[I]So today, I took on the "pigs trough challenge" in order to to qualify for the "pro division" for Farell's Ice Cream 6th annual eating contest which will be held in downtown Brea, CA on the 19th of July!
At the finals m, the two individual who has the fastest qualifying time will go head to head with the reigning champ.. Naader Reda and the two will have to eat a 7lb sundae in the fastest time possible. The winner WILL RECEIVE $750 and free ice cream for an entire year!
The record for today's 6 scoop sundae was 1:35 (which is when Naader did it back in 2013). I completed my sundae today in 1 minute and 8 seconds! 6 scoops of chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla! All topped with whipped cream and hot fudge!
Let's hope my time holds up so that I can eat some more ice cream! [/I]

Did you have to pay for the challenge? or free if you finish?
If I had to pay, I probably would have taken more time, still attempted to do it with speed, but not shovelling it down.

Yes, It was a paid challenge. Would've made no sense to take my time with it, seeing as the goal is to qualify for the main event.

Stonie will need to push 55+ to beat chestnut I am going to go out on a limb and say chestnut hits 57 and stonie 54 (and i am a stonie fan)
Weather should be nice outside, they will be bringing their A game.

Great to see Stonie take the win, Bob did call the within a few hot dogs of each other though; some impressive numbers on the board. Always surprises me the stomach capacity (from a physical/medical standpoint) of competitive eaters.

Very dissappointed right now, but I'll try again next year! :/
