Things are going good. The finger is feeling alot better but I still do not know what I did to it. The home gym is in my shed which is 10x12. Lifting in my own gym allows me to o setups I cannot do at other gyms.

Home gyms are badass. I can't wait till I live on a farm and have the gym of my dreams in the barn.

Weighted in at 170lbs for the 175 and under class.
First event was the log press which was 230, well in my strongman fashion I bombed the log. After the first event I was tied for third with two other guys who did not press the log.
Event number two was a farmers and tire flip medley. I felt that I would do well in this event and I couldn’t have been farther from the truth. I made the 60 feet with the farmers which were 230 a hand but flipping the 600lb tire did not work. The tire had a tread I have never touched before which was flat with the ground. I ended up 4th in this event and I was sitting in last place at this point I think.
The third event is where I turned my day around. The event was the car deadlift and I knew for a fact I would win this event. Well 18 reps later I won my first event of the day in dominating fashion. If you count the reps in the vid I did 19 but the judge was not watching or I didn’t wait for the down command, you can decide.
The truck pull was the fourth event and I pulled that truck to a second place finish in the event and back on to the podium. I believe the truck was 18,000lbs.
Of course the last event was the stones. If the first guy place bombed stones I would have a shot to win the show for my class. Well that did not happen but I was the only person in the 175 class to get the 300lb stone which gave me first place in the stone load.
At the end of the day I finished in second place and got my ticket to nationals. I am very happy with how the day ended but know there is still work to be done.

Went to work today and was having trouble carrying and tearing up carpet but for some reason I thought I could train. Well our third job canceled and I headed home to lift. I got home and started warming up for squats and just as soon as I started loading weight to the bar my boss called, back to work I went. Now I was heading back to work pissed and jacked on 1.m.r. Well I got through the day and in hind sight it was better to have a few rest days instead of jumping into Smolov intense 48hrs after a strongman comp. Going to take the rest of the week with light weights and speed work and see how I fell on Saturday.
Best part of the day was watching a chubby girl eat cement while she was jogging. This happend after we ended the day for the second time.
The plan for the upcoming weeks is to run Smolov intense cycle MWF with LIME bench on Monday and Friday then take DL and add itto my strongman training. My meet in August is the next priority. I should find out what the events for nationals the week before my meet so after the meet I will start training for nationals.

USAPL meet, the twin cities open. We should try and do the UPA meet in I think november.

Monday Smolov day 1
got up to 4 @ 355 and brain said no more. Worked 12.5 hrs and started workout at 8:30.
Smolov day 2
Deciede monday was just a bunk workout, got to 385 and stoped after the second rep. Everything feels so heavy.
Work is killing me right now 10+ hr days and high intensity trainning are not working together at all. Talked to Austin and he said go 531 so I go 531 now yea! Ort/mag for the win.
My internet is broken so that is why I have not been around if anyone had the slightest wonder. Good luck to all.

Wierd thing is I am at my heaviest when I wake up in the morning. I am down about 10lbs from 6 weeks ago and idk how to feel about this.

So I do not have my spread sheet for 5/3/1 but I remembered the first weeks top number and went with to work. I bitched out on that set, it started to get hard and I quit. Front squats are hard but they felt really good. If anyone has idea's for assistance work please let me know.

So I cannot count and put the wrong weight on but at this point it really does not matter. I remember getting some good tri work with the sling shot at higher reps but it felt horrible so I stopped that really fast. I got out a 1 board and moved my grip in two fingers and this was so hard I could not believe it. To me 225 x 5 normal grip no board is easier than 185 x 5 off of a 1 board. Got a great pump from the kroc rows and it was nice to feel that again.

My hammies not strong GHR’s every workout until I can do them with added weight. I should have used straps on the last set like I always did with ort/mag, had at least ten. My built in band hooks worked great today and I figured out a better way to do GHR’s. I also figured out that the floor under my feet when I squat is not level so this weekend I am going to level it out and hope that helps my squat issues. I just ordered a pizza, yea dinner time :)

We can shoot for a total race in November for beer. I will probably lose, but its a bet. I wont make it this weekend, I am putting in 5 new windows and hopefully a new kitchen floor. Any chance you will be around this week? I will be in Cedar Rapids and can make a run down to your house to drop off bands.

Yea during the evenings and can get something worked out if that does not work. You should swing by just to see my gym, I just wired in new lights and put a fan up today. Only issue with november is if I make the trip to nationals or not IDK when the two fall out, what should to goal total be?

Honeslty I want to get back to 1100+ again. Anything better than that will be icing on the cake for me.
