Quick shot from last nights awesome challenge in downtown San Diego. 17 people competed, 2 finished. I had the owner split my $500 gift card with 2nd place finisher Kevin Ross due to his 1 hour drive to come racing into town after class in the rain to do the contest last minute with me. I knew for a fact he would push me if he came and that he did! He finished less then 30 seconds behind me making him the 2nd best time to date and the 5th person to finish the challenge in now 67 attempts.
Not sure you can see the pictures in this album but its located on my ******** page here:

I freaking love this challenge (as much the 2nd time as I did the first) since its all breakfast fare.....my favorite kind of challenge!
PS....Yes I did use Walden Farms blue and strawberry syrups of my own during the challenge. I like these two flavors best with pancakes and regular syrups I hate after like 4-5 hits of it every time without fail. Plus the WF goes down way easier then regular thick stuff.
I urge anyone in or who passes through San Diego from this thread to please take on the challenge solo or with a group and tell them Josh sent you in. That should get a smile from them for sure!
PS...PS...
Major questions I got after the whole thing was done:
1. how are you not like super fat from doing these?
2. did you starve yourself for like 2 days before this?
3. what was in those bottles you brought with you? is it a special kind of syrup?
4. do you feel sick right now? are you going to go puke later?
^ Props Josh
Actually surprised that you think WF goes down easier than normal syrup. From my experience... WF is thick as hell.

Are we comparing to something like Aunt Jemima or real, 100% maple syrup? Because the latter is also extremely thick.
Are we comparing to something like Aunt Jemima or real, 100% maple syrup? Because the latter is also extremely thick.
Aunt jemima (that's all I see in breakfast restaurants like dennys and IHOP). I just have always thought that it was less thick than WF.
Hope to see Stonie upset Chestnut today in the chili cook off in orlando.

he texted me a few times today because he is always nervous even though hes the #2 eater in the world.
Last time he said that he took on chestnut in deep fried asparagus and beat him.
Hope thats the case.

Gotcha. Never bought the WF, but the Joseph's Sugar Free Maple Syrup is super thick as well, presumably because it's trying to imitate the pure deal versus the fake stuff. Wouldn't be surprised if WF is using a similar strategy.
There are some places that will offer you real maple syrup for a small upcharge. If you've never had it with your pancakes I'd encourage you to try it if you ever run into an opportunity. It's far too pricey to be a grocery staple (at least for me), but it's great for an occasional treat.
Stonie got Rocked. 4th place in Orlando. Chestnut set the new world record.

There was a moment right after he downed them all where I honestly thought he might pass out. He looked pretty shaky.
Donuts are one thing. Ice cream is one thing. But what he ate there was was straight up deep-fried frosting rolled in sugar. Hardcore.
not really sure but I challenged myself today considering I ran my first half marathon ever at the age of 34 (finished in 1hr 51mins if anyone is curious) so I got myself a 36" pizza...thing was gigantic

This Sunday anyone game for this with me? Be 10 days since my last eatfeat gig and thats too long in my book. Too darn busy with work and weekend classes to lead. Looks like Sunday I'll have the day all to myself and I think this could be the next classic burger challenge I shoot for! (far from the biggest I have done) but perhaps the most unique in terms of contents!
I think it has had like 40 some people take it down in the 30 minutes. Not sure how many have tried it or how long its been around.....will find out soon!
I find its actually more fun to do these with or against someone then solo.....which I never thought I would say.....

My gah that's a lot of pizza! And in my book I would easily say that's a respectable finish haha (both the half marathon and pizza)

I agree! I have one hour to finish it.. I feel like the burger and hotdog I could put down quick, but I don't know about all those fries & tots!

5.5 pounds for a first challenge may be a little rough as a FYI

Haha never! That's the thing, I'm a little skeptical about it.. But there really isn't much to offer for challenges in my neck of the woods! I did do the 33 pancakes at IHOP a few weeks ago if that counts, but I know it really wasn't a "challenge"

agreed! find a 3-4lb burger or burrito gig that you can test yourself with first. a solid first time win will help you better prep/pace/plan and be ready for a bigger one like this. don't want to have a nasty bad first experience on your very first challenge do ya? however....if this is just for ****s and your cool with throwing in the towel if it gets to that point then no harm done either, have fun and enjoy!
