challenge and as a burger
absolutely tore through it with ease, and remarkably was one of the better burgers i ever had with 4 cheese's and sauteed peppers/onions under the cheese as a big mac like setup
Then again I do not have the luxury that other cities do with choices and had to travel over 2 hours just to do the challenge. hopefully more open up around me sooner or later. besides 2 footlong hotdogs

Holy freaking jaw workout batman! Volume and speed are not even being tested as much as jaw endurance would be! I hurt watching that!
I F&*ING love snickers bars however so this would be damn fun to to in a head to head gig with someone else using the mini's to see who could eat like 30 of them the quickest.
-
watching that stonie vid with the snickers is making me almost regret buying that 1lb snickers

Wide variety of reasons.
Burgers tend to be "harder" due to the top bun + starches that come a long with it.
Burger challenges tend to be bigger (more lbs)
Usually come with additional veggies
Easy to screw up (if you want it cooked perfectly)
Taste gets boring quickly, unless you get a good challenge
I could go on.
Similar to randy?
Give "Freak eating" and "Matt Stonie" a watch.
Doesn't even compare to Chicago deep dish, but it does the job. :)
Should have gotten their new Pretzel Crust, pretty good.
Stonie on a 1 pound Snickers... haha told you guys, nougat knight stick; tore through the 1 pound Reese's yesterday, washed down with some chocolate milk, had to get 1% since store was out of whole milk- also had Eggnogg with it, poor choice. Love eggnog but the thickness of that with the peanut butter made it too hard to eat.

Any challenge and its taste gets boring when you eat pounds of it.
It is a law of diminsihing returns on volume challenges anyways, its more a mind over matter challenge in telling yourself not to give in when you hit the wall which may fail the first one or two times they try because it is pretty uncomfortable when taking in a bolus of food.
Burgers can be bigger, but pizza's are probably going to be the hardest out of the gate, its also a safe bet for most on what they enjoy (burgers) Compared to exotic or authetic foods like mexican which turn a lot of people away, some people love or hate it. Subs may be pretty hard too (more bread compared to one single burger) depending on size.
if the burger comes with a boatload of fries (over a pound) that is where the individual may struggle after taking down the burger , and bun. Then again most people are not use to eating over a few pounds of starches in a sitting. First time i will never forget almost wanted to fall asleep an hour later haha.

I see what you did there^ ;)
The 4lber doesn't come with fries so that may be of some help.. I feel like I might do better with more protein over more starches!
