I'd go with Elliott because I think his place in the offense is more secure and we know what Dak is. Cam had shoulder surgery so who knows if that will mean less targets for CMC. I feel like if Cam is 100%, the team will be more inclined to bomb it downfield instead of throwing to CMC 15 times a game.
I heard yesterday that Elliot is in some trouble again too. Had a meeting with Goodell over some incident in Vegas where he was detained.

He was at an EDM concert (i think), drunk, and "pushed" a security guard. In reality he didn't raise his hands to push him, but more got in his face, and the guy fell over backwards. In real life it's a non-issue, but with Goodell, I'm willing to bet he hands Zeke a suspension of some kind. 2 games minimum.

god it's always something with zeke. he'd be such an easy pick if he wasn't always in some ****

Goodell also has him in the crosshairs at all times after that whole domestic ordeal with the appeals. He will suspend Zeke for jaywalking if he can.
Whos having the better upcoming fantasy season. Mcaff or Elliot?
Are we talking PPR? If so, I'd go CMC simply for the volume of targets. Plus I like Carolina's offense as a whole much more than Dallas, even with Cam coming off a shoulder injury. I have little faith in Dak. Zeke also has a potential suspension coming, even if it is only a game or 2 for the EDC incidence in Vegas.
Carolina always has good seasons where they make playoffs and exceed expectations in odd-numbered years (2013, 2015, 2017). They always suck and miss playoffs in even numbered years (2014, 2016, 2018). I guess they're due for a good year this season lol

Interested to see whats up with this Zeke thing. Seemed like a non issue to me but who knows. Anyways, I think Zeke has a better season than CMC, but they are in the same tier for me. I would be glad to have either one.

Kareem Hunt questioned after bar fight. Stupid as hell. Even if he personally did nothing, it's HIM who has the lucrative multi-million dollar career on the line. He needs to get rid of his hood rat gangbanger friends and stop hanging out at bars late at night where trouble is bound to happen. Get it together, man. You're on your last chance.
100% this. Guy is so talented, I would hate to see him Josh Gordon his career.

Lots of fog around the Gurley Knee situation. gladley picking him up in round 3 lmao

He was on a zero tolerance policy with the Browns as far as I remember. May be the end of his time there already.
high on jones but he's not really a sleeper, he's going like 3rd/4th round
Hmm, wasn’t aware. I still think his potential is actually higher than Fournette, Ingram or Conner. Maybe even Mixon. And I love Mixon as a player.

I'd probably take both Conner and Mixon before Jones
never touching Fournette. Not sure how Ingram will do in a new backfield. Gus Edwards did pretty well there last year but I'd imagine the league adapts to BAL's "run the ball 50 times a game" strategy

If he's going to be a successful starting QB in the NFL, he's going to have to learn to use them effectively when he's facing 8 and 9 in the box.

I think it's more about whether he can throw the ball at an NFL level, rather than if he can use receivers effectively...

What's your opinion on switching waiver settings from traditional inverse order of standings to FAAB (Free Agency Acquisition Budget). My league is contemplating switching to FAAB this year and I really don't see any drawbacks. I think it's more fair because it let's everyone have an equal chance at getting a waiver pickup.
For those that don't know, in FAAB, every team is given a dollar amount for the season to make acquisitions (let's say $100 dollars for example). If you want to pickup a player on waivers, you have to put in a bid for that player, and it is a blind bid where you can only see the number that you are bidding yourself, you can't see what other people are bidding for said player. If you're just trying to pickup a replacement kicker for 1 week in which you have Justin Tucker on a bye week, you would probably only bid $1 dollar for said kicker. If James Conner tears his ACL, everyone will be scrambling to put a massive bid on his backup (Jaylen Samuels).
Convince me that waivers are better than FAAB brahs!

Nobody is going to try to convince not to use FAAB. You need to be using it.

^^
this
also waivers by inverse standings are stupid. either FAAB or rolling or just make it a free for all
I played in a league where it was waivers by inverse standings and the waiver didn't reset when used so the last place guy always had first dibs on the top FAs....and would still suck. Total fun killer
I think it's more about whether he can throw the ball at an NFL level, rather than if he can use receivers effectively...
It's interrelated. If he can't throw at the NFL level, he can't use his receivers effectively. My point was that the Ravens actually went out and invested in weapons for him so that he can be effective against stacked boxes if he can throw well enough.

Do you guys think Austin Ekeler takes over for MG or will it be a split with Justin Jackson? Seems like Jackson and Ekeler are pretty much the same as both can catch passes.

Are you referring to Gordon's trade demands? I think SD will pay him. Rivers is in his twilight right now, and they are a better team with Gordon on the field. Makes no sense to let him go now.

Obviously it makes sense to pay him but Chargers ownership is notorious cheap.

They have more important players that are going to be FAs next year and 2021. Rivers, Ingram, Bosa, and Allen. Give him a big fat contract, it's going to be hard to keep all of them.
I don't think they will pay him what he wants.

I'm surprised he isn't waiting until Zeke gets paid and the market gets reset again. Both Dallas and SD have a lot of talent to pay in the next 2 years, I'd say they both have a 2 year window for a run before they start losing key players due to price tags. Gotta hope they continue to draft well.

LA* chargers
I don't think overpaying for a RB is the way to go....worked out real well for Arizona and LAR lol
that being said Gordon is head and shoulders above JJ and AE in terms of skillset. If they pay him 10+m a year though they're fuked next season for resigning all their players

had to look up who exactly the chargers needed to resign...brb Rivers, Allen, Bosa, Okung, Ingram
arguably harder to replace players than a running back
-
So in my league, winner of consolation bracket (me) gets to pick their draft position. If you had your choice in a 12 man snake, .5 ppr redraft, where would you want to draft? Right now, I'm thinking 4 so I'm guaranteed one of Barkley, Zeke, CMC or Kamara. After that, I see a little drop off.
But I havent done much research yet and I'm continually second guessing what pick I should take. Help me brahs
