Good article buddy! I like how you talked about dips. Most guys can't even do one (even though you mentioned that people can bang out a lot and release growth hormones).
Guys who have shoulder injuries should be careful with dips, since there is tremendous pressure on them throughout the up & down movement.
Good article. Keep it up!

Good article I agree, I use heavy dumbbells for chest but one of my favorite exercises is the machine fly. I just love the way it feels the constant tension. I actually feel more chest on the machine fly than the dumbbell fly, I'm probably not lifting enough weight on the dumbbell fly.

As someone who is just getting started into lifting and training my body and is also an ectomorph I found this article to be very helpful and informative to me. I'm going to try to incorporate some of this into my training and see how it goes. Thanks for sharing you knowledge.

Great article, will definitely use these ideas!

i am going to have to start doing dumbbell flys now

-

Great article, Looks like you put a lot of effort into typing this up! thank you :)

Great post for chest training I agree.
-
excellent and well written article, you're spot on about stimulating those particular muscle groups that way, and it certainly applies to chest training in that way.
-
It's odd because my training partner is 6'1'' with long arms, but he has had no problem building a massive, well-developed chest with just flat bench, close-grip, inclines and push ups. His shoulders/tris lack compared to his chest.
On the other hand, I have average height and average arm length, but my chest development is lacking compared to his. My shoulders/tris are more developed than his though and we bench about the same weight.
Must have something to do with our mechanics, and or genetics. He says he doesn't feel it much in his shoulders/tris even with his long arms.
Nice article though.

My brother wrote this :)
The "Mods" banned him because we share the same ip adress/pc (we have a family PC).
Can a mod please unban him?

Great article and anyone who says there are not different parts to the chest as far as working out is an idiot. I will keep this stuff in mind. I am an ecto and I have a pretty solid chest, but always looking for new ideas.

Thanks for writing this, bookmarked to come back too. My chest is small, but working on it.

Thanks for the great tips. Newer to lifting after taking a break from running so this was much needed.

Only read (most of) the first page so not sure if it's been asked but why would you recommend db presses instead of barbell? From what I understand and in my (little) experience it's easier to maintain form on a bb Bench and generally seems to be preferred.

Sets/Rep
Great article but is there an example workout of # of sets and reps of each exercise? Thanks
-
Hey i was just wandering if i should do all these in the same workout and how many sets for the presses? Very good article iam a Real Ectomorph.

DBs use more stabilizers and generally cause greater stress on the pecs.
