Cheers, Vic! Getting used to them :)
Oooo. The bands look interesting. I've never tried bands or used chains. Tend to lift in commercial gyms and the one for the last year has been very small with limited equipment. Maybe some day I'll get to try them out too. Nice work. You are starting out strong on the training.

Thanks Dawn :)
My husband and I are going to go to a hardware store at the weekend and see about making a block for the decline bench sessions. We did try looking around the house to see if there was anything, but there was nothing stable. Bench was okay - last couple of reps in the 66 sets felt a little tough, but doable. Found the 50 harder to control (think it might be going from a heavier to lighter weight) so need to work on this.

A father and his 10 year old daughter came just now to have a look, she is just starting out. He haggled a bit and I was prepared to drop the price a little, so it's now sold. Part of the selling price will pay for my Inzer belt (yeah!) and part will go towards the restoration of my great-grandfather's mantel clock which I had when my Nan passed away in August.
It's nice it's going to someone looking to start though. Music can be an expensive endeavor, quality instruments are usually quite pricey. It's great it'll go to a younger kid getting her start in music. :) On top of that, yay for belt, and clock restoration.
At least with piano they'res always the option to get a keyboard. I know it's not the same but they're relatively cheap and portable. I've still got my big clunky acoustic guitar in my closet and I swear one day I'll start playing again...in the meantime it's being blocked by all of my yoga props.
Haha, mine's in my closet too. Though it's an OM, so it's smaller, and less clunky. I got everything I needed to start learning/practicing with it, except the tuner (it was ordered, but the seller didn't send it, refunded it, and I never got a different one). Can't tune worth a damn by ear, so it's hard to work with when it won't sound right.
Someday I'll want to try again though, and it'll be there. Though I'll still have to get a tuner sometime. lol
I get it. I can hardly even get rid of a freaking tee shirt that I haven't worn in 5 years, so giving up something like a piano is crazy hard
Lol, I just went through all my clothes to get rid of stuff I don't or won't wear, and some of it was way harder than it should have been. Just sitting there for five minutes like "I know there's a stain, but I can wear this somehow, right?" I get attached to things.
Glad you get it :) must sound crazy to some people. There is the connection to my Dad as well, who was musical and really got into the fact that I played piano. It's the memories and feelings all rolled up and attached to the piano more than the instrument itself. Good job we're going out Saturday evening, I think I'll need a distraction!
Yes, I know these things all too well.

Yeah, it should see her through all her grades, if she does them :)
My belt has apparently begun its journey from Germany so I'm hoping it won't be too long! :D
You're going to LOVE the belt!

I'm so excited, genuinely! I'm so sad!! :D

That was my goal going into it, lol. Figured I'd get rid of anything I haven't worn in a year or more, or that absolutely won't fit even after leaning out. For the most part I was good, made some tough choices, but I know there's a few things I'm not entirely sure I should have kept. lol.

Yay! So excited! I never used one, so I'm looking forward to seeing how your lifting goes with it. :D

Me too, hoping I can figure out how to use it properly lol
Oh, I don't know how I missed your session! Awesome decline benching!! I will have to try it myself one day :)

Good pressing. I put plates under my bench because the angle isn't steep enough. It helps some. Blocks would definitely help too.
You get the lever belt?

I never thought of plates as I thought my bench might slide off them (it's a pretty cheap bench). I'll try plates but also try and sort out a block.
Yeah, ordered a 10mm lever belt. Can't wait to try it :D

Well I apparently hadn't subbed last time, so now I OFFICIALLY say "In" :)

Welcome, officially :D
So, I ordered this and it came today. It's had some good reviews from people on these forums as well as Amazon and the website I got it from, so I figured I'd give it a go. Works out at about £11 each month which I didn't think was too bad if it's going to keep my joints healthy. I guess I'll only know if it doesn't work if I start having joint problems lol :o

Info, in case people are interested.
Nutrition per serving (4 caps per day):
Glucosamine Sulfate 750mg
Chondroitin Sulfate 600mg
MSM 750mg
Hyaluronic acid 100mg
Cissus 1,000mg
I decided to accompany my training this morning with a 90s compilation album…brought back some memories lol. First go at paused squats and I can see how they’ll be a benefit for building that explosion out of the hole. For wide squats it felt like I was able to get lower this week, particularly in the second set.

Squat warm-up sets
Barx8
66x6
Squat (comp. stance)
100x5x2
Paused Squat (comp. stance) 1-2 count up

b/wx10x10
Would not have thought you would know 90s music
Nice squatting
Nice squatting! Mirin' that depth. :D
Those paused squats though ... they kill me at 200+ =/

This looks super promising. Please report periodically.

Thanks - and sounds like you think I am younger than what I really am. I'll go with that lol.
Nice squatting! Mirin' that depth. :D
Cheers, I need to make adjustments next time. Wade has said to ensure I am pushing my knees out on the comp. stance. At the moment I am pushing them forward, so will need to be aware of that next time :D

Mine were at a light weight (for me) so I have no doubt the challenge will increase with the weight!

Will do :)
