Whats up brothers and sisters of iron! Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is brandon, noob bodybuilder. Just did my first show last saturday , the NPC Excaliber . Took 2nd in the mens middleweight novice. Ive literally been partying non stop since , ready to buckle down and add lean mass to my small frame. I think I am going to take a good year off before I compete again.

Anybody in this hood doing the Bayou Classic in April?
I wanted to share with the bodybuilding.com community my transformation. I am 25 years old from Argentina but I live 6 months here and 6 months in Santa monica, California.
I started lifting weights just to get fit and to be honest, I never wanted to look like a bodybuilder or HAVE BIG MUSCLES, I thought it looked gross. Well, now I am a natural bodybuilder, I love this lifestyle and I will train and eat like one for the rest of my life. I truly believe that it is the hardest but the most rewarding sport there is. I am loving every minute of it and I love to inspire people to take action and achieve their fitness goals, whatever they may be. I like to see people make progress, feel great about themselves and inspire others.
I have entered 2 contests so far, the first one was on June 2013 (INBA/PNBA NATURAL MR LOS ANGELES and on January 2014 NPC IRONMAN MAGAZINE at the LA FIT EXPO)
I am planning to keep competing as a natural bodybuilder for the rest of my life.

why compete in NPC when you could become a professional natural bodybuilder?
as for me, won't be an NPC competitor till I actually have a chance and do what every other bodybuilder does to place well in that show ;)

Hello, I am extremely new to body building contests. My first Competition was back on September 6th where I placed 4th out of 6 in the Novice class and 3rd of of 3 in my Light Heavyweight class.
I am currently training and dieting for my next competition, and have considered doing another competition the weekend after that. Do you have any advice for prepping for consecutive competitions, especially when it comes to "peak week" diets and training?

The SoCal NPC Jon Linsay page has all of 2015 up . I'm not sure how everything is structured . Do the regional directors dictate shows/dates?
