AST VP2 is the best, its one of the only 100% Hydrolyzed proteins. Made nice gains so far.
ON 100% whey ive been using the chocolate mint flav lately.
mmmm minty
EAS whey protein has done fine for me
Just bought the 10lb bag of Optimum but haven't tried it yet.

AST VP2 is a WPI, is it not?
Optimum 100% Whey Protein
Tastes great and you get awesome gains from it. One of the best protein powders in the game.
would it really make a difference to use ON 100% whey? I currently just use the no frills unflavoured brands and buy cheap in bulk. Taste aside, will it really help my gains much to switch to ON 100% whey?
If you are you into bodybuilding or better health, and you tired of the junk that companies say works and does certain things, but don’t, then you need to know about a company who makes state-of-the-art products. I have personally tried other products from the so-called ten “leading name” companies out there and had little or no success. I was tired of wasting hard-earned money, as I’m sure you are at this point. I then ran across a Muscular Development magazine, and saw the ad for All American East, a company that has been around since 1980. I called Mr. Tom Harris, who discussed his products and I was blown away with the success that I achieved with these products in such a short time. One his speciality products for protein supplementation is Protobol II™, which, after taking so many other brands, I view as the only real training powder on the market today. For gaining strength and muscle mass. Helps recuperation after workouts! Good for any athlete.
He also carries products such as Kre-Alkalyn®™, the real buffered creatine, which has no side effects and doesn’t turn into poison, plus it provides huge lifting gains and water weight loss. Tom also has a product called Blasterol 1000 ™ (testosterone) that blows away the competition in the first day. with immediate results. There are so many good products there, but I’ll let you go to the web site and check out these awesome products at All American East: http://www.trufax.org/aae/
i wonder what name is on the sig line of your paycheck. you even included the "tm" and registered symbols. hhhhmmmm.......
if any 1 could answer this question that would be great..well i just started using protein powder..and im using GNC's Pro Performance 100% Whey Protein..does any body know if its good?? bad??
the pro per whey is fine if u dont care about gettin mostly whey concentrate, i think its better qualtity then ON's whey. but pro performance mega isolate is deff better. personally i use AST's VP-2
alright man thanks..after i finish this 5lb jar of pro perf ill deff try that AST's VP-2
5 grams of BCAAs + 4 grams of glutamine ,each scoop
I dont need another protein or amino products ,Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey is enough for me. Daily I use 5 scoops , (am,pm,before workout, after workout and before bed time ) with meals
I ve nearly finnished Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey 10lbs , the best whey protein ı ve ever use ..
Greetin from Turkiye
Frankly, I still, other than taste, find very little difference in Whey protein. I too have been comfortable with ON but I have to honest I chose on the basis of price/gram of protein not some sales pitch promising me mega gains. The article below give you a comparison of contents and cost per gram of several Major proteins from one distributor. This gives an "apples to apples" comparison. I would assume if you researched another distributor, the protein price structure between those brands would be the same though another distributor may have more or less markup on the brands. Shop around is my point, other companies may have even better deals.

same here, was skeptical about the taste, but pretty good.
good stuff, use about 35g+maltodextrin PW shake and casein protein before bed.
that iron fortress walmart **** is crap, used it when I ran out of ON before, horrible.
Is Optimum Nutrition's serious mass a good weightgainer?
On 100% whey --Tons of everything in it
Great Taste
110 calories per scoop, so its a mass gainer too
-
1 scoop with breakfast
1 scoop after workout
ON 100% whey. Since I've been taking this delicious protein, not only do I have a constant smile (rather than hectic gagging) but I think I've gotten a lot more lean. There's tons of BCAA's, it seems that I'm still gaining weight without lots of BF and yeah... can't complain. Everything that people say about this protein is true. I don't know if I'll ever switch proteins again. It's not broken, there's no reason to fix it and unless a new miracle protein comes out, I'm sticking with it.
Props to ON for doing something unheard of. lol
Hands down ON 100% Whey. It tastes awesome, has tons of BCAA's, low fat and cholesterol, and 110 calories per serving. I have made great gains since I started using ON consistently.
I use "PVL ISO Gold" generally, but I have no problem buying any other good brand when on sale.
I am thinking of trying a new way of taking my protein powder. I have always taken it in the AM, then just before or after a workout and at night before bed..apx 37 grams per serving. I am going to try pulsing (I am 41) using a pulse pattern could be useful in preventing the age-related loss of muscle by increasing feeding-induced stimulation of muscle protein synthesis. 80 % of my intake will be taken at around noon, 10%/10% morning and night.
Just for a couple of months...as i am at a stand still in muscle growth. If it works I will let you all know...
The "best protein for gaining muscle" is, essentially, the highest quality protein.
And as far as whey is concerned, that would be Ergopharm GF-Pro, no contest. You don't go bringing up the subject of the highest quality protein and mention a concentrate or caseinate in the same sentence.
It's simple:
Whey Protein Isolate from Cross Flow Microfiltering or Cold Filtering, non ionized, non denatured
or
Cold Processed Micellar Casein, with the same conditions applying as above
That's it. It's not ON Whey. It's not calcium caseinate. People seem to have an inordinately difficult amount of time understanding the difference between "best tasting" and "highest quality". The two categories are NOT interchangeable, citizens. If anything, they're opposites.
"Whey Protein Isolate from Cross Flow Microfiltering or Cold Filtering, non ionized, non denatured"
I agree with this.
So how much does On's whey make you bulk? I just want a protein powder that will give me muscle gains, not make me so big that I look disporpotionate to my body.
for hardgainers i would say check out www.americanbodybuilding.com look at their "extreme xxl" shake (in bottle) 1090 cal 50g protien 220g carbs 1/bottle 24oz. its expensive but you get what you pay 4.
Nitro techh is the best muscle building protein powder.. well i have tried it for about a month and have gotten serious mass gains. i have tried both on 100% optimum 2 but nitro tech is in a wayy bigger level den optimum and all the otherr proteins out dere

I agree, NitroTech gives lean mass, whereas Optimum makes you bulky.
I just started using Optimum Nutrition's 100% Whey Gold Standard. It tastes pretty good, has BCAA's, is low in fat, has 110 calories, and 23g protein per serving. I prefer mixing it with milk over water.
I agree, NitroTech gives lean mass, whereas Optimum makes you bulky.
Does NitroTech has as much BCAA? Or does BCAA the stuff that makes you bulky?
I agree, nitrotech is a good sup for lean muscle build, but since i already am a strong kind of guy and dont want to be "pigging out on sups" i switched to ON 100 Whey. in my opinion any whey protein will help, it just depends how concentrated it is. but if your taking a gramm per pound you weigh, then it should all be fine...
I've been using Optimum Nutrition's 100% whey for 4 years now and it's done nothing but good for me. Theres no way I could eat the amount of protein my body needs in a given day, and this powder gives me the lean protein I need. It also has a lot of BCAA's that a lot of other protein powder's don't have which is a plus.
I agree, NitroTech gives lean mass, whereas Optimum makes you bulky.
Uhhhh, NO
ON 100% whey or ON serious mass or N-Large II please help me in choosing on of these for max muscle gain .. i have already finished 5 lbs of ON whey and i am planning to shift to either of N-Large or ON Serious Mass 12 Lbs. or shpould i stick with ON 100% whey
