I tried to embed them. When I 'previewed' my post, they were visible...
Anyway, I went with an FuT procedure.

Thanks. I am happy with the results, for sure. Definitely one of the best 'purchases' I have ever made.
Doctor: Dr. Alexander in Scottsdale
Number of Grafts: About 2300
Cost: $8,000

This
if this chit works so well, why does a billionaire like Lebron James draw his chit on making himself look ridiculous?
Ask a guy who's been here 16 years why he can't embed a pic
This is perhaps the first post I have made in half of a decade (probably longer).
Also, I searched on the forum before making the thread regarding how to embed pictures, and the method that was given (although it seemed to work when I previewed my post before submitting it) didn't work.

I have no idea. The ironically named Prince Harry is another one I absolutely do not understand.
I'm taking the dive soon.
Fuk hairloss. Hitting up True/Dorin in NYC early August providing covid doesn't fuk things up.
Will post when done for the misc and progress pics.
How long does it take for the scalp to heal and look better?
I want to do it but I'm a bit annoyed everyone will see my bruised scalp at work. Also does it hurt?

How many dr's did you look at? Was there a reason you chose this specific one? Im debating getting my hairline touched up myself. How many strands did you think you need vs what they suggested?
After you get the transplant is there anything you have to do to maintain it? Or are you set for life? Looks pretty good.
looks good brah
why FUT instead of FUE?
how visible is the scar?

Yeah, losing your hair SUUUUUCKS. If you can afford it, I definitely think it is worth it.

To COMPLETELY heal, it takes about a year and a half, or so. Most of the scabbing and stuff goes away after a few weeks though. There is still some redness for a while, so I used makeup to just cover it up and it worked fine. Nobody noticed.
During the surgery is does not hurt, but you will be given pain-pills. For me, it was sore for only about a week or so.

I did quite a bit of research on another forum, but I went with Dr. Alexander because of his reputation and the recommendations of others.
I had no idea how many I would need. I was originally told 2,000 by the doctor. But, he ended up doing 2,300 and only charged me for the 2,000 ($4 a hair!).
im guessing you are on fin or duta?

Honestly, you look bizarre for a while. First 3 months suck. Scalp redness lasts for weeks after the grafts have shed.

Yes, the secret to not going bald is keeping the hair you currently have. So, every day I apply Rogaine and take Propecia.
The hair that was transplanted along my hairline was taken from the back of my scalp. Those follicles are essentially 'bald-proof,' (which is why you see old guys always with the 'cul-de-sac' look) so I do not have to worry about them falling out, but I want to the rest of the hair on my head where it is.
im guessing you are on fin or duta?
Finasteride? Yes 1.25mg a day.
Honestly, you look bizarre for a while. First 3 months suck. Scalp redness lasts for weeks after the grafts have shed.
Yeah, I did mine when I had an extended break from work. By the time I went back, the scabbing was completely gone. There transplanted area was still red, though, so I used make-up to cover it up. And like I said, nobody noticed. At least, if they did, nobody said anything.
I only ever got one comment from someone (a coworker), and it was about a year or so after I had gotten the procedure, and she said, "Lance... are you doing something different with your hair?" and I said, "No, just getting it cut differently."
Do you have limp dikk or any other side effects from the daily medication you take?
I have read that some people suffer from ED as a result of taking Finasteride (though some people claim that there is no connection). I have been on it for about three years now, and do not seem to have had any such side effects.
How much pussy have you smashed since this procedure was finished?
2020 and no hair-loss solution out there yet.
It's like a trillion dollar industry just waiting.
Hope to do it myself in the nearish future. I've been off Propecia for a couple of years now though, still do the Rogaine. Need to figure out if my hairline is receeding slow enough where I could do it without finasteride and then just touch it up a bit down the road.
Looks good though man, $8,000 is a good price too.

Yeah, it is a uncertain time after the procedure. Looking odd and waiting to see results which take several months to role in. But for baldcels its a necessary evil. Basically its the boob job for guys it has become so common but we cant hide under a hat at work in most instances like women can under a shirt.
I had procedures in the past but need to do a final pass now years later. Once you start down the rabbit hole you kinda got to commit to it to get a desirable look although many good docs can knock it out of the park in one pass if the patient is a good candidate.
Norwood 5 and up often need to go back repeatedly thus fin being a necessary component to save what you have.
Can the medication stress out your liver or anything like that tho?
I am not familiar with that. I suppose it is the same as any medication. I have not had any issues, though.

I lived in Asia for about 8 years. So, there was no real difference from the last three years after getting my procedure versus the five before them.

I think Propecia and Rogaine can be considered hair-loss solutions. The thing is though, while they might grow SOME hair back, they are mostly for preventing hair from falling out. That is why it is important to be proactive about your hair loss and start taking preventative measures before it is too late.

Thanks. Yeah, $8000 was well worth it. Of course, if I had gone FuE it would have been twice as expensive ($8 a graft versus $4).
You ever think about documenting how much (if it all) your hairline is receding? Just take a quick picture once a month, or so. If it is receding, though, you definitely want to nip it in the bud.
How do these procedures age? Like when you're in your late 40s 50s does it start to look weird or require touch ups to not look weird?

Only if you bald further...the transplanted hair stays but native hair can indeed bald around the transplant making you have a odd appearance.
